Sizzler

Greatest ribeye steak ever but they are closed. They have been closed at least the last 4 – 5 months now.

Haven’t be by in awhile, but someone told me they were closed. Tried the phone number and it’s been disconnected. Anyone know if it is permanent?

the worst food and service ever! never ever going back. the food was old and the manager wouldnt refund my money back. degenerate.

I come here every once in a while. I never had bad service, place is always clean. good service. GOOD BOTTOMLESS SHRIMP!!!

First of all — if you’re trying to find this place you may have trouble because Google has their address messed up. It is on Brookhurst at 888 but its not by the Home Depot. Head away from the freeway like a mile down the road and you will find it! The owner is amazingly friendly — helped us find the location on the phone and personally greeted us at the door. He took our order and brought the food to us, and gave us free soup for having trouble finding the place! Wow! He checked on us frequently and refilled our drinks for us so we didn’t have to do it — and the kicker? Offered free dessert too! It was amazing. My guy and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary together and thought we’d go to a place we used to go as kids and this far exceeded our expectations. The service was fantastic. The shrimp was sooooo yummy and the steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it. The free soup filled me up so I couldn’t even try the dessert! But that looked amazing too! Don’t be afraid, go try this place because it totally rocks and I’m sure you’ll have a good experience. There weren’t a lot of people there and that was a shame because there should be.

I give 5 stars just for the awesome owner of this Sizzler. He’s so nice and always sits with my family while we eat. Great environment. You can never go wrong with the salad bar. My personal favorites at the salad bar are the chicken nuggets and the little breads stuffed with corn. I love Sizzler.

Great service. Fresh food. Sort of unkept bathrooms. Wish they had more of a drink and dessert selection. Went on a very busy Mother’s Day but was a good visit after all.

This place was OK server was very nice… then again it there was not many people there & food was good. I will go back.

The manager/​owner (?) was really really rude. We went there for diner, had some left over and he won’t let us bring it home!!! He said it has to be eaten in the restaurant!
Make a big commotion, make us feel so embarrassed. Never go there again. Beware people EAT all your food!

I am reading these negative reviews about the manager, and the restaurant as a whole. Lately (for medical reasons) I have needed to eat soft food, so I order the malibu chicken dinner with salad bar. It is excellent! I have only been in 4 times or so, and the manager (a middle eastern dude?) remembers my order every time. Despite the fact that it is somewhat busy there on a friday night, the two waitresses (who are responsible for the whole restaurant) never fail to check back at least 4 – 5 times. I am not the type of person that demands that waiters and waitresses jump through hoops like some rude Unilocalers want… but these waitresses at Sizzler are awesome!

The Manager Zee was totally disrespectful. I brought in a Phone App Coupon and did not want to accept it. His explanation was he wanted a print out which was not necessary. Zee needs to be retrained about customer service and needs to be educated. They have officially lost my business for a super long time. I also sent a note to website an they did not apologies for the rudeness and disrespect which this manager presented… very sad. Other staff/​Waitress was super courteous. Only Manager needs corrective actions.

Great customer service! I was greeted when I walked in, they were quick to take my order, and I was offered a complimentary drink upon waiting for my takeout order. It’s not busy at all for a Friday evening but it was good because they we super attentive and quick.

Had a great meal. Enjoyed service from a very nice server that made sure we had everything we wanted the way we wanted it. Thank you, Faith !! :) Our steaks were great and we have been enjoying soup, salad, chicken wings, fried corn (not sure what it’scalled), and more from the salad bar. Yum ! :)

Best salad bar i ever had :)

Sadly enough I’ve been coming to this Sizzler location since I was probably still in elementary school. So I’ve seen it change over the years and not to mention the change that the entire strip mall that it’s located in has seen as well. Now there is a great Hookah Café along with a few good places to eat and yet somehow this Sizzler seems to stand the test of time.
Whenever I go nowadays I pretty much always get the Tri-​tip steak in the «sizzler» cut. Which if you go by the numbers is the best deal on the tastiest steak they offer,…In my humble opinion of course :) I also always get the salad bar too. I just have to. I can’t pass by the tasty offerings that come with the Salad bar. Oh and let’s not forget the YUMMY chicken tenders that come in the Dinosaur shapes (Tyrannosaurus Rex shapes to be exact lol). And lastly let’s not forget the DELICIOUS cheezy toast. Oh man,…I seriously can’t get enough of it. I’ll eat everyone’s toast if they aren’t watchful haha
For being an older establishment they definitely keep this place up. It’s clean all around, the salad bar and all the fixin’s are always in order. I must say though,…the silverware could definitely use some extra attention. There’s been a few times that I’ve had to send a fork or a knife back because of «crusties». Oh and the bathroom is kept up as well,…Not the cleanest but definitely not the nastiest either.
Coming back here each time is always a trip down memory lane and I’m sure glad that this particular location is still around.

Great food and a great deal! I like that Sizzler is incorporating a ‘Value Menu’ Not only does it come with an entire entrée, but you also get the Endless Salad bar with it!
A very clean restaurant with a wide variety and well-​stocked salad bar. Also a couple of pretty large TVs for watching sports. Disappointed to see so many people have complaints with the manager because he was very friendly with us. I walked in with a group of 8 during a busy time and he was very patient with us and took his time explaining the menu rather than rush us through the ordering process.
Highly recommend. I haven’t been to a Sizzler in a while but this visit reminded me that I need to go back soon!

Craving for salads? Go here and try their endless salad bar for 9.99, definitely worth it! Very fresh and generous salad bar with soups, tacos, nachos, chicken wings, corn fritters, potato, spaghetti, fruits, jelo, pudding and ice cream. i like their chowder and the chicken wings is crispy but not too oily. Also try the strawberry lemonade that has real bits of strawberry in it.
This location is clean and has good ambiance with lots of tv in every corner. Manager is very accommodating and our server Stephanie is very nice. The restroom is kept clean too.
Too bad I have to minus 1 star because the main entrée is not that good. Their fettuccine is soggy and lacks flavor. Also the prime rib is a so so… I only come back here for the salad bar.

I’ve been coming here more regularly since finding this Sizzler near Disneyland, about 2.2 miles away. I was craving their chicken wings from the salad bar one day.
I must say, I was very impressed. For many years, Sizzler wasn’t very appetizing. After seeing some good ads, starting at $ 9.99 for entrée and salad bar, I thought it was a pretty good deal.
I normally get the 6 fried shrimp entrée with salad bar for $ 10.99. The shrimp is very crispy with cocktail sauce on the side. The rice pilaf is pretty good. The cheese bread is excellent.
I really like their salad bar. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. My faves are the chicken wings (crispy & meaty, not greasy, with a flavorful crunch), corn fritters (yum! kinda sweet), the guacamole is awesome!, all the veggies are fresh. They have the most awesome croutons! So fresh & light & crispy, sometimes I eat a whole plate of it dipped in ranch! mmm. Clam chowder was also very good. End that with some soft serve & you get a happy tummy.
They are located in a plaza with lots of parking. It’s not usually crowded.

Sizzla.

It was cold and rainy this morning so I drank lots of the Burundi Kayanza coffee I found at Target 2 weeks ago. It was a grueling traffic day going up to Glendale and back. No sweat, on the way home, I thought I’d quickly stop at Sizzlers for lunch, go the the boy’s room, and head back quickly home in less than 40 minutes or so. Nope. It took 25 minutes to get through the register. Finally! Both my bladder and I were gladder and able to appreciate the meal.
I thought at 11:25. things would zip along. As luck would have it there were 10 people in line ahead of me But the manager wasn’t there yet, and they had one cashier/​server for the whole place with almost 20 people. She rang up all the orders, took phone calls, brought the food out, and brought replacement sodas, extra plates and napkins, etc. as we stood in line. I don’t like to waste time, so while in line I did the following
–checked my bank balance by phone
— got all my messages and responded on my work blackberry,
— made a call to my parents,
— made an appointment for a flu shot,
— and wrote the first page of a report due today standing up.
Those of us in line agreed it wasn’t the fault of the server, But the manager failed to staff his place properly. After the rush was done, in came her manager as relaxed as ever. The service politely told him there were way too many people for her, that she couldn’t answer all the people on the phone, and had 20 plus people in one hour plus the guy behind me had 8 to go lunch orders. At least the food was good.
The steak was awesome, it was as almost as tender as a filet mignon, It was cooked perfectly. I read another review who said the meet is Halal. If that’s true, cool. The salad bar was well stocked with cold foods really cold and hot foods were warm and kept clean. They didn’t have the imitation crab salad that I like, but they had Greek salad in its place and the cranberry spinach salad, my favorite item in the entire menu. Also, a lunch with salad bar and soda with tax is $ 10.63. At other Sizzlers’ they’re charging extra for drinks now so I like their pricing.
Normally, I would’ve walked out with the slow service. But it was still raining, and I wasn’t very anxious to head anywhere. I just hope it’s not like this all the time. With my tummy full and my bladder gladder it was an easy drive home.
