Best pizza out of all the fast food chains has to be Papa Johns. Perfect pizza for the price

Ordered a pizza and Brookie. Pizza came a little later than anticipated but understand work can be busy. I had ordered extra cheese along with their 3-cheese. I called to remind them my cookie was not with the delivery. The manager immediately knew it was for me left at the store, amongst the re-assurance of its delivery. My pizza had almost no cheese. Pizza was replaced and got my cookie at their earliest convenience. Good customer service on the managers end.

I have visited this particular store over 20 times. I usually order ahead online. No matter if I call or order online, I always have my order ready when promised and it is always hot and delicious! I would recommend it to anyone.

This weekend I got to do Christmas with my family. . we ordered pizza for a snack. . We got the WORST Pizza ever — Papa John’s — My elementary school cafeteria served better pizza. I know good pizza — NYC, Brooklyn, NJ, Chicago and SEALBEACH. . man these big chains may be good at advertising but it is always the local pizza shop that serves the best — do not order here

I order papa John pizza online yesterday 5:15pm. To make that I don’t have to wait very long I called first. Costumers service said with in 20 min. I went there after 30:00 min. I got to their place and paid cash register said it’s on the oven. I asume we she said that it will take 5 min or 10 min. 20 min I said I order thin crust pizza even if you put it on the oven to cook when I paid the pizza I been here 20 min waiting it should be cooked by now. Papa John pizza, never again…

Completely shocked. Called this place to let them know my delivery order was not correct and the manager told me in a kind voice that he was sorry and they would do better next time. That was it. So I asked him if there was anything he could do about the situation and he said, «unfortunately, no.» I asked for another manager or the phone number of another manager and he said he couldn’t give that out. As a last resort, I asked if he could send someone out to pick up the incorrect order and refund my money. He agreed he would! Wow! They won’t send out a new correct order, but they will send someone out to pick up an incorrect order and hand-deliver a cash refund? Am I being punked?! Ashton?! How demoralizing it must be to that staff to have a manager ask them to return to a home and pick up incorrect orders. I felt so bad that this delivery guy had to do this. It was just the most bizarre situation to have happen.

This is a review based on customer service… The employees at this store have no manners and lack customer service skills. I attempted to place an order online and was brought to an error message telling me that online ordering was not available at the moment and asked that I call in to place my order. I was trying to purchase an online special so when I explained this to the girl that answered the phone she immediately said they could not honor the online special and said she could give me the online technical support phone number. I told her that the website said it could not take orders at the moment so what will tech support do for me and she quickly said hold on and immediately began to talk to her coworker about me in a condescending manner… Yeah I could hear the whole conversation since she didn’t mute the line or place me on hold. Once she came back on the line I told her that I had some advice for her… Next time you want to talk crap on a customer make sure you mute/place the line on hold and by the way forget the order I’m no longer a customer of Papa Johns. I guess I would be angry and bitter if I only made minimum wage and worked at a pizza delivery shop… Needless to say I got my pizza elsewhere and have officially banned this company from my household.

Ordered two specialty pizzas about a week ago. They arrived at my cousin’s apt before I did and she signed for me but the delivery dude didn’t give her a copy of the receipt. Well, anyway, the pizzas were ok. We got the BBQ chicken pizza with pineapple and The Works. I only ordered from Papa John’s because of their garlic dip that comes with the pizzas. Today, I saw a charge for about $ 32 and called them saying that I was told the pizzas were $ 13 each! Of course I figured taxes will add a couple bucks but my cousin didn’t write tip in so I asked why it was more than $ 28 and the dude explained that with taxes and delivery charge, the amount should be correct. I’m glad she didn’t write tip in because they already charge you for delivery! Well, I’m the kind of person who likes to leave good tips… but if you already charge for delivery… your loss. Sorry, but I’m not paying extra for tip and delivery when the tip is supposed to be for the delivery service anyway! Oh… and don’t be a jerk and hang up the phone on me when I’m asking you questions. That’s why you’re getting 2 stars! Fix your manners!

Horrible experience, I call and place an order for pizza and dessert. The guy took it down well had my name and info on file and placed the order and told me 30 – 45 mins. I wait and it’s been 1 hr and I call up asking what is wrong. They tell me now it will be 45mins to an hour, very irritated they offered the pizza for free. So I guess that’s ok until little later I get the call from the manager saying they have no order at all and no history. So now all of a sudden they have no trace of my order and did not want to offer free pizza and wants me to take the order all over again. No thank you after hour and a half this is not work my time, and I see they did not want to give me the pizza for free. Terrible service and horrible waiting times. On a Monday I didn’t know people would order pizza more so than on Fridays. I would not recommend this Papa johns or any at all.

Placed a mobile order for delivery. I didn’t see a notes section for the delivery guy so I called just to make sure he had our special instructions on where to deliver at apt complex. Once he arrived he gave me a call, we picked up our pizza, checked for all the condiments and we were all good. He even included plates and napkins which was awesome. I have to say our pizza was piping hot and remained hot the entire feast which was a plus. BBQ wings were pretty good. Overall I was happy with the delivery service and food.

I got the 7.99 $ special carry out one topping large pizza. Total came out to $ 8.63. Not bad, then Asked for 3 ranch. She told me it was 75 cents per each one… I thought that was ridiculous!!! Total came out to around $ 10.50

I personally wouldn’t choose Papa Johns as my go to and after this experience there is a reason why. Someone in our party was craving Papa Johns so we went for it. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with green peppers & onions which did arrive in a timely manner. Time gave them one star. The pizza I received was a pepperoni & chicken pizza without onions & peppers. Being as hungry as we were, we chose to eat that pizza and call after. I spoke to an employee there who apologized and offered to make us a new pizza. It was too late for that. Instead, he would pass along our information to the manager to see what else could be done(star number 2 for caring). This was on July 11th. It’s now the 21st, never received a call, and never ordering Papa John’s again.

Ordered papa johns Philly cheesesteak pizza online for a special they were running. It arrived in 45 min later and boy was it awful. The cheese and toppings ran right off the slice immediately when picked up. Also it uses a garlic cheese sauce that resembles cottage cheese. Just awful. So I called PJ and told them my complaint. They sent a cheese pizza over and it arrived in 60 min free of charge. It was decent 6⁄10. so I give 3 stars bc of customer service. It is less for quality of food.

Against my better judgement. After reading the reviews and I gave them the Benifit of the doubt. Pizza was horrible ordered a large peporoni with jalapeños I counted 2 peporoni per slice cold pizza no fork for my salad and no napkins! NEVERAGAIN!

My experience is just for carry out. This Papa John’s has the best customer service. Everyone who works here is so friendly and courteous. Every time I go pick up my order, I’m consistently impressed with their great customer service. Thank you, guys! And the pizza always is good too!

Okay, fellow denizens of Unilocalland. Last night we had extravagant plans for dinner but we had a Niagra of cocktails and hence, we unfortunately had to lower our standards. It happens. So I got into an argument with a cohort about the oft misunderstood and under appreciated anchovy in relation to pizza. So, i downloaded the Papa John’s app and ordered two extra large pizzas just to piss him off. The first, extra large with regular sauce and cheese, anchovies, jalapeños, and pineapple. The Trifecta of Balance. Oh, but ordered it well done. Vital. The second, extra large with spicy sausage, baby Portobello mushrooms, and Roma tomatoes. More subdued, but tasty. Well doneness not important for this one. I did not speak slurringly with a human, which was cool. I received a confirmation email. 55 minutes later, the feast arrived. Hell, even the tip was paid beforehand. It was, knock on door, open door, grab pizzas, thank you, goodbye. Oh, and hide the garlic dipping sauce before anyone realizes what I’m up to — that’s just weird. Pizzas should not require dipping sauces of any kind. It’s like mayonnaise or ranch dressing. Pointless, and a waste of calories. These pseudo accoutrements have become habit for some people who just don’t know better. I’m against that lazy kind of eating, the non-questioning acceptance of craptology that pervades North American fast food in general. To make a stupidly short story less long, my cohort loved the anchovies. Yes, they were smartly subtle, very salty as expected, and the pineapple and zing of jalapeños were spectacular in concert. For lazy delivery, this turned out really good. Papa John’s was great when they first hit the scene. A too soon over expansion kind of resulted in a profound dip in quality for a few years but they are back in the game now. The dough tastes like actual dough and not greasy. The toppings are perfect. It was a bit pricey for this kind of fare with a delivery fee and a generous tip, and the extra large was kinda not so extra large for the extra two bucks, but we were satiated. Loved the ease of the app. I’d give it a shot. Hey, I’ve said before I’m not a pizza snob. But for delivery fare, you couldn’t do much better, at least on this coast. Hope this helps! And do give anchovies a chance. And Papa John’s. It works. But besides pineapple and jalapeños, I can’t figure out an alternative combo that pairs as well with the little fishies from the standard pizza toppings out there. If you can figure out a better pairing, please message me and I’ll try it.

Ordered an extra large pizza and wings last night at 6:30, online said 30 – 40 minutes… By 7:30 the order hadn’t arrived, so I called the store… Nobody picks up the phone, so I redial, again no answer, I keep redialing 5 times in a row! Finally the guy shows up 30 minutes late and he doesn’t have the receipt to which he says how much do you owe me? Really?! I’m supposed to tell you how much I owe? Ok! $ 1.00! Luckily I’m an honest guy gave him the full amount plus a tip(why I tipped him is beyond me). Finally sit down to eat and the pizza looks like it has been sitting in his car for an hour, it’s literally cold and the wings were burnt. I don’t make a lot of money, when I do decide to treat myself to a delivery pizza and spend almost $ 30 at your establishment I expect it to show up on time and to be warm!!! This papa johns is a joke! I have sent in a complaint to corporate and from the sound of the rest of your Unilocal reviews I doubt you’ll be owning a franchise much longer!!!

Gave this place another shot. I made a mistake and checked carryout instead of delivery. I called 30 minutes later to change it to delivery. Pizza was sitting in front and they said I would have to wait a bit longer for the delivery guy to come back. I said no problem. 2 hours later nothing. LOL I called and asked what’s the deal. They said, the pizza is here waiting for pickup. ??? So the guy on the phone who changed my order to delivery never did it. They also charged my card w/o me signing it. Interesting. After a few back and forth, they cancelled my order. So, I’ll have to wait and see if they charged my card or not.

They get 1 star because papa John’s pizza anywhere is amazing. They get 1 star for always delivering on time. They get another star because they’re the only joint to include sauce with their pizza/wings. Most others charge you. I took away a star because this specific location always seems to mess up my order in little ways. I order around 12 – 1 in the afternoon for delivery about once a week. Sometimes I’ll be missing a complimentary sauce/they’ll wrongly box my order(put chicken poppers without foil/put a cookie in a 12in box) or put toppings I didn’t want into my pizza(I ordered a Hawaiiian chicken BBQ without onions, and somehow there’s sausage on it) And I took away another star for the morning crew in general. I’ve also gotten my pizza delivered and my side(hot wings usually) left in the car ready to go to another customer. And sometimes when I phone in an order it takes far too many rings before being answered. Some of the delivery drivers are nice, and others breathe down your neck as you sign the receipt to see how much you’re going to tip them. I think it’s more helpful to write a review here than to call in and tell them What’s wrong with my order every time they mess up. I’m sure all they get is a slap on the wrist, and it’s no benefit to me.
