Really quiet place, lots of people studying or working on laptops. It’s a little hard to find but a very cool place when you get there. My coffee was huge, and my friends really liked their tea.

This is one of my go-to spots. One of the big advantages is the free parking near campus. Almost any other place you are going to pay for parking. Be careful. Their coffee is chocked full of caffeine. I have to limit myself when I’m there or else I get jittery. I really like their teas. One option is to get a pot and share it with a friend.

This place is good. Spacious cheap good coffee. But I took two stars because they are too slow. Whenever I go there in a group of more than 5 people, it took forever to get served. They need to find a way to expedite the process.

Common Cup is a great unassuming coffee shop located in the basement of a church. Their prices are good and it’s quiet and quaint. It nice for quiet meeting or if you just want to caffeinatd while you’re trying to study for your latest exam. If you’re in Ann Arbor, there’s really no need to hit a Starbucks or any other big name coffee spot that’s full of frazzled college students and hipster wannabes. Just stop at the Common Cup, relax, and have a nice cup of coffee.

This place is a hidden, away from the general population. If you drive down Washtenaw between S. University and Hill St., you’ll see a small bi-fold sign by the side walk… in addition, a banner on the building. Parking is free, so this place has huge advantage over others that’s located on the campus. The Coffee Shop is part of the Lutheran church building, run by the church. When you walk through the doors, the steps leads you down to the common area, to your left is the seating area and to your right is the counter where you order your items… As for food, they only have few pre-packaged items, etc., don’t go here expecting to eat lunch and work… if you want snacks and coffee and free wifi, yeah, then head over here. Another factor, it’s not busy or noisy like other coffee joints. As for the coffee itself, I think the brew of the day was sitting out too long, as it didn’t taste fresh. There was only one person working behind the counter on this day I went. Overall, its a nice place to get some work done. If you want some quiet place to study, check this place out.

My new favorite coffee joint in A2. I’ve been looking for a place to study, and so far nowhere in Ann Arbor has been able to meet all five of my absolutely vital criteria: 1) Lots of space so you don’t have to wait for a table. 2) Free WiFi. 3) Plenty of plugs for electronics. 4) Decent coffee. 5) Within biking distance of my apartment. Common Cup hits all of these marks with flying colors. I find it so surprising that in a place like A2, you would have to struggle to find a really good study café. And yet, it is not so easy. Look no farther, Ann Arborites! Common Cup has everything you are looking for.
