Great sandwich shop with a lot of customization in choosing your preferred combo. As many others have stated, the ordering process is a bit different, confusing, and even awkward at first. Try the touch screen drive through system instead and it walks you through the steps. It does take a bit longer to receive your food than your average sandwich shop, but still something doable during a lunch break. They are indeed«superior sandwiches» compared to the competition, so be prepared to pay a little extra for them. That said, you can still get a very filling meal for under $ 10. I will definitely return often!

Which wich do you want? This place is confusing at first with the spinning towers of bags and large menu. You mark on your bag which sandwich you would like and all of the toppings you want. And turn it in to the cashier. Each category like Italian, seafood, and turkey corresponds to a bag number. So it narrows your options to manageable when you select your toppings. The pesto an amazing addition to my club as well as the hummus. My husband got the blt with the buffalo sauce. I usually am not a fan but this wasn’t too hot! It was wonderful! They have plenty of toppings and sauces. The red velvet shake is phenomenal It takes a little while to get your food, but it is so worth it. Service was amazing!!! The staff was so friendly and helpful! The store was super clean!!! And had plenty of seating! This is an awesome store with amazing sandwiches! I would highly recommend Which Wich to anyone!!!

This is a very unique type of sandwich shop, I love their concept! You walk in and grab a paperbag which not only holds your completed sandwich, but is also how you order your sandwich. There are TONS of different options you can do for your sandwich, maybe look up the options at home before coming so you aren’t standing in the store for 5 minutes awing over the menu. The staff members are all very friendly and able to help out if you have questions about the options available. We went during a peak time so the wait for the sandwiches was noticeable. They are not meant to be a speedy sandwich shop, they go for the quality. Which they absolutely achieve, their sandwiches are tasty, and a little pricey. If you want to try out a good sandwich with lots of flavor, considering coming here and giving them a shot!

How much wich would a which witch chuck if a witch could chuck wich? The answer is that it would take a while the first time for the witch to learn how to order a wich at Which Wich before the witch could chuck a wich. The ordering process takes time if you are a first timer at this chain like I was. Once you figure it out, it is easy but I personally do not like the ordering process. When comparing between how you would order at a Potbelly’s, Quiznos, Subway, D’Angelo’s Grilled Sandwich, or Which Wich’s, I find that Which Wich is my least favorite. As far as the sandwiches, I like the selection and customization options. I ordered a Thank You Turkey, a turkey dinner in sandwich form. This LTO item was spot on tasty and satisfying. Not as good as the D’Angelo’s version but still much better than the leftover version I make each year. I was a little disappointed with the speed of service after I ordered. Even with 6 people working behind the counter and only 5 sandwich bags in front of mine, it still took almost 10 minutes to get my sandwich. A little slower than I would expect with so many working.

Went there for a quick bite. It took a while to figure out what to do. It’s actually a little confusing. It’s not like that’s all you need to do. They have to confirm it with you. We waited for at least 10 minutes for 1 sandwich. It wasn’t even busy. We ordered the Cuban. They put way too much mustard on it. That was all I tasted: MUSTARD. I’ve had some great Cuban sandwiches from all over Florida. I didn’t expect much out of a chain restaurant, but i was left with all but disappointment. I don’t know if I should give them another try. I will wait and see.

A great sandwich place where the options are vast. Checked out the place on Saturday evening and was quite satisfied with their offerings. Walked in and greeted by the helpful employees who guided us through the order process. As a first timer, it can be overwhelming because there are an immense number of options. The menu board is hung quite high from the ceiling so I would recommend standing back to take it all in. Once you select what type of sandwich you would like(chicken, pork, beef, Italian, classic, vegetarian, etc) you pick your bag and start to customize your sandwich. The options for customization include a nice list of cheese, sauces, spices, and vegetables. They also have the option for white or wheat as well as making it wrapped in lettuce or served in a bowl. Moor the sandwiches, there are 3 sizes: 7.5, 10, and 14. I would say they are accurate lengths and 7.5 hit the spot. You can also add a beverage and chips. Beverages are Coke products. The chips had a great assortment as well. To check out, you hand over your bag and they get to work. It took about 5 minutes or less for my hot Cuban to be made. The flavor was great and the ingredient had a fresh flavor. The toasted sandwiches are wrapped in paper and then in foil which makes it ideal for ordering and I taking elsewhere. I would have to say the only thing I found strange was no napkins; instead, a role of generic paper towels. All in all, great choices and great flavors. I would recommend to anyone who loves to be in control of their sandwich ingredients. If you see indecisive, I would order online and come in to pick up. We will definitely be back to make some more customized delicious sandwiches.

Good sandwiches. Grab a sharpie, and start checking ingredient boxes on your brown bag, and just hand it over to the cashier… interesting concept. It took me a while to finish my order, I think it’s because we have to go through a menu of items on paper. This place gets busy during lunch and after school hours.

I am a HUGE fan of Which wich! I love that they let you mark up your sandwich bag with everything that you want. You can truly customize to your hearts content! I have been to this chain before, haven’t been in about a year and am so happy that one finally opened up in Ankeny, So after eating here I have to say… why would anyone go to Jimmy Johns after eating here? Seriously? You can get your sammies hot or cold, you can get vegan options, you can get caramelized onions, you can get gyro meat on and on and on. The two draw backs? For a sandwich shop they are a bit slow… they are far from freaky fast, so if you need to make it a quick lunch, order online and pick it up. Second draw back… ug, only Coke products which I hate… Sandwiches though? Huge, delicious and well worth the price. Take a look at my sammie(they did go a little heavy on the tzatziki). That masterpiece is a medium. I couldn’t finish it! I dare anyone that doesn’t have artificially induced munchies to eat a whole large! Go here when you are hungry, leave full and happy. Forget the subway or jimmy johns. this is the spot, trust me.

I went in on a Friday during the lunch hour. It took me 25 minutes from the time I submitted my order to the cashier to the time I received my sandwich. The ordering protocol is confusing for those not accustomed to the process — you have to pick up a sandwich bag corresponding to the type of meats you want, and then you use a sharpie marker to indicate the extras and condiments you want as well.(E.g., — Roast Beef sandwich with provolone, lettuce, black olives, etc.). A nice gentleman who came in directly behind me was likewise confused and asked the cashier if he could just simply give his order to her. Instead of accommodating his request, she directed him to the bags and told him he had to use the marker and bag system described above. After my order was submitted, I waited… and waited… and waited. And the line was fully staffed with workers. 25 minutes later, I finally received my 8 inch roast beef sandwich. Now for the key inquiry: Was the quality and tastiness of the sandwich worth a 25 minute wait? My answer: No, not at all! The sandwich was decent, but not so outstanding that I am willing to wait nearly a half hour for it.

Which Wich is a CHAIN and will take some time to train its customers(but its worth it). This fast casual sandwich shop came highly recommended from my girlfriend who dined at the Iowa City Which Wich often.(This is only Iowa’s third location.) I defer to Roger C.‘s excellently written review that explains the ordering process. The cashier reviews your bag order so they don’t have to holler out your name to clarify something. I like the newspapers hanging on the wall to grab and read while you wait the five to ten minutes for your«wich» to be made. Coke products. Bags of chips below the cash register. I ORDERED: a 10.5″ medium Surf & Turf®(imitation Crab Salad + Roast Beef) with tomatoes and spinach on white bread. TASTED: Fresh! The crab salad paired well with the roast beef. Bread was fresh and didn’t make up 75% of the sandwich like other lame sandwich chains. FRESH ripe little red tomatoes instead of the tree bark core tasteless varieties at other places. I WASIMPRESSED. I wouldn’t drive out of my way(I live in Beaverdale) to visit this location but if I was in Ankeny for say Firetrucker beer(WHICH I was) I’ll visit again. Please someone with liquid assets of $ 150,000, net worth of $ 500,000 and has an initial investment of $ 177,000 to $ 476,250(per Which Wich franchisee info on website) PLEASE open a location in Des Moines. There’s a DRIVETHRU but it wasn’t open yet. I’m guessing the well staffed crew couldn’t keep up if it were open. Which Wich currently has 343 locations open in 37 states across the U.S.

I wanted to try Which Wich so I came on my lunch break today. Usually I have a 28 minute lunch but today I had an hour. Good thing, because it took me an hour to step into line, order, get my food, and drive back to work. Unfortunately, when I arrived back in my office I bit into my sandwich only to realize they had put cheese on it when I had specifically asked for no cheese. Several times. I even added it on the bag where you indicate your order. I was disappointed because my lunch was over and I had no food to eat. I found a bag of chips and a granola bar to tide me over until dinner so I fixed that issue. I tried calling them to explain my situation but after an hour of sporadic calls, no one answered. I finally got the manager around 2:30 and she was extremely kind. She refunded my money and gave me a free meal the next time I come in. I’ll hopefully update my review the next time I venture to Which Wich but if the wait is an hour every time I visit it might be a while since I only have 28 minutes for lunch during the week. I came back to Which Wich today for lunch and had an excellent experience. The manager remembered me and we joked about memories past, cheese and sandwiches, and much more. She even called me later in the day to make sure my experience was a good one. Oh, and the food was awesome!!! I’ll definitely be back because the manager cared that much to show me that they’re better than my first visit. Thank you!
