This place is was our go-to spot for after soccer yogurt with our oldest child last summer. The only thing stopping this place from being a easy 5-star experience is the ditzy, teenage high school girls they employ that are more interested in texting on their iPhones and updating their face book page rather than taking care of the customer. I literally stood in front of the register for a good couple minutes while the employee finished her conversation with her friend over the top of me. It was very disappointing that there was no evidence of anyone in charge there. The yogurt itself though is the saving grace of this establishment and also being a self serve bar because customer service is not their thing!

I came here earlier since my sweet tooth was acting up and I wanted a different alternative than cookies or pastries. This shop is conveniently located in a small strip mall next to SteamDot Coffee and Firetap Alehouse. The seating area is wide and spacious with a lot of chairs and tables spread out as well as a counter area and toys for the kids. Wi-Fi is free here as well, but I’ve never thought this place was ideal to study for a few hours, more like stop in for a quick snack or dessert for a few minutes before moving on. I decided to try some of their more interesting flavors aside from the standard vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. I got a medium cup with two flavors: the cake batter and the Moose’s Tooth Root Beer Float. The Root Beer Float was absolutely delicious and the cake batter was not bad either. They had a good variety of items in their toppings bar. I decided to top this treat off with some raspberries, Heath Bar pieces, Bits of Oreo, hot fudge, sliced almonds, cookie dough bits, and waffle cone pieces. They had an option for white mousse chocolate but they were out and surprisingly they were out of whipped cream as well. That’s really a non-issue when you have a diverse array of options to enhance your frozen yogurt treat when the craving hits.

We just discovered this place, it’s very good! The flavors are all fresh, there are tons of options for toppings. Fresh fruit, candies, and syrups. .59 per oz. Cozy little area to sit and enjoy your yogurt, there’s also a family friendly movie playing. :)

Ok… I admit it… I’m kindof a yogurt snob. My favorite place is Fruit Land in the airport, but I have been to the Yogurt Lounge several times now, and its my go to, close to home, second choice, when I don’t want to drive to the airport for yogurt. It’s super clean and they have a variety of fresh fruits, and toppings, along with whipped cream, hot fudge and other flavors to put on your yogurt. I’m not really into sweet yogurt, my favorite almost always is just the plain tart flavor, but I do really like their pistachio, and their steam Dot Coffee flavor, as well as the Dulche La leche, and coconut. My favorite right now is the Mango sorbet, it is delicious with nothing else but whipped cream. I’ve tried a couple others I can’t remember off the top of my head too and enjoyed them as well. Overall they have good yogurt, which is pretty much the same price(which is expensive) as everyone else’s weigh and go places. About the only complaint I have is that due to the design the place can get very echoey and loud, and they are often times run mostly by young kids, who are frequently messing around, eating, talking on the phone, or just not paying attention to the customers that come in. I’ve stood around waiting for a sample for over 5 minutes before, before someone said«oh would you like to try something?» I feel like the employees are often not very professional and just sortof passing the time working there. Other then that though I do recommend this place. I think they are one of the best places in town and have a good selection of yogurts to choose from.

I will definitely be back to this place! Had a cup of country vanilla with the freshest strawberries I’ve ever had at one of these places and mini chocolate chips. Store was impeccably clean and the girls running it were friendly. This will definitely be my family’s goto for a healthy(read: healthier) treat!

This is one of our family’s favorite spots. The kids love the freedom to choose their toppings. We enjoy the yogurt flavors. Pistachio, cake batter, coconut, and tart are some of our favorite choices. If it is your first time, take them up on sampling the yogurts. They rotate new flavors in and out often.

This place is awesome! My daughter has peanut and egg allergies and it is hard to find a place I can trust. Everything is labeled and Marcea went above and beyond giving us toppings from unopened containers from the back just to make sure there wasn’t any cross contamination!

I really like this place! The atmosphere is clean and modern. The staff is friendly and there are two check out stations for efficiency. I think the Steam Dot Coffee flavor is the bomb! I like Cake Batter, too. Will definitely stop in again when I am in the area! Highly recommend!

My first time trying frozen yogurt. Found this place off of here. Very clean and nicely decorated. The ladies working were very attentive to customers entering. They quickly greet you and ask if you would like to try any samples. I was with my husband and two children. We tried a few. I liked the different toppings especially the little mango tapioca balls. 3 bowls(my youngest is only 1) came to just under $ 15. I don’t know what the standard is but that was fine with us. There was a lady with a few children in the front end corner of the store. She brought leggos and the children were playing. I thought that was pretty cool they allowed that. All in all… LOVEDIT. We’ll be back to fill our punchcard :)

Knocked Yogurt Lounge down a peg because of crappy customer service and lame flavors the other day. Plus for adding bubble-pop boba to the toppings bar. I think two flavors is superflous though. Still waiting for them to add red beans…

This place is an easy five star for me. It’s super clean and upbeat, there is never a wait, and the staff is friendly. Love the ‘do it yourself’ vibe and all the flavors are delish! Also like the concept of paying by weight instead of size, flavor or topping. Add in the heatlhy factor, and I am sold!

Wasn’t a huge fan of the flavors they had on tap, but the kicker here is the warmed nutella topping. That alone will keep me coming back! Also, you have to ask them for samples and they do it for you – so it’s a little awkward.

Service isn’t that always like, top notch — sometimes it’s bored, young high schoolers/college kids who are manning the register, but the ones who help you out with samples are usually friendly. Though I must say that I’m maybe comparing this to my experience at SoYo(where they are wayyy friendly and super duper nice, almost to a saccharin-sweet degree), but whatever, the yogurt is so freaking delicious, and they have tons of toppings, I don’t give a crap if the employees shot Nerf darts at me and physically assaulted me while I was arranging my yogurt. As long as I get it, that’s all that matters. What I reeeally like at Yogurt Lounge is the variety of fresh fruit they offer. They had some perfectly ripe mangoes, and I went two days in a row to fill a cup with their NSA vanilla and mangoes. Ah, god, I’m drooling just thinking about it. They always rotate flavors out, so something new or something yucky might come through, but they seem to have the staples(choco, vanilla). They have lots of toppings available, which is great. The shop is pretty big and spacious, and they always have a movie playing, but sometimes it’s damn cold in there! I’m pretty much sold, and I’m slowly getting others addicted. I hope that if YL expands, they’ll bring a place downtown or midtown.

Delicious, creamy and smooth yogurt with so many topping options! Warm Nutella? Yes please! Really inexpensive compared to other yogurt shops I’ve been to.

I’ve been here three times already. From what I’ve tried… I think the frozen yogurt is a bit sour and TOO tarty. I definitely like the location and the décor of the place alone, but as for the yogurt, its always watery and melts too quickly. I also noticed how the toppings always seem to be dried out or just. dirty. Kindof makes me think twice before i add something into my yogurt. I am hoping for improvement because I definitely love the flavors they have here.

The best new place for dessert in town. With new flavors added continuously and all your favorite classic toppings, plus some rare exciting new choices like mochi, there’s always something worth the trip. The inside is clean and attractively modern, with plenty of sitting room if you want to enjoy your froyo with friends. Expect crowds during lunch and in the evenings, as this business is new, and fills a much desired niche that has long been absent in Anchorage.
