Happy Nails

I am at the happy nail spa right now. The person doing my nails could not be more uninterested or distracted as she is. She keeps looking outside. Then I don’t understand the purpose of applying the lotion if you will not be rubbing it in. Warm stones — for what!!! Running on hands lightly up and down my legs is not relaxing or in anyway helpful. The scrub is intended to SCRUB — it is not meant to applied, spread and washed. Another disappointing nail salon experience in Ann Arbor. I don’t think I am coming back to this place again.

Everyone here is friendly and I’ve never had to wait long for my service (even when it’s something inexpensive like a polish change). It’s also very clean. None of the towels have stains, everything was either brand new out of a plastic bag or appeared to be kept very clean, and they even put a plastic wrap/​bag thing in the foot soaker before pedicures. The salon seems to be very clean too. They have good polish color choices. This will be the only place I go from now on!

The customer service here puts all other local nail salons to shame. Happy nails is fantastic! The owners are super nice and all of the technicians do a great job. The salon is kind of small but they say they will be expanding in the summer months which is fantastic I am so happy for them! Best nail salon in the Ann Arbor area.

The people here were friendly and my nails looked nice when I left, which is why I’m giving two stars. But only 5 days later the acrylic on my full set it lifting like crazy on every single nail (see photo). Now I’m going to have to go to another place less than a week later and get it fixed, otherwise water will get underneath the nail and cause fungus. Awesome.

I was introduced to Happy Nails by a friend of mine around 3 months ago, and have been going back ever since. The salon is clean, the ambiance is peaceful, and the men and women who work there have always done an amazing job on my nails. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes to have my nails done (they are great with walk-​ins) and i always walk out feeling great. I usually get a shellac manicure, and they are both the quickest and precise salon I’ve been to in Ann Arbor. The only complaint i would have is that the last time i went in with a friend, we were seated several seats away from each other even though there was a seat open right next to me. That was a small price to pay to have such beautiful nails though, and i will definitely continue to be a regular there.

How does this place only have a three star rating? Are you people crazy? This is BY FAR the best nail salon in the area.
The owners are wonderful. They always make time for you, unlike other places.

Went out for a girls day with two of my girl friends. We originally went to CK Nails, but found that they were closed from the first to the fourth or sixth of this month (?!). Panicked, we called Happy Nails and asked if we needed an appointment for all 3 of us to get our shellac manis and pedis done together and they said to just come right in.
30 minutes later, we walked in and were helped right away. We were able to have our pedicures done right next to each other and the women and man doing our nails were extremely friendly and did an amazing job. They were very understanding of two of us who were first timers and very ticklish on the bottoms of our feet.
Our nails turned out perfectly and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. They’re flawless!
This is an outstanding place to get your nails done. Best nail salon experience I’ve ever had.
If you go, ask for Simon or Vi. They are husband and wife, and are an amazing, talented, friendly duo. Loved them!!!

LOVE happy nails! Very clean, rarely ever have to wait. The staff is very friendly and always accommodates! My favorite place for acrylic and shellac in Ann Arbor!

I won’t ever be returning here. This was my second time here and I thought there would be better service from the first time. The first time I went my friend and I got pedicures. We were both seated right away and someone was helping me, but for my friend, they had her wait 20 minutes until finally someone came out of the back to do her nails. I would completely understand if there was a full house of people waiting to be serviced but there was only 2 – 3 others in the salon so there was no reason for her to wait that long. Then again today, my friend and I went for gel manicures. The time to wait was quick and we were both seated and getting our nails started. But the man doing my nails was very rude and was rough, pushing my hands and arms around. He threw off my watch to rub lotion on my arm for two seconds at the end. People like this make the manicure not enjoyable whatsoever. I pay good money for this so I should be treated with respect and not like an inconvenience to his day.

Came in to get a polish change as it wasn’t due for a pedicure, waited for over 20 minutes while others went a head of me because they were getting a more expensive service, when I asked who would be doing mine they said they didn’t know. I walked out and went to Diva nails and was serviced properly in a timely matter regardless of the type of service requested.

Long Lasting Pedicure. Great Price. Nice Kind People.
No Pressure. My Go to place. Tips are cash only… how it should be done.
