This little Alaskan eatery is located next to the Ravn Air check in at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. I fly with Ravn about 5 to 6 times a year out of Anchorage, so I’ve frequented this little restaurant. It opens at 8:00, but I really do wish it opened earlier– as I typically check-in around 7:30 for most of my flights and they’re the only real restaurant on the ‘in Alaska flights’ side of the airport. With that being said, out of all of the places to eat in the Ted Stevens International Airport, Grizzly’s is my first choice. This restaurant has breakfast and lunch/dinner options. You order at the front counter, similar to the way you would at a fast food restaurant. You can then take a seat in their restaurant and they will deliver the food to your table within 5 to 10 minutes. You can order the food to-go, where it comes in a portable container, or to eat-in, where it’s delivered on a plate. Their lunch options include things like sandwiches, subs, reindeer dogs. Their breakfast options include breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy(their biscuits and gravy is my favorite!). The food is good. Semi-fast foodish with a healthy twist(most of the meals here seem pretty fresh, and not frozen). They also have an array of cold items that changes seasonally. They serve pies, Danishes, salads, sandwiches, and hard-boiled eggs. It can get a bit pricey. They’re cooked items are actually fairly affordable, but their cold items and snacks/drinks are ridiculously priced(a bottle of water is $ 3.50!). Go to the lower floor and grab a drink at the stand near the Ravn baggage claim if you want something cheaper. This restaurant usually has very happy employees and they tend to be very quick about getting your food out to you. The place is always very clean and there’s ample seating. The seating is mostly small tables with 2 chairs at them, so this place isn’t necessarily fitting for serving a group. With that being said there’s A LOT of seating, so you could sit a large family here, you’d just be spaced out at different tables. They do have a television that tends to stay on the NBC or HGTV stations. There are plenty of outlets, so if you want to get on the airport wifi or charge a device– you can do that here. It’s one of the only places I’ve found in the airport that has both USB and traditional plug-in outlets so you can literally charge pretty much any device. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but when I’m flying through Ravn I always stop in here for breakfast or lunch. The service is pretty quick, the food is good, and although it’s a little pricey– it’s still one of my all-time favorite airport eateries.

I work in the Anchorage Airport as a seasonal employee for one of the car rentals. As such, I have gotten pretty familiar with the food options outside of security. for the price, grizzly’s is definitely my favorite. True, their food is pricey for the average food in town, but for the location is the cheapest you can get with good quality. I love their sandwiches and chicken wings. The couple that owns the place are super sensitive to their customer’s needs, so if you tell them what you want they’re happy to help. Their staff does seem to change a lot though, but that’s to be expected in an airport job. True, they did remove their coffee espresso machine for coffee, but they are working on putting in a dessert side there, so I can forgive them that. Since there is a starbucks right up the way they werent making a good profit, and decided to remove that. I really look forward to seeing their new dessert side!!! Again, for the price in the airport you really shouldnt complain. the service is great, its locally owned, and the food is good!

It’s the only coffee/food option if using Ravn Alaska, and seems to open around 6.30/7AM. I went a while ago and ordered a latte and smoothie. The smoothie didn’t seem to have any natural flavors in it. Second time the espresso side was closed so I tried to order something espresso on the food side, which I was told pump pot only and the place only had powdered cream. Bleh. Third time I saw the espresso side open and it said to order around the corner, and was again denied since the place didn’t have an espresso machine; Chick got huffy when I suggested to put up a sign stating that. I ordered a breakfast wrap and it came with hash browns. On first glance it looked great, though the hashbrowns were extremely oily and the wrap was very salty. The young counter boy with dark hair was very polite. Oh well. I will not come here again except to sit and look at all the grizzly pictures, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Server is nice but the owner is horrible. Food is so small for the price: a crispy sandwich had literally two small pieces with giant breads and wings are so little and few. Stingy on sauces and eveything. Will not return and not recommended for anyone.

What a pizza! Chicken bacon ranch is easily worth the $ 12 I paid. 12 inch diameter for one person filled me up good. Try it out. Service is quick and friendly, just awesome. Chelsea rocked!
