Great selection, but really disappointing customer service. The young saleswoman behind the counter was very arrogant, border-line rude, even after spending a lot of money on my purchase for which – you’d think – they would be thankful. The prices here are marked up incredibly – your purchase will be expensive, so watch out! Don’t expect a «thank you,» «hello,» or even a courteous smile from the employees; and I’ve gave this store 3 chances to redeem itself. I strongly recommend the owners to learn to appreciate their customers more if they’d ever think to do business with U of M students and faculty again.

Gifts. Cards. Handmade duds. Jewelry. Caravan is rockin’ all kinds of things. It’s easy to spend time browsing all of the items housed in here. Hell, we spent at least 20 minutes checking out the items in the glass case — that included a really cool globe that spun because of the earth’s magnetic force. Everything seemed like it was handpicked and there were tons of unique items I doubt you’d be able to easily find elsewhere. If I were looking for a gift for someone who has everything, I’d make Caravan my first stop.

I will never go back to that Store! I wish I could give them zero for what they barely know as «customer service»! Shopping there is a ripp off! I knew that their stuffs are expensive but did not realize«how much» till I purchased an item for $ 190 and found the same thing on Amazon for $ 95! UNBELIEVABLE! it was double! I went to the shop and talked to the sale’s person and she rudely told me «you can never get your money back»!!! I’m sure with such prices and that disgusting attitude, their business is not gonna work!

It’s hard to know how to classify The Caravan Shop except to call it a «gift shop.» However, for me, that always calls to mind cheesy Hallmark cards and knick-knacks, and this store is far cooler than that. It’s one of several small local retailers located in the nifty walking mall called Nickels Arcade, off S. State Street. They have a variety of items that would make nice gifts, ranging from hand-sewn handbags, kitchenware and old school wooden toys. The staff were nice. They said hello and goodbye with a smile but didn’t hover. I always appreciate that.

Fun giftware. Some items that aren’t available elsewhere.
