Bagoy’s Florist & Home

As a government contractor, I spend too much time away from home and away from home, usually on a deployment to some forsaken desert in the Middle East. One way for me to make the experience a bit more bearable for my wife is to send her flowers on an almost regular basis. For her birthday this year, she was very pleasantly surprised to arrive at work to find a bouquet of flowers waiting for her. She said that it really made her day. Score for her, score for me, and score for Bagoy’s!
However, two days later, the roses had wilted and fallen. Naturally, my wife was upset that her birthday bouquet was dying faster than other bouquets I’d purchased from Bagoy’s in the past. So, she made a call to the shop… and they’re replacing the roses for free. I think we both would have enjoyed not needing to replace the flowers, but it’s great that they were willing to do it at no cost.

The service was excellent and their store clean. They have helped me whenever I have needed an arrangement for a special occasion, especially when I need a corsage for a date. The have handled everything with care and consideration. I plan on using them as my flower destination every time.

I am updating my review to reflect that Bagoy’s wanted to make up for my last experience. They were persistent and did a very nice job on replacing the bouquet and even gave my husband the square vase shown in the picture. They added more flowers than were pictured and packaged it nicely for him to pick up. I commend them for trying to make things right.
That said, I still think that you absolutely have to have it right the first time as most people would never tell you that the flowers they received were subpar and thus you would never know. Similarly, most people will never know what you spent and so you would not know that they received something less than you probably should have for the price. I knew what my husband spent because it was on the credit card bill. Even as a replacement bouquet that was much nicer than the original, it was still hellaciously overpriced at $ 60 plus ~$ 13 delivery charge. The original bouquet shouldn’t be more than $ 40 by most standards. As far as the stems look in the vase on multi-​blossom stems, I would recommend something that is not transparent or using a filler like marbles or cover of some sort.
I love buying locally when I can, but you gotta step it up to remain competitive and keep loyal customers.

Bagoys is always my default go to place for flowers and gifts. Most often I find myself scrambling for a last minute bouquet or gift. Bagoy’s always offers the best service, offering advise with gift ideas and whipping up a gorgeous bouquet while there with minimal wait time! Thanks Bagoys for making my shopping experience so expedient and pleasant!

I have on occasion attended open houses at Bagoy’s Florist and Home. The atmosphere was always very pleasant and the staff was helpful in answering all the questions I had. You can find almost anything you want in their store reguarding décor for a new change in your home or some very beautiful flowers! Whatever the occassion.

Recently, I visited Bagoy’s for an arrangement for a coworker. I had a budget and a goal, the staff was so very helpful. They found out about the flower receiver and as if magic had something I knew she would love. Kudos to you Bagoy’s, any gift can be hard but when your staff is willing to pay attention to the last detail it can be effortless.

Was in Bagoys for the first time in a few years this past weekend. Store was gorgeous with unique furnishings and accessories. Erica was super helpful and I walked out with a gorgeous arrangement for under $ 25. Very pleased with Bagoys again!

Bagoy’s advertises heavily in Anchorage and I decided to check it out. As a former florist, I have a very good idea of what things should cost relative to quality, etc. I can say that Bagoy’s is something of a disappointment.
I visited their convenient mid-​town location during the middle of week around lunch time. The place was abandoned. As soon as I entered, I could see why. Their prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I mean downright outrageous. And frankly, as far as flowers were concerned, they didn’t have much variety. They had a nice variety of gifts and home décor, but again, the prices were off the charts. $ 300 for lamp, really? It wasn’t even cool. It was just a regular lamp. They had a couple cute things for baby and some nice fragrances. Other than that, I was largely unimpressed by Bagoy’s.
