The restrooms are pretty consistently gross but the view of the lake is lovely. It’s a nice place stop for a picnic or just to get out of the car but I’d rather pee on the interstate.

This is a really good rest area on I-85 between Spartanburg and Atlanta. A couple of shady parking spaces exist, but even without them there is a nice area where you can walk down through the trees to the lake. A super place to stretch after spending a few hours fighting the idiots who drive Atlanta. Vending machines, restrooms, pet walking area. All good. Be ready for the guy with the dog who needs money because he’s almost out of gas.
