Fairly average breakfast, diner style. Interior of restaurant was fine. Got the large fruit bowl which was good, came with strawberries, banana, cantaloupe, berries and pineapple. Hubby got the eggs Benedict, the sauce was very strange flavour… needs work.

Thanks Joanne of Afternoon Delight for replying! I came in last Saturday(6⁄25) around 11AM. I would love to give this place another go because of the your response and the service here. Maybe a simpler dish will do me better(that’s what I usually get here).

Cute place and great service. I wasn’t too impressed with my eggs benedict, though. The English muffin was burnt on the edges and the whole dish needed more seasoning. I’d come back and try something else on the menu.

Afternoon Delight had catered a work event that we had, and after telling my husband about the food he wanted to try it. We went early one morning and had the most delicious breakfast! He liked it so much he asks if we can go back almost every weekend!

Oh my. I have wanted to try this place for years, but alas, I am just not a breakfast/brunch girl! But honestly and truly, this place changed me! I LOVEBRUNCH! I want to become a bruncher now, to measure my experience against this fabulous one! We sat outside and there wasn’t even a wait(score!). They are generous with their soda refills which is so delightful. I was told the quiche is to die for, and I am so so so happy I ordered it! It was over the top wonderful. I got the quiche lorraine, but the other ones looked amazing as well. It comes with a side, and I went with the blueberry muffin which was good(I took most of it home and toasted it up with butter later in the day) but I would pick the fruit cup next time. It was far more generous than most fruit sides you’d expect. In short, I can’t wait to come back!!! Long live Afternoon Delight!

Afternoon Delight is a pretty popular spot in Ann Arbor, understandably. Both breakfast and lunch here are delicious! If you go on the weekend, expect a bit of a wait(the line does move quickly, though). It’s definitely worth it, but if you go on a weekday you’ll be able to get right in. They have table service until 11:30AM on weekdays, and then it goes to cafeteria style to lunch. They also have take-out! I tend to get the bonanza bagel: a cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter, banana slices, honey, and sunflower seeds. It’s so simple, yet so good! I crave it all the time. They have consistently tasty bacon(it was actually the first bacon I had after I quit being a vegetarian, and man I’ve been hooked since that day). I’ve also had their avocado toast, which was pretty darn tasty! And don’t even get me started on their bran muffins!!! I so highly recommend that you get the blueberry one! All of them are delicious, obviously, but I always think blueberry is the best. But be warned, they are so filling! I love afternoon delight, so so much! I always miss it like crazy whenever I’m not in Michigan.

Always a popular stop on Liberty, Afternoon Delight has long been a breakfast & lunch favorite in the heart of the Deuce. Despite a chalkboard of tempting Sunday morning brunch specials, I opted to go with the regular menu’s Mexican Omelette with a toasted raisin bagel w/cream cheese. The omelette came with generous portions of sour cream and salsa on the side to totally immerse my South-of-the-Border b’fast entrée. However…the omelette was clearly over cooked in spite of my special request to prepare it light and soft. At my request, our server John quickly made good on asking the kitchen to re-make my omelette a second time based on their having totally missed the mark. The manager personally brought out the kitchen’s encore to our table with his profuse apology for the oversight. I was really pleased with their excellent response that was clearly focused on my total satisfaction. Once my plate was in front of me, this breakfast was excellent. Their conciliatory response will keep us coming back.

This is one of the best places for breakfast or brunch in Ann Arbor. Tom(owner) is a great presence and the staff is usually on top of things. It’s a smaller place but the line moves fast so don’t be scared by a long line(which is common place). Even on Saturday morning we usually wait less than 15 minutes. As far as food, it’s simply the best. Amazing everything from cornedbeef hash to ridiculously good eggs Benedict. The BLTs are fresh and amazing. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

The food taste great and was plentiful. Our service was great as well. For a restaurant that has a wait line extending outside of the doors, they really moved fast to get people seated. The food did not take long at all to be cooked.

Service was a little slow. That being said, the eggs Benedict was outstanding and the french toast was rich and excellently prepared. Good coffee as well, and not bad prices.

If you visit Afternoon Delight, then you’ve probably heard of their brunch. A+. After multiple visits I can surely recommend you won’t be disappointed by their Eggs Benedict and and omelets. Particularly their weekend special seafood omelet. My protip, always order the muffin. My favorite is the harvest muffin(seasonal). Unfortunately, you may also discover this place isnt really a hidden secret as it can be graced by long lines after 10:45am on weekends, sometimes more than 1hr. They don’t take reservations even if you have a large party.

There’s always line on weekends, probably weekdays? I’m not sure. But it definite worths waiting. All the food are fresh made, interesting and insanely tasty. You’ll portably get the same quality of brunch in Chicago or NYC for a higher price. This is a gem of AA, I hope it will sparkle forever.

Went for Sunday breakfast, which happened to be right after the Big House 5k/10k event. To our surprise, it wasn’t a bad wait at all. Let’s add that to the list of positives — quick seating, even with a short line, the hostess was prompt and found best available seating for the patrons needing to refuel after their run or put their hangover to rest. Nice big restaurant, but as with most breakfast places, seating is crammed wherever there is space. Keep that in mind if you’re a germaphobe/claustrophobe(if sitting elbow to elbow in a coat rack — yes, in the coat rack — isn’t your scene, maybe a loftier space will be more suiting). Menu options aren’t what I’d consider standard breakfast(like no IHOP type plates, but if you wanted that I’m guessing you’d be at the nearest chain restaurant) but the options are novel and seemingly tasty!(Potato cake renditions of egg Benedict — I’m game!) Also, their muffins are huge, as is their best ever cinnamon raisin toast(essentially a French toast). And their staff was quick, guessing they have to be to keep up with the crowd. Overall, this place is decent. If you’re looking for some Chicago modern brunch style place like Orange-Chicago, this really isn’t it. If you want awesome thick cut bacon, this place really isn’t for you either. If you want amazing breakfast redskins, their rendition might suffice. If you want fresh pastries… I can’t direct you. But the staples are here and done well.

Have you ever been to a restaurant where everything on the menu looks so good? Then you end up over ordering? This is one those places. My wife and I went here for brunch on a weekend. There was a short wait, maybe 10 – 15 min. It was well worth it. We ordered the eggs Benedict, fresh blueberry muffin, BLT, over roasted red skin potatoes, and salad bar. Everything was delicious. I would rate this 4 ½ stars if possible. I did not eat the salad, but can recommend all the other items.

The food here is great and the wait staff is very attentive(wait staff only on weekends though). I had the alternative eggs Benedict, was made with potato pancakes, poached salmon and eggs, capers, red onions, and béarnaise sauce. Fresh orange juice is an option, and well worth the extra dollar. The fruit bowl is also good – a variety of fresh fruit, generous amount. I will absolutely be returning.

Visited this little gem on a cool, Friday morning. I’ve been here a couple times, usually weekdays or late in the day, so I never saw the infamous line outside the diner. The interior of the café is simple yet chic, and the neon signs definitely added to the flare. I opted for the veggie omelet with a side of raisin toast to go. The service was surprisingly quick and pleasant. The servers were very friendly and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. For the food, I added krab meat to the omelet, which made the flavors more interesting, but I’d prefer their smoked salmon omelets served over the weekends. However, the raisin toast though. Oh. My. God. Hands down the best I’ve had. It’s almost like a puffed raisin french toast on its own. It’s thick and buttery soft, with swirls of cinnamon dusted throughout, topped with brown sugar sprinkles. I also got a small cup of coffee, which tasted like regular diner coffee you’d get. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, but I couldn’t survive without my cup of morning Joe. In short, definitely get the raisin toast as a side with your orders — you won’t regret it! I’d also recommend the blueberry chocolate pancake and the blueberry bran muffin. Those are some of the best in town.

I usually give too much thought before giving 5 stars to any place but this place had so much of awesomeness so don’t have to think twice. So we got into this place around 9.30 on a snowing day and to our surprise we had a queue and wait of around 10 mins But trust me the wait was worth of the time, as we got into our booth, we were fastly served for our order and everything was wonderful, I ordered Sourdough egg veggie bowl and potato pancake on side with hot choclate and everything came as perfect. Only thing is the parking which is across the street but I believe that is common in AA, in short all 5 stars to the place.

I moved away sixteen years ago, but they still remember me. I ate here often then, and whether it was breakfast, brunch, or lunch, the food, especially the house baked breads and muffins, were always superb. The clam chowder, while not on the same level as what you’d get in Boston still remains the best you can find in Ann Arbor. Today I tried one of the many lunch specials that augment their already impressive menu. An Italian sub sounded great, as recommended by the the wonderful gal who starts the ordering process. Further down the line where you pay the owner, Tom, remembered me and made me feel welcomed. Another fellow who has been there 33-years also greeted me warmly and inquired about my mother’s health. This is only possible at longtime staples of the community. Whereas numerous restaurants and stores have come and gone, Afternoon Delight endures. The Soup: just right, potatoes and clams ratio is balanced, and they use roux(clarified butter and flour) to thicken the soup along with the cream. 4.5÷5 stars for a Midwest version of clam chowder. The salad: I made it from the salad bar so of course it rocked! 5⁄5 stars. The sub: warm and moist. The bread here is FUC’n amazing! My only complaint, albeit a small one, is the sandwich drips so watch out for your clothes when devouring this one. Excellent meats stacked high and melted provolone cheese makes this a wonderful meal. The quality of the meats is evident and overall I rate it 4⁄5. The total with water to drink was $ 14.52. So while not cheap, you get a quality product and a lot of it too. I came hungry and left sated.

My favorite breakfast restaurant in Ann Arbor! I LOOOOOVE the eggs benedict! I promise you that it will be the best eggs benedict you will ever have!!!(It’s a million times better than the eggs benedict from angelos!) I love the muffin with frozen yogurt on top! I’m not a fan of their waffles however.
