Love this Urban. I always find something from the sale rack. This time, found a vintage looking Lions shirt for $ 7.

I like a lot of UO clothes … they are usually a bit more funky than Forever 21 and stores like that. This location is the first UO I ever went to back in High School and when I walked in I was just amazed– the funky style I loved was embodied in a store! Now the look of this store is definitely mainstream, but still usually find myself pining over many of their clothes. Just stopped by there again tonight and it is pretty disappointing size wise compared to the store I’ve been used to in Kansas City. Also the employees were less than enthusiastic, maybe because it was an hr before closing? It was well kept and organized. The BESSTTTT part about this location is the SIDEWALKSALE — during the Art Fair in Ann Arbor in August you can get things for SO cheap. I have some shirts I bought from this sale 5 or 6 years ago that I still wear all the time and they were maybe 5 dollars !!! Get ready for a straight up zoo but its worth the hassle!

A decently sized UO in AA. Over-priced as are all UO stores, but what can you do. I go in here whenever I’m walking on State and am bored or when they have sales. They have a back to school sale early in September, but you won’t save much. And get there quick because students really do go crazy even to save 10%.

There is nothing particularly bad about Urban Outfitters. It’s a huge store, is right in downtown Ann Arbor, and has options for home/dorm room décor as well as clothing. The pricing is a little steep for what you get. A lot of their clothes seem to have this hippy-meets-hobo look which I don’t think is worth the price. But a fun store to visit nonetheless!

Pretty small Urban Outfitters located in downtown A2. I went in the night of the football season opener and half the store’s lights were out. I realize yes there was a thunderstorm that night, but it seemed like all the other businesses in the area weren’t having any problems. Selection was mediocre(especially for men’s).

I usually don’t write reviews for chain stores or restaurants, but it’s Art Fair week in Ann Arbor, and I thought I would let people know about the great deals that they have going on. Typically when I shop at an Urban, I go right to the back where the sale racks are. I flip through for about twenty minutes and find maybe one thing that is affordable, cute and fits well. Not that I don’t like their clothes, but it is usually really hard for me to find things that fit all three categories. BUT during Art Fair, they have some pretty good deals. All of their sales items are an additional 50% off. I found a really nice shirt for only ten dollars. I am thinking about going to back to look around again once they restock. It seems I’m not the only one who knows about their great sales this week. :)

Urban Outfitters, especially the A2 store, is annoying as hell to me. I bought a really cute button-down shirt there in 1999… but it literally fell apart after a couple washings. Though I’ll go in here with friends(many of whom rave about the clearance sales) every now and then, I have never bought anything there since that one shirt in 1999. The vibe inside the store is grating, carefully-crafted hipster chic. The staff look like they’re forced to wear the crap from the store and the music blaring sounds like pre-packaged mixes. As for the UO corporation, it generally exploits some of its target demographic. The store intentionally constructs a hip, youthful, progressive slant with its books, t-shirt slogans, and other faux-kitschy products. Remember all the Obama junk they were selling in 08? In reality, the president/founder of the UO chain is laughing at his clientele all the way to the bank, while funneling dough to conservative politicians with anti-gay platforms. But shhh! He doesn’t do press about that because it would be a detriment to his business. Why so many young people in a town like A2 shop here and support such a corporation is beyond me. I find it really disheartening. Point is, this chain stinks and the A2 store is no exception. Go to The Get-Up Vintage a few doors down instead! It’s actually cheaper, there’s a good variety, and you’d be supporting a good local shop instead of a corporation like this. And go to local shops Middle Earth or Acme for your kitschy needs.

THIS Urban Outfitters is fantastic. Yeah yeah, a lot is overpriced, but they always have sales and things you won’t find many places. And hello? Do i have to mention the insanity that happens during art fair time? It is the most glorious feast for the senses, so many clothes, so little money.

I sometimes can’t go in the store because I know i’ll buy a crap load of stuff I don’t need. They have awesome shirts and their scarves are AMAZING i always get a ton of compliments on them. They always have funky jewelery that you may not find at other places… they always have fun stuff for your house/apt like fun plates and cups to interesting pieces of art. Tons of fun little knick knacks too. All around AWESOME store.

Like any Urban Outfitters around the nation, the store is open later than most surrounding businesses to cater to the aimless wanderer. After studying at Starbuck’s across the street, I typically come here to refresh my tired eyes on some baubles, trinkets, joke books, and inexpensive clothing.

Pretty much a staple for sceensters and jocks alike; fashionable, cheap, and reasonably creative clothes. Their clothes are virtually guaranteed to self destruct before they go out of style too, so you’ll never be caught wearing dated UO clothes.

Fuck Urban Outfitters. I’ll happily go to H&M instead for much, much cheaper trendy clothing. And their clothes really do fall apart within literal hours of buying them. One more gripe: UO is known to rip-off small-time designers’ clothing designs(there’s a bar in Philly called 700 Club that had really funny ski caps with their logo, a few months later, UO is selling the same thing. gar.). Granted, you can’t copyright a t-shirt or hat, but you can not buy them from a bullshit overpriced company.
