Last winter I painstakingly took down all my Christmas lights and put everything in my garage. Then, the little ahole squirrels that have taken over my shack of a garage tore apart all my lights, my lovely glittery gold deer, EVERYTHING. I hate them. So, this year when it came time to take everything down I didn’t trust putting all my replacements in there. I don’t want to be buying something new ever year, after all! I kept everything on our screened in front porch for a few months but once the weather turned I wanted the porch back to, you know, enjoy. So, I decided to get a small storage unit to keep it in until we can come up with a better solution. By the time I started looking for a unit it was early summer and most of the storage facilities were booked up with students storing items for the summer. NSC was the third place I called but they did have one small 5×5 unit available. I snatched it up. The fella who works there and manages the properties was as nice as can be. On the phone he answered all my questions and held the unit for me until I could come down and fill out the paperwork. Then when I went down there he worked on getting me in and out quickly but also gave me a good tour of the facility and where my locker was. They also put a pallet into the locker so my items wouldn’t be resting on the floor. And the first 3 months were ½ off! It isn’t the best solution since it is pricey but it gives us time to reassess the rest of our spaces around the house, clean them up, and make room for this stuff. It gets it out of my hair for a while which I appreciate. The facility is clean, easy to access of Jackson Rd, gated, and my unit is climate controlled. Not bad!
