Wow awesome food and great atmosphere. If you want a big burger try the monster. I am coming back soon. Waitress was so pleasant too.

Came in here for a quick round of drinks while on our way to a family dinner, quaint on the outside and beautiful on the inside. The bartender Melissa was amazing and sweet and made us some awesome drinks. Will be back!

We have since returned and also ordered to go meals from Sammy and are very happy and satisfied every time. The Cadillac Margarita was really good. A fun and quality place to eat and gather.

The food is fine.
The staff, especially the hostesses and manager, lacked in social and etiquette skills that would have been appropriate in a restaurant. I suggest the owner explain to the staff that it is important to treat customers with common courtesy and kindness. Without this skill the establishment will eventually fail. This is most likely why their Unilocal
ratings have fallen over the past year. I suggest trying another restaurant that cares to keep customers coming back for more.

Went their this past Sunday to watch the panthers game and met the coolest bartender Daren. He made great drinks and made us feel so welcoming. If your looking for a cool vibe with great drinks with excellent customer service would definitely recommend coming down here and ask for Daren.

Came here during their happy hours from 3pm-​6pm, their pitcher of Budlight or Coors Light is $ 9 not bad, they have good prices on their drinks as well as appetizers… came here on Sunday, watched the NFL game. GO panthers! haaa after that we went to the movies next door, good place to go to before or after the movies if you are hungry!

5 Stars on Food, 2 Stars on Customer Service. I am in LOVE with the Steak Fajitas — Best I’ve ever had in my life. I really respect Sammy’s for going the extra mile (like the tortillas tasting buttery toasted) with their food. The ambiance is really great and the owner has done a fantastic job with the aesthetically pleasing interior. Most times I’ve been to Sammy’s the waitresses and waiters were really good. Last time, and most recently not so much — you would expect to be greeted with a big smile and Hello when you enter a restaurant and 3 girls are staring at you like you shouldn’t be there. I didn’t feel warmly welcomed. When I asked if I could change tables so my wife could be closer another heat lamp outside, I was questioned with, «what’s the difference?» and when I didn’t have a plate for my fajitas the waitress said, «can you use one of the little plates?» I usually don’t complain but I can’t stand when servers make you feel they are «put out» to accommodate you as a guest. 5 Stars on the Food, 2 Stars on Customer Service.

I have been here many times. Yesterday the most recent. I like the vibe of the place to start with. We always sit in the bar area to watch whatever game is on My favorite dish this week is the strawberry salad with goat cheese and I add grilled salmon so yummy! The soups here are always homemade and delicious They have the best garlic fries!!! It is a bit pricy but the portions are large and the food is fresh and delicious. I will go back for sure!

We had a great late lunch, with good service, great food and drinks. Loved the Parmesan fries and Chicken Pesto sandwich and the fusilli Meats Fillet. We will be back

Great local bar & restaurant. Their service is efficient & very understanding to people with allergies. My sister realized her meal came with nuts but she is allergic so the server immediately took it back and brought a new plate out without nuts without a problem. They have great appetizers and Happy Hour deals.

This spot reminds me of Paul Bunyan burger in Oregon. Great malts and burgers. The menu is great. I enjoy the hotdogs chilli veggie quesadilla. Sammy is a nice guy and always friendly.

Really nice bar and restaurant area. The food is really good and there is a lot of if. The prices are just a tad high, but with the amount of food they give you, I guess it is this equals out.
The service is also top notch and is what you would expect at a much higher end restaurant, not at a bar.
I will go here again.
FYI: they give you 10% off with a movie ticket or receipt from the theater next door.

They don’t have a house scotch so hubby not into it. Cost too much for one drink.

If you’re looking for a good Brunch with bottomless mimosas then this is the perfect spot for those of you in the OC.
At only $ 15/​person, the bottomless mimosas start at the restaurant opening and continue until 1:00 so you get a glorious 3-​hour time frame to get your drink on. The service at Sammy’s is fantastic, albeit the fact that my server forgot to give our table the free Unilocal appetizer of salsa and chips. At some point I remember jokingly telling my server that I didn’t even need orange juice in my mimosas so he made sure to mix a small amount of OJ in my stem to maximize the potency. I absolutely loved that!
The brunch options are your typical orders of omelettes, eggs, pancakes, and the like. Depending on what you order it can range from $ 12 – 17 which is pretty reasonable for the portion size. Would highly recommend!

Pros and cons to every dining experience but unfortunately here there were more cons.
Pro:
It was ½ off bottle of wine Wednesday. We ordered two bottles of the (house) Pinot Noir and it was yummy!
Cons:
BBQ chips came out tasting as if they had been sitting for quite some time. French fries weren’t even warm and too tasted as if they had been under heat lamps. The Seared Ahi Salad was a complete and utter disappointment. A handful of bagged lettuce, a few cucumbers, and the thinnest pieces of seared ahi that were definitely not fresh. The dressing was bland and might I add the salad was $ 16! Total rip off! The Chicken Pesto Sandwich was dry… my friend didn’t even finish ¾ of it and didn’t even want to take the rest home.
The patio is quaint but 5 loud trains passed by within the hour we were sitting out there. So loud you had to shout over the noise. Totally killed the vibe of the cute twinkle patio lights and music.
Tip: if you dine here, sit inside at the bar where you’ll be away from the noisy train (s). Stick to appetizers and maybe their ribeye sandwich. ½ off bottles of wine on Wednesday is a sweet deal but that is about it. Most likely will not return to Sammy’s for anything other than that.

We ate here for the first time and my husband and I were very pleased! The food was delicious delivered fast and our cups were always full. The restaurant had a great décor and a pleasant atmosphere. Kelsey our waitress was fabulous along with a few other associates who checked on us. We will definitely be back.

My husband and i met in this plaza for dinner from our jobs to avoid some traffic. This place looked great! And we were surprised at how nice it was inside for a «bar and grill».
The server took our drink order. she brought the wrong drink for me. .i ordered white zin. she brought a margarita. No problem.
We started with an appetizer wings. She didn’t even ask us what kind of sauce wanted before leaving the table. We figured it’d be mild buffalo.. And we were right. But we would’ve liked to have been asked. Haha
Then i ordered Fusilli and Fillet and my husband ordered the full rack of ribs w mashed potatoes and corn.
The wings were good (hence 1 star).
The drinks were fine (1 more star).
NOTHING HAD ANY SEASONING!
No salt. no pepper… the «bbq sauce» was like ketchup… the potatoes had zero butter or salt. My pasta was cooked al dente (yay.) but the meat was chewy and fatty and tough– over done. no sear​.no flavor. we did not eat half of our meal before giving up and asking for the check. We figured we’d rather tough out the 91 freeway in rush hour than eat that food. The ribs alone were $ 28… so disappointed..

Good food, although at times the service can be lacking. When I ordered a cucumber martini (off of their signature martini list, no less) the server suggested something completely different. Later he dropped the check without offering to get us another drink or dessert. Turn and burn, right?
I have liked their burgers, and the BBQ chicken salad. The pulled pork left me feeling underwhelmed. Check in for free chips and salsa or BBQ chips.
Good for groups. Nice patio for drinks al fresco.

Ive heard that this place is on the expensive side, and now that Ive finally had a chance to test it out myself, it is in fact, on the expensive side.
Their menu has a large array of options, from salads and sandwiches to Fajitas and Quesadillas. I like that with any of their salads, you can add any protein you like. I got the Mediterranean salad (about 7 bucks) and added salmon (8 bucks). So this was a $ 15 salad, for a small size. They also offer a large. While it was good, I dont think it was really worth 15 bucks.
I feel like the majority of the menu is just a couple bucks more expensive than it should be.
Other than that, the staff is very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and modern. They also have a bar. Parking wasnt a problem at all. They dont have alot of options for wine by the glass, but they do have some very tasty ones.
As a heads up, you cant see this place from the street. Its back behind Knowlwoods.
