Moustached /slightly hipster bar tenders are pretty helpful and several times now they have been up for making me some surprise thing based on some ingredients I love. They keep to themselves otherwise, which I like and it matched the rest of the dimly-lit, old school, speakeasy atmosphere.

Too expensive. Food was decent, portions were pretty small. If I had paid ~$ 12 instead of $ 35(after tax and tip), then I would give it for 4 stars instead of 2 stars.

Had a great time here last night. Selected The Ravens Club for a night out with a friend– from start to finish almost perfection. The server was a bit slow and uncomfortable at times, but was immediately forgiven when our small plates and drinks arrived. We chose the grilled carrots and pierogi to start the evening off. Carrots were wonderful as were the pierogi. Cocktails, no need for a mention– they are always thoughtful and delicious. We decided to stay for dinner and chose the farro risotto along with the sausage and clam dish. Both were amazing– full of flavor and texture. A wonderful evening catching up with an old friend… Thank you Ravens Club… see you soon!

Love this place. The BEST cocktails! My Husband loves the Whiskey and scotch selections. They have a rotating menu and I have always found something great to eat each time I visit. They now have a nice rotating dessert menu too, very yum… We sit at the bar by choice. You might need a little patience when they are busy, good drinks take time. So don’t be offput, relax and soak up the atmosphere.

Fancy, good little place if you ask me. Do I dare say that I’ve lived in Ann Arbor for 5 years and JUST went here for the first time(insert amazed gasps)!? We came in for an unexpected happy hour during the week and it was a little confusing if we sat ourselves or waited for a seat. But alas we sat down and were greeted by a friendly waitress who explained the happy hour specials and some of their signature drinks. I had a «dark and stormy» which was a delicious blend of tangy ginger beer with rum and fresh lime that kept the ginger from being overwhelming. We also snacked on some french fries, which were certainly not the usual french fry. First, it was a HEAPING bowl, overflowing in fact. They were fried perfectly, slightly charred on some pieces and it came with a garlic aioli that just made my taste buds sing! The contents of the bowl quickly disappeared among us and we picked at the little scraps at the bottom. The atmosphere encourages you to stay a while and enjoy conversation among friends. I’m sad that it took me so long to visit here but I’m certain that I’ll be coming back!

It’s easy to talk the talk but Raven club walks the walk. The cook here is always cooking up something special. This restaurant/bar has its locally farm-to-table bought vegetables and meats that takes there food to another level and the tastes are so flavorful and amazing. The Raven clubs servers and staff are cheerful and well versed on all the menu items and all the craft beer/wine/whiskey selections. The drink menu is a great guide to new things you’ll want to try. This is one of Ann Arbors hidden gems and a must try if your ever in the mood for a memorable food experience or your just looking for a classy place to have a drink with friends.

My favorite cocktails in town! Awesome bartenders and knowledgable staff. The food is almost always good with the very infrequent miss. I bring all of my out of town friends here. The space is dark and moody and I like it, though I probably wouldn’t bring grandpa here — it’s almost too dark sometimes(but what good bar isn’t I suppose?). I dream about the poutine & their take on the Moscow mule.

Started out having a great time, but I was really upset when they were making old fashioned out of the spout and would refuse to make a real and true one. The bar was extremely racist in its approach, I understand that it maybe a few extra and you are busy… But I have never been thrown out for asking for a drink to be made fresh… Especially if you are in the list of «top 10 bars in Ann Arbor. «more like the top asshole bar employees in the world, Ann Arbor deserves better… #Harbaugh deserves better!

Had the Old Fashioned to start… fantastic. Then went to You Were A Kindness When I Was A Stranger… awesome. Ate the cashews… yum! Rest is classified. Great place! West side of Ann Arbor. Nice area. 1st time in this area. Bartender was great. A properly stocked bar with an emphasis on whiskey.

I really enjoyed my time here! The wait staff was very attentive, we were seated right away, and the drinks were retro and well made. We arrived earlier than one person in our party and the waiter still dropped in on us just to see if we wanted to order anything in the mean time. As soon as she arrived and got settled he checked in again to get her order. The service here was amazing. They made their 20% tip easily. The drinks seem steeper priced than some cheap college bars in the area, but I felt like a well made drink in a place that wasn’t filled with frat boys was worth it. I’m already planning on next visit. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I couldn’t give a star for the restroom(didn’t visit), and my drink(Saffron Rum Fuzz — $ 10) was what we kept calling«a sipper» — tall thin glass and a lot of alcohol. They seem to have a rotating/seasonal menu, which makes for some of the best eating. I’m guessing this because their menu tonight was one page that said Summer 2015. The fresha the betta. Don’t forget to check out their rotating tap chalk board!

The atmosphere is top notch. I absolutely love it, and would just come here to chill and hang out with friends. I can’t really speak about the food, as I’ve not ordered anything to eat here. Our friends sampled a variety of whiskeys, to which, all were happy. I am allergic to whiskey, so I wasn’t able to partake in the activities. However, I was happy with our corner booth, and great server. The place is actually a lot bigger than I expected, and the bar pretty much runs the entire length of the space. Décor, like I stated before, is very nice and has an old-world rustic charm to it. For now, 4 stars, but next time, I’ll be sure to try something off their food menu, and report back on my experience! Good job guys! :)

A speakeasy style bar that has both indoor and outdoor seating serves old fashioned cocktails with a twist. I personally enjoyed the Tom Collins with rhubarb. While the food menu is relatively small, the farro risotto I chose was both delicious and filling. It’s a bit pricy but the quality is sufficient and the décor is equally as appealing.

Ann Arbor is expensive and this place is expensive by those standards. Pros: Drinks are good, fries with aioli Cons: Price, long wait, crammed, service can be spotty. A year ago I would have been a little happier to spend hard earned money at this place, but these craft cocktail places are popping up everywhere and at the end of the day, this place is only average by those standards. Are the old fashioneds good, absolutely. Are they better than what I can do at home, no. So I’m not spending 10 dollars on one anymore. If I was to go here I would sit down and have ONE drink with a special someone and then get out of dodge because if you enjoy a night of drinking this place will set you back. Also, they have some really delicious fries. They are handcut, well seasoned, and then you have an amazing aioli to dip them in. Service at times is spotty and while the bartender always seems to make a good drink, that enthusiasm doesn’t translate to the wait staff. This is disappointing to me because I really enjoy a good cocktail. At other places the bartenders really make love to that thing and they share an excitement with their customers. Now here, the bartenders are always so swamped that you can’t get a good conversation in with them. Either the wait staff is swamped too or I’m just a jerk because they never seem to want to talk to me about the cocktails. I remember in New York I asked a waiter what would you go with the shrimp or the lobster and the idiot said«I don’t know what to tell you one is shrimp and one is lobster» … I get that same type of vibe here. In closing, the drinks are good but I feel they fall a little short of the price of admission. That will add up so try and be one and done because if you make a night out of it your wallet will be much lighter.

I don’t understand how this place doesn’t have at least a 4-star rating, so I will try to sway all of you who are reading to try this place! For starters, a little bit of background: My partner and I are homebodies. We tend to stay in and watch Netflix as opposed to going out on weekend nights. However, Ravens Club will always draw us out. We have never had a bad experience here. First of all, their drinks are on point, always. They have a variety of artisanal cocktails, a plethora of craft beers, and an extensive liquor menu. I’m partial to anything with ginger beer, and every drink I have had has been perfectly tendered. Now, their food. Oh the food is perfection. The taste is greatly impacted by their fresh ingredients, as they tend to revolve their menu around what is in season. Their portions are perfect, not exactly a small plate but not the heaping out of control Cheesecake Factory plate either. My partner and I first tried their chicken liver mousse, which comes served on toast with pickled ramp relish and pistachio. We had no trouble ordering half with pistachio and half without, as my body has turned on me and no longer allows me to eat those delightful nuts without my throat closing. The chicken liver mousse was a delicious, savory treat, which I can only imagine is perfectly rounded out with the salt and texture of the pistachios on top. We then received our respective entrees, fried chicken with mac and cheese, and rabbit pot pie. The fried chicken was crunchy, a little spicy, and moist, perfectly paired with the rich and creamy baked mac and cheese. However, my rabbit pot pie was the true star of that meal. Having never had rabbit before, I am thrilled that my first experience with that meat was in the hands of the Ravens Club. Slightly gamey, but mostly sweet, the rabbit was mixed with the familiar and comforting pot pie vegetables and cream sauce, nestled in a flakey crust. Needless to say, it’s been one of my favorite dishes I’ve tried in Ann Arbor. If you are looking for a dinner and drink spot where you will be served quality food and delicious cocktails, Ravens Club is your place. The ambiance is comfortable, and the volume isn’t too loud. The service staff has been attentive, and they know their menu. The prices are reasonable, especially for being a spot on Main Street. I don’t know what more you could ask for!

I came here on the recommendation of a friend for its charcuterie boards, which did not disappoint. The polder cheese and tartufo were particular favorites. The housemade accompaniments(pickles, beets with orange zest, etc.) were also very good, as they packed a punch of sharp flavor to the meats and cheeses. I got to sit in the back round booth, which made the meal more cozy. The place is dimly lit, which gives it an intimate feel. I enjoyed the food, but I can’t say I was wowed or blown away. Definitely worth at least a try though.

The Ravens Club sits on the eastside of Main street between Liberty and Washington. I have watched many restaurants come and go from this building. I sometimes wonder if this block/building is cursed — what else can explain so many failed business from one building?
The Ravens Club is holding on by a french fry and vodka prayer.(in my opinion of course) Super hot spot for craft cocktails and really nice small plates. For instance, the french fries with garlic aioli are fantastic. Nice munch, crunch and goes well with any cocktail. The smoky deviled eggs may be more of an acquired taste, however, I see how they would be a favorite as well. We weren’t brave enough to try the Chicken liver but the order of fries was large enough to keep both of us happy. As I love any spin on a Moscow Mule, we hit up happy hour, last Friday, for The Ravens Club ‘Cold War’ cocktail.(seasonal infused vodka, lime, ginger beer) Ordered the fries, and deviled eggs, along with our drinks. The rating is for overall experience, not just the food. The fries and Cold War drink are four stars — though the service is a large part of any review. Our waitress, Miss Thang, needed a class in customer service. She was abrupt and snotty, until she put the bill down, then there were smiles and well wishes. Twice she grabbed my glass before I was done with my drink, totally indifferent to our deciding to order more or take off. Having to jump up and go after her to get my straw back, to be able to drink my new drink clearly was an irritation as I was interrupting her conversation with a guy at the bar. My girlfriend discarded her screwdriver straw, as it tasted like someone’s fingers.(her words, not mine) We didn’t stick around for more of whatever was coming our way. I will give this place another shot and soon, but I do hope the server was just having a bad day.

This review is strictly for their non-alcoholic drinks, as that is all I have tried. Back in California, every single bar that I have been in, even dive biker bars, have a non-alcoholic option. This is usually in the form of non-alcoholic beer, which is fine. It has been estimated that ~20 percent of the world does not consume alcohol, so it definitely makes sense from an economic standpoint to have non-alcoholic options at bars. In Michigan, I am lucky if I find a bar that carries non-alcoholic options, even piss-water O’douls! I have been to bars, where upon asking the bar tender, I received disgusted stares of disapproval. Screw you and your establishment! I am stoked that this is not the case at Ravens! There are some really good options for the N’alchies that taste pretty darn good! My favorite is the Mockingbird Cobbler, which is berry with a kick! Other interesting options are the Odd Man In and Seasonal Shrub. At 6 bucks a piece you can hang out with friends for a good price! Keep on Keeping on Ravens!

Yea, I’m in. The ambiance is very cozy and the prices are completely reasonable in my opinion. I’m used to such cute places charging so much more which would make stopping by here a rare occurrence. However, I was able to get a lamb risotto for about $ 11 which is a steal paired with a glass of whiskey. A perfect Monday dinner if you ask me. Their happy hour is legitimately 1 hour which is a bit disappointing(I believe it was 5 – 6, but don’t quote me), but that likely won’t stop be from going often.

We came here during Ann Arbor restaurant week. Surprisingly, it was not busy on a Thursday night. Service was a bit slow. We could see our waiter outside chit chatting with other patrons for awhile when we were about ready to leave, other than that he was very friendly and courteous. My friend called ahead and asked what options were gluten free on the restaurant week menu as she has Celiac Disease. The chef had indicated which items on the menu were gluten free so ordering was pain free on her end when we arrived. First course was the chicken liver mousse with pickled ramps. This was a little weird and it was too heavy to start with. I wasn’t expecting the mousse to be spread on top already, would have preferred it to be on the side and have added to my liking. I wasn’t that big of a fan but it was something interesting to try. The ramps definitely made it better. Second course was coconut curry mussels. I would have been full off of this alone! The portion was larger than what I had expected and there was a lot of flavor. The curry had a good amount of spice as well as fresh jalapenos. I tried not to get full off of this since I knew that I had another course coming. Third course was the pork belly confit with fried grits and pickled strawberries. If you are to only order one thing from Ravens Club order this. Everything in this dish complimented each other. There was a balance of sweet, salty and fatty.
