What I adore so much about Biggby coffee is that they’re unapologetically low rent. It’s so hard to put my finger on *exactly* what characterizes all Biggby coffees, but particularly this one, as such a delightfully dumpy place to grab a cup of joe but let me assure you… There’s something. Is it the the plastic stand of King-sized twix at the front? The Red bull? The neck tattooed clientele that remain a fixture at literally every Biggby? I’m honestly not sure. What I do know is that I’m free to be me and with so few places in the world that I can do that, I need to fall in love with the places that I can. And I have, hard. With Biggby coffee. Something else I love so much about is the music selection at Biggby. It’s not everyday that I can listen to Adriana Grande(latte) at a coffee shop but I know that every single time I go to any Biggby I can do that and usually multiple times within the short proximity in which I am there. I can always do this, alone, in the parking lot of CVS, but that’s weird and I’ve never done that. Oh and the coffee. If you know me, I am someone who likes to be in charge. Some people say that have control issues but that has a negative connotation so I try and avoid that. What is so great about le big is the fact that I can serve myself, on my own terms. my coffee, my way. Love that. Never mind that I feel sick to my stomach whenever I drink this stuff but the fact that I can serve it myself? A+. THNX. Honestly can’t speak to any of their other freaky drinks as they TBH sound disgusting Also, the parking lot here is great. Esp. If you’re like me and don’t know how to park and love having a selection of literally four subcompact spaces to choose from. Oh, and there’s a TCBY next door… If that’s your thang. TBH Biggby is a great place to go if u like wearing sweatpants and want to make sure you run into absolutely nobody u know.

I thought this place was going to be horrible but I fell in love. The staff was so amazing and helpful. I came here to meet with my study group and they were all late. So I had some time to kill and I was being super indecisive about what I wanted to order, so the staff helped me out. I got this Chinese tea thing and I got it frozen. I loved it! I came back and tried their frozen apple cider and it was horrible. It was so sweet I couldn’t even drink, won’t be ordering that again. My friend got the hot one, that was pretty bad too! But, the other time is great, so I will be back! :)

Not bad, just all my breakfast was super oily. The waitress forgot to bring me the milk for my tea. The French Tia’s was soaked in oil too.

This is my favorite Biggby! I always get wonderful service from all of the staff. Hannah is always great to find a drink I like, and Brandon is super friendly! I think Bill manages a great place. I often see him working behind the counter and he always has a smile on his face. Keep up the great customer service, I’ll be back!

I drink Starbucks more often than Biggby so I was a little inexperienced in ordering here. The barista was very helpful and assisted me in finding a suitable drink for my sweets-driven palate. These drinks tend to be naturally sweeter than those at SB and right up my alley.

Bigby is probably the least«coffeehousey» of the chain coffeeshops. The atmosphere(at least at the ones I’ve been to) is more that of a perky, no-frills cafeteria. Colorful but mostly unadorned walls, open, lots of room between tables. The most cheerful baristas in the business, and few customers who look like they tumbled from the pages of Lula or Details. Though the coffee is decent(and while I’m not usually a flavored coffee drinker, Bigby’s annual fall release of the pumpkin pie flavor is practically a major life event for me), the real reason I go to to the Washtenaw Bigby is because I never have a problem finding a seat. I’m sure the management would prefer to have the place packed from open to close, but when I arrive on the occasional weekday afternoon, I rarely see more than ten fellow customers. There are plenty of outlets, very little noise, and I can plug in my laptop and work(or Unilocal) as long as I care to. That said, the last three times I was there internet access was either spotty or nonexistent, and I’m a little wary of going back. But, the location and the congenial quiet of the place will eventually have me there again.

I really enjoy Biggby coffee, it’s not a true coffeehouse, but the coffee is good and I normally associate Biggby with fast service. The parking lot is tight and is shared by a few popular businesses, so parking is at a premium. Walking in to this Biggby, it was dark and empty. The place had a few customers and one employee at the front. She greeted me and said she would be a minute. About 15 minutes later she took my order, even though I was the only one at the register. She made some other customer drinks and food prior to mine, but was at a slow pace. Finally it was my turn to order… I ordered my two drinks and then sat down because I knew it would take a few minutes. After she made another customers sandwich, she started on my drinks. I ordered a latte that I order all the time at my local Biggbys, but she said it wasn’t in her menu and needed some help with the ingredients. That threw me off a bit, but I can understand with all the drinks they make. She made both drinks in about 5 minutes. So, 25 minutes after arriving, I was walking out the door. Seems a little ridiculous for 2 lattes from a dedicated coffee place. The coffee tasted ok, not the best I have had though. We tried this place on two occasions recently and unfortunately this may be the last due to the extremely slow service.

I’ve been to a good Bigby, but this one never fails to disappoint me. It’s the service that makes or breaks a place for me. I’ve been here 3 times in the last week and it feels like I’m walking into a McDonald’s. I feel rushed when I come in there, when all I really want from a coffee shop is a warm welcome. Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill to me at the Washtenaw Bigby. Hopefully next time I come in it is a little better!

I absolutely love Biggby Coffee. Every location I go to is friendly and fast, and I’ve never gotten a drink I didn’t like. I wish more places were like Biggby, they could write the book on treating customers well and doing a great job.

This is my coffe house of choice. Yes… it’s a chain. I happen to live in one city and work in another, with that in mind, there is an advantage for find something you like where you can have a consistant experience across multiple locations. I love that the coffee is not as bitter as *bucks who I think over-roasts their beans. I am also a fan given that this is a Michigan based company. Now I don’t make fan decissions just because a company is based in Michigan, but it certainly doesn’t hurt. Parking at this particular location can be a little problematic from time to time. There is a lot, but it is small and shared with other establishments.

It feels like a chain-owned coffee house when you walk in the door, because everything is logo-embossed, branded, and pre-packaged. All the cost and none of the vibe of Amer’s or Espresso Royale. Coffee is for sale by the pound, or in a cup, including organic blends. Pricy pre-made sandwiches, salads and deserts can be had. It will shorten the trip for a lot of people who would have walked all the way to Starbucks.
