My sister and I were in the mood for some good Mexican food. This is a small dinky hole in the wall restaurant so you’d expect some great food. However it was just okay. The only thing we both agreed on were the taquitos. The problem is they don’t have guacamole. How can you have taquitos without guacamole? Their other menu items are okay, not great. My sister had their enchilada; there was not enough sauce. I had their crispy beef taco but the meat is too tough. I think they fried the beef in the taco shell and stuff it with lettuce. The prices are really cheap so that helps a lot if you’re on a budget.

Still trying to get my Mexican fix we were looking for some al pastor meat. After randomly checking out a few places, we stumbled across this. They had it. I had three tacos. They were the first ones I’ve ever had with actual pineapple in them. As I understand this is correct – I just don’t like it. I was also missing something akin to a salsa bar which many of my fave holes in the wall up north have. No pico de gallo/salsa mexicana available. Salsa de chile habanero I don’t even expect anywhere except the Yucatan. They had a pleasant green sauce and an orange smooth sauce. No beers either. But the lady behind the counter was so sweet. That’s an extra star.
