We were generally satisfied with the service, until the time came to discuss payment. We have extensive insurance — 2 expensive PPO plans — and generally receive cheerful, thorough service by medical professionals who are only to happy to provide services to people with so much insurance. Schwartz was abrupt and impatient and didn’t want to bill our insurance and wanted his money immediately, with the reason that he believed the claims would not be covered. If nothing else, the insurance carrier reviews all claims, adjusts the bill downward per their agreement with the service provider, and they communicate to me the portion if any owing. After obvious reluctance, he did bill our insurance, was paid in about 30 days by insurance and another 10 days to receive the small balance from me. His poor bedside manner is very unpleasant and confusing. Since then, I’ve had more interactions with Dr. Schwartz where I’ve found that he can’t abide anyone disagreeing with him. He very quickly becomes arrogant, controlling and childish in his communication style. I thought he would at least make an effort to be polite and professional, knowing that we are clients. But that wasn’t the case.
