Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Charge $ 50 fees for everything they can think of, such as lock out, late fee, or subletting. Apparently there was a Listserv sending out reminders and important information that i was never added too. When I complained about not being notified of late fees until the end of my 2 year lease, they responded that I was sent reminder emails about the rent at least 3x per month. However, I am positive that I never received any of these emails during my 2 year lease. They also told me that parking was likely to open up during my stay, but it did not.

I have had a Hellish experience with them from the start, just as reflected in the other reviews posted here.
The housing/​furnishing/​appliances were fine, the maintenance people were good but the people in the office were unbearable.
My roommate, whom I did not know too well when I entered the lease, was not paying her rent and because she was not responding to their emails they bombarded me with border-​line threatening e-​mails about how this was my responsibility (even though I payed for half the rent already).
It was obvious that I was trying my best to deal with the shitty situation I found myself in, but they did not care at all. They wanted their money regardless of who it came from and they were ready to berate and harass me relentlessly until they got it.
In conclusion, I would not recommend renting with them to anyone under any circumstances.

Decent housing, with new furnishings and appliances, though they’re cheap and break often. To be fair, they send maintenance people over quickly when the fridge breaks, the handles come off of the shower door, the molding comes off of the edge of the living room, etc (though they often do slipshod repairs that fall apart very quickly).
The people in the office are a nightmare, though. Ann Arbor landlords aren’t exactly known for their benevolence, but my friends have had their cars towed from parking spaces they rented out (under pretty draconian parking conditions — they’ll come and threaten to tow you in you park a second car or let a friend park in the spot), we were extremely ripped off of our security deposits, and they charge $ 50 to replace a lost key that costs them $ 1 at the hardware store.
Their rents are exorbitant.
They’re chislers, but you won’t live in a slum.
