I took in some pants to get taken in. When I went to pick them up, they added $ 20 extra onto the check for hemming and dry-cleaning, I let them know that I did not ask for hemming and dry-cleaning and they needed to call before adding more on that I did not ask for. Then when I tried on the pants, the seam on the butt was completed sideways. It appeared that they took the pants in from the back and not the sides. I asked them to fix them and they were quite rude about it but I decided to let them try to fix them. When I came back to pick them up, they would not let me try them on at the shop. So when I got home, they had taken the pants out — so now none of the pants fit again. The pants were still wrong. I called and let them know and asked for a refund, they told me no and that they would fix them. I said sorry but you did them wrong twice now, I would just like a refund — and they refused to do it. This total transaction was about $ 200. I would not recommend this place. Really poor service and they were unwilling to fix the problem by offering me money back.

Cut three scars on my two shirts, only notice it when I wear it. The ironing of my pants is totally in wrong position. I really don’t understand why someone give good review for this place.

Overpriced and subpar quality. Do not recommend. Took my shirt that had a small rip on the seam. Said it would be $ 5. Came back three days later to pick up and said it was $ 30!

The dry cleaning quality and service is excellent. Other area dry cleaners damaged my items. Not Kim’s. Kim’s is the best dry cleaner in the area. Also, the tailoring is outstanding. I’ve had suits tailored here and the quality and timeliness of the work was terrific. Price is always reasonable. The owners are lovely. I highly recommend.

I bought a coat last winter only discover it didn’t have pockets. Of course, it’s taken me a full year to finally decide to get pockets sewn into the coat. And really, I only pursued it because I spilled Greek dressing on the darn thing. Best dinner accident that ever happened to me! I took the coat in to Kim’s for both services, and wasn’t disappointed. I would have given five stars if turn around could have been slightly faster; the lady quoted me a week originally and I heckled her down to 4 days. Although initially the service seemed expensive at $ 16.95(cleaning) + $ 40(two pockets), when she f ound out I worked nearby, she offered me $ 10 back in discount. I declined, bit appreciated the gesture.

Took my dress pants in so they could repair a hem that was undone from them dry cleaning my pants a week prior. When I picked up the pants they tried charging me for dry cleaning and fixing the hem on my pair of pants. I never asked for dry cleaning all I asked for was for them to fix a hem that was undone by them. A mistake they committed I had to pay for. On top of that the hem they fixed looks like a child did the work. I will never use this company again poor customer service and poor quality of work. Do yourself a favor and find another dry cleaner and tailor in the Ann Arbor area.

I love Kim’s. This is a family owned place in the back of the Courtyard Shops on Plymouth Road. Kim and/or her husband are always there, as well as a number of other people who are either other family members or close friends. My family has done all of our tailoring here for as long as I can remember and they have never messed up. Occasionally, they seem harsh, but it’s just their mannerisms, they are the sweetest people. To the left of the counter is a bulletin board of people wearing clothes that they have tailored. Teens in prom dresses(I’m on there), babys in portraits, couples on dates, anything and everything. They are lovely people who are very friendly and get the job done right. What more could you ask for in a tailor?
