Angola’s best kept secret. Service could be better but the food makes up for it. All the sauces and dressings are homemade. Everything that we have had there has been delicious!

I have been here multiple times with friends and family. The food has always been excellent; the whisky selection is plentiful, even as a Scotch drinker. Food prices are reasonable, the portions are good. Scotch prices are in range, perhaps even a tad lower than some locations. It has a nice upscale look to it, the wait staff friendly.

Food was good. Bleu burger and house salad with house made garlic vinagrette. Great drink selection. Service was slow but we were in no hurry. They seemed a bit undermanned for the crowd that was there. It is probably hard to estimate appropriate staffing levels in the lakes area during this time of year. November should be slow but i guess there can be busy times.

After the restaurant we had intended to go to was closed for renovations we found this place… My hopes were very high as the atmosphere seemed hip and appealing(modern rustic touches here and there…)…and the food delivered with a delicious bang! I wish the review stopped here… but unfortunately there was a downside. At every stage of the dining experience there was an exceedingly long wait. We waited to place the orders, waited way way too long to get our food and unbelievably long to get our bill… We stopped here for a late lunch before going tobogganing at Pokagon and the jokes were definitely flying as to how we hoped the toboggan run wouldn’t be closed before we finally got out of there(and Pokagon closed the toboggan run at 9pm…) Making matters worse, it’s not like they were really busy… there was 1 other group when we arrived and only a 4 top that arrived during our meal. All said and done it took like 3 hours for us to get out of there! But in all fairness, the food was delicious… but the wait was brutal…

For locals: Try it on a Thursday night: guitar jam in the bar. Not too loud in the dining room and nice music. Service remains pleasant. Menu is fun if meat-centric and according to my mom they have fantastic onion rings.

Hidden gem. Been driving by for years. Assumed it was the usual average breakfast, lunch, dinner place tied to hotel. Some friends took us here and wow ! Couldn’t be more wrong. Great dinner menu with lots of options. Delicious food and they have a pastry chef doing some amazing deserts. Massive whiskey/bourbon selection as well. We’ll be back!

We came late after some snow, so maybe not a great team of people there that night. The food was lack luster and steak was okay, but not great cut. We have good service. The tables seem tired and the place did not look very nice. I assume most of the high reviews are for the bar. The looked nice, so if you want drinks try it out. The food was not that good.

I only wish this was closer to any of my travel paths. The bar is truly a gem in the rough. One of the best selections I have ever seen. Hands down one of the best Bourbon list I have ever heard of. 200+ bourbons and 450+ if your count other whiskeys I was stunned. While I cannot speak to the bar service I have to suspect with that inventory they take it seriously Indeed. We stopped on business travel and could only sample the food sadly. As with any venue there was good and bad. Overall I would give the food a 4⁄5. Service was timely and professional. I had the daily special which was a beef Manhattan and chicken nachos. Nachos were nothing special good flavors but very mainstream bar food. Likewise with the beef. It basically is an open faced roast beef. Bread was good potatoes were great gravy and meet were average. The accompanying salad was served with a house cilantro lime vinaigrette. WOW! That dressing was hands down impressive. My associate had the ribeye with the pepper jack Mac and cheese. Meat was properly prepared however wasn’t fancied up or of impressive quality on its own. Cut was thin for a great steak but obviously larger the billed weight. Quite acceptable but not impressive or bold in any manner. The pepper jack Mac and cheese was as amazing as the steak was acceptable. It had true flavor absolutely no gritty lets add flour taste so many do. Cheese sauce was rich and dense with just the right amount of bacon to widen the flavor and a bit of texture difference. Price points overall were fair to economical but honestly high for the steak quality. Menu was varied with many features I would love to explore. In closing I hope to visit this establishment again.

Delicious food and great drinks. The ranch dressing is to die for. Definitely home made dressing. Great drink options from cocktails, extensive bourbon selections, and great craft beer/cider options. Our table had the bar frites(bacon cheese fries), turkey club, avocado club, cod basket and knickerburger. All fantastic. Best restaurant in the area. Always a stop for us on our way to Michigan or the Fremont outlets.

Nestled into the corner of our great state of Indiana is 6 Autumns, probably one of the best restaurants in the area. It seems to attract a lot of travelers as it is at the exit right before the toll road(which will take you to Ohio in a few minutes) or to Chicago several hours the other direction lol. We stayed at the attached hotel which was sufficient(minus the meth lab room that was cordoned off, seriously), the food at 6 Autumns was amazing! A dessert menu to die for which changes at least every other day.

So there we were, on vacation and due to a light summer crisping, wanting to get out of the sun for some rather late lunch. However, I did not take into account the goofy anti-booze/commerce Sunday regulations of IN. We’d wanted to try the Hatchery.(Closed), and it seemed like every other restaurant was also closed. So I skimmed thru Unilocal and came across 6 Autumns. They were open! So, onto the food. I tried the summer special sangria. It was good, but unusual in that it was white wine-based. Good value for the money. I went with the black bean crusted snapper. The fish was very good, but the bean crust needs a bit of fine tuning.(It was a tad gritty.) But, I was very pleased to see a place using a non-bread-crusting option. The tomatillo salsa was lovely. I LOVED that I could get grilled veggies instead of the usual potatoes or rice as a side dish.(You can get those too.) However, the cilantro lime vinaigrette for the salad could use more lime. My hubby went with the build-a-burger. And when I tried a bite, it was so amazing, for the first time in my life, I wished I’d ordered a burger! The onion rings were fried up in an extremely tasty batter. Also, the brownie w ice cream was perfect! Hubby is a connoisseur, and he thoroughly approved. Our waitress, Bekah, was very good at making sure we had refills topped up, and made sure we got our Unilocal dessert coupon honored. We had a great dinner, and I highly recommend it. An especially good choice for folks staying at Pokegon State Park, as it is a mile or so away.

Food was excellent. The cod basket was breaded just right and Jonathan’s chicken was yummy! Our waitress wasn’t sure about the cocktail I ordered and the manager came over and knew exactly what I was talking about! A band was playing in the bar and just added to the fun. We will be back for sure!

I found this restaurant on Unilocal. There are a lot of great comments about it & it was close to the outlet mall & we wanted to go somewhere new & different besides the small town bars we have in our town. The food was great! I requested a bun to put my cod onto to make into a sandwich & they gave it to me at no extra charge. The mac n cheese is so yummy. I highly recommend it! The amount of food is great for the price. My sister got the shrimp basket and she said it was very yummy. She also enjoyed the Lazy 6 drink. Clearly she liked it because she got two! We loved the view of the water & the atmosphere. Overall good vibes. :) We will return!

Two colleagues and I travelled to Angola on business from ATL last week. Discovered 6 Autumns via a recommendation from a local co-worker. To say I was shocked by the drink selection(BOURBON!), the food, and the staff is a gross understatement — everything was top-notch and totally unexpected in Angola. The bourbon selection is as good as any I’ve encountered anywhere. I live in ATL and travel a lot, and I do like bourbon. The food was extraordinarily good. Our choices included brisket, fish, pork, and chicken — all were excellent. The sides were awfully good and creative. The décor belies the location. 6 Autumns is connected to what is now a Ramada Inn that’s obviously seen better days, but 6A is comfortable with a rustic wood high-end lodge vibe. There’s a nice deck overlooking a lake and the interstate that’s actually a lot nicer than it sounds. Prices were more than reasonable for what you get. Of course, you’ll pay for the top-end bourbons /whiskies but for this selection and quality it’s more than worth it. I have a go-to spot in most places I travel This is my new one. Can’t imagine ever coming back to Angola and not hitting this place at least twice.

I’ve been here twice. First time we got food and I got the pulled pork sandwich. It was good. Second time we went here was with a group of 10. We got a big table right in the bar. We were able to get $ 5 pitchers of Double Trouble. If you know anything about craft beer you know that’s some pretty potent stuff. Very good deal. I’d definitely go back.

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight for dinner and drinks and was very happy with everything I had! They do not serve anything frozen and they have a number of homemade items and I was told the pork and chicken is locally sourced. We started off with the pork nachos which were delicious! BBQ sauce and pulled pork, can’t go wrong! My entrée came with a side salad(score!) and it has amazing cilantro vinaigrette dressing. I had the sausage and pepper pasta which was very tasty. I rounded the meal out with a crème brûlée. I am very full to say the least. I also tried a number of cocktails, my favorites were cablegram and cucumber basil gimlet. I tasted the Bloody Marty which is made with pepper infused vodka! The waiters were all very nice and attentive. Tony the bartender recommended the drinks to try.
