La Hacienda Restaurant

We were a party of 7 and it was after 1pm on a Saturday. We had to wait 2 hours after we ordered to get our food. All the food was bland, mine was extremely hot and WAY too salty.
Never going back and never recommending.

Took my whole family for dinner and everyone’s dish came out perfect. The staff was extremely sweet and paid great attention to us. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal in angels camp.

Food was really really good but the service was lacking. The place is understaffed. Good if you don’t mind waiting and reminding the waitresses what you ordered.

Food was pretty good, but Mayra was extremely slow, forgetful, took 15 minutes to get utensils and drinks. She brought 2 of the 4 then she couldn’t remember what 2 of them were and had to wait another 5 for those. Our food was brought out the same way as the drinks, 10 min in between. Don’t waste your time!!!

My family and I came here for a late lunch on our way through town on a road trip. We were greeted warmly and the atmosphere felt relaxed. The restaurant was clean. There was only one other couple but quite a few tables filled up as we ate. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken burrito. I had the chicken taco while the kids had the quesadilla and chicken taco kids meals. The food came out quickly and everything was hot and fresh. We enjoyed our visit and won’t hesitate to come through again next time we’re in town. Fast and friendly service.

Ok, I tired this place again after not having been back for awhile because of the service. Well, I’m done with this restaurant now forever. If they don’t know how to treat their paying customers, then they THEY DON’T DESERVE ANY!!!

I love this restaurant! Child-​friendly and comfortable dining atmosphere. I prefer the ground beef tacos as they are one of the best tasting tacos in the state! Salsa is mild but flavorful.

Not at all impressed, this was not mexican food. We got full more on chips and watered down salsa than we did on the tasteless meals we ordered. I don’t think anyone really enjoyed their food, we might have all eaten just out of pity. There was no life to the joint; it was all very old and the service was mediocre at best. Not worth your time, make the trip down to Sutter Creek for some better mexican food.

Wow. I wish we had listened to the guy checking us in at the hotel… While he did say that there was La Hacienda, he goes out of town when he wants a good Mexican meal but we just thought that it was for the margaritas. We were kind of craving the Mex spices so we dropped in anyway. BAD IDEA. The service was OK but how the waitress felt that it was ok to serve one of us 5 minutes before the other, I will never understand but the worst part? Seriously Folks, I have had better TV dinners. This food was the most bland Mexican imitation I have ever experienced. The refried beans were a salt lick, the salsa was mediocre at best, the hamburger in the taco was absolutely flavorless, the cheese sauce on the Enchilada tasted like cheese whiz from a jar and what little red sauce there was was also completely flavorless.
Needless to say, although we will typically give a place a second chance, we will never return to La Hacienda in Angel’s Camp. If you prefer good tasting semi-​authentic Mexican food, you won’t either. Taco Bell is just down the street and will have better flavor.

The food was delicious. The wait staff was very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere was very relaxing as well.

We had dinner here last night and it was the worst
dinning experience we have ever had. The waitress
was very rude and extremely unprofessional. We
love Mexican food and this was hands down the
worst we have ever had. I had the steak ranchero
and they forgot to the steak part of it. It was basically
gristle with bell peppers, onions and some sort of
nasty tomato sauce. My wife’s chicken tostada was
also terrible with very little chicken and just tasteless.
I have never paid $ 14.50 for steak ranchero before
and I never will again because we will never ever
go back to this restaurant. The worst dinning
experience ever.

Just had dinner here and the waitress was very rude… we had a party of ten people and there were three other tables that came in after us and they all got served at least ten minutes before us. They served everyone at our table but for some reason the kids got their food last? We brought this issue up with the waitress on how the children should always be served first and she corrected us and said no that’s not true. The food was very good except the salsa and chips they were stale and the sala was bland but we will not be returning if our service is this disappointing again.

Had to wait for hotel room. Manager more than happy to let us hang out.

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE AND SOOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL! I ate here awhile back while I was supposed to be on a relaxing get away with my family.
The prices were wayyy over priced for what we recieved. The lady at the register was SO RUDE. When I was making a remark to my sister about it being really expensive, the lady gave me so much attitude it was crazy. So I asked for her managers name, I probably wasnt even going to complain, but WOW. She gave it to me. And as we were walking out, I told my little sister about how rude she was being. THE LADY ACTUALLY FOLLOWED ME OUTSIDE and in front of my 12 year old sister, says to me ‘GO AHEAD AND COMPLAIN, MY PARENTS ARE THE OWNERS SO NOTHINGGGG WILL HAPPEN TO ME!’ and she continued to throw curse words at me. I told her to go back inside and she kept going.
I HAVE NEVERRRRR EVER IN MY 30 YEARS OF LIFE, have experienced such rude, awful, horrible, uncalled for CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you hate your job and are having a bad day, DO NOT take it out on a customer whos GIVING YOU MONEY for your BUSINESS.
I am so happy I do not live in Angels Camp and forced to eat this horrible food or go to a place with the worst customer service EVER.

Yummy Yummy Yummy. Everyone is so nice and the food is very tasty. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I have had Mexican food all over California, Arizona, New Mexico and in Mexico and we were so happy with this restaurant in the small town of Angels Camp, CA. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was friendly, courteous, and very attentive. We had the vegetarian fajitas, albondigas soup, and a salad and were very happy with our meal. The chips and salsa were delicious and promptly refilled when we ran low. We will certainly return and try something new from their very complete menu.

This place don’t even deserve ONE star! My friend and I went in there and he ordered the chili rehano combo dish and I had a ‘super’burrito. Well he gets his and starts eating and was like what the? It tasted like hamburger or something in the taco he had?! And canned chilis I start eating my burrito and there was like NO flavor! I’ve also not been to a Mexican restaurant yet that didn’t have guacamole with a super burrito? Wth? Also it was the BLANDEST burrito I’ve EVER had! Dude the frozen burritos at the store had more flavor! I opened up my burrito and it was over 75% rice! And a few pieces of chicken! No cilantro the lady argued with me when I ordered because I asked if they could grill it?! She got very defensive and said no don’t think that’s possible… Ummmm oook?! So I flag the waitress back down after I’m deciding that I don’t want my friend to pay like $ 10 for this crap! I couldn’t believe it! The lady (our dumb waitress) was totally arguing with me about it! I’m like I’m sorry I just don’t like it I can’t eat this. She storms off with it. We go to pay and I guess the manger or owner or whoever this lady was was like what was the problem and I said I just didn’t like it! They were STILL gonna charge me for it AND the chips! Really?! the manager lady or whoever she was was totally arguing with me about it. I’m like wth j JUST don’t like it! Then they BOTH started getting defensive and even aggressive in their speech! I said our waitress had a major attitude! The other lady was like no you do… I’m like what? All I said was I wasn’t happy not my fault yall don’t know how to cook! As we were leaving and telling the screaming waitress to shut up she tells me to get the fuck out bitch! She mentioned the F word a couple times even WOW! Everyone was looking and everything! It was totally insane! I’ve never dealt with ANYTHING like that in my LIFE! I’ve sent orders back and they usually apologize and usually get it fixed or in this case did not want nothing from that place just because I already got a taste of my food and was wanting to go elsewhere. Needless to say we went to one of my fav taco trucks in Sonora and ummmm grilled! And they never fail me and always good!!- and friendly! Go to Sonora for Mexican! I guarantee if the people who got good reviews got MY burrito it would be a WHOLE another story! It was like one in the afternoon to! WOW!!!

Visited on a Tuesday evening, after abandoning other restaurants in the area due to poor Unilocal reviews. Décor is fine — looks like your typical Mexican restaurant in America. We were seated right away in a booth, as per our request. Food and drink orders were taken promptly. Chips and salsa followed right away. So far so good.
And then we waited. We noticed that the people in the booth right near us, who ordered immediately before we did, received their food, ate, paid and left before we even received our order. Hmmmmm.
25 minutes after ordering, we received our food. My boyfriend had the steak fajitas, and he said that the steak was tender and well seasoned. The plate only came with two flour tortillas, and he said that he could’ve used one or two more. Pretty average, overall. I had the house special tostada, and the flavor was pretty good. The plate was drowning and lettuce, though. I know you’re supposed to put a lot of lettuce on tostadas, but this was a bit much. I ended up drizzling a little bit of the salsa on top, and that improved the flavor overall. Worst part came at the end, when I found a long blonde hair in my food (I am a brunette). Immediately stopped eating at that point. I figured it was probably my waitress’ hair, because her hair was not tied back, and she is the only blonde that I saw working there.
Meal was reasonably priced at about $ 37. My starred review would’ve been higher, possibly a three or four, except for that nasty hair at the end.

Hot sauce Is from a bottle, tacos is just meat and tortilla, small plate. I got the machaca con huevos. It’s not even machaca. they gave me an egg omelet meat pepers, and ooo yea. That was it. Lol the 2 stars is for the nice waitress

After exploring the area, and taking a well-​deserved nap, my wife was craving carnitas, and we found this place near the hotel. It was about 10 minutes before closing time, with just a few people in the restaurant. They were happy to take the order, and were all friendly. The carnitas were of the large, chunk variety, hard on the outside, and dry on the inside. Fairly bland, but edible. I really love good carnitas, but after two bites, left the rest to my wife. She isn’t a complainer by nature when it comes to food, and said that the rice and beans were okay, but bland. The salsa though really helped, and gave the beans a much needed kick. I might eat there again, perhaps at a time when things were still fresh. Options in this area are pretty limited, especially during the week, so if you want mex in a pinch, this is your only choice for a quick, strip mall take-​out meal.
