Do you want real Mexican food like you’d find in someone’s home in Mexico? This is the place. It’s a total hole in the wall. The décor is kinda basic but their«Sazon» which is Spanish for flavor, compares to my aunty and grandmas kitchen. The tacos de cabeza(beef cheeks) are phenomenal. And the sope de chicharon(spicy pork cracklings stew) is so damn tasty. You won’t find Mexican food for white people here. This is Mexican food for Mexican people.

I found this place on Unilocal, didnt know what to expect since it only had a few reviews, so i gave it a chance and its actually good food! I got a asada wet burrito and the thing was huge! The ingredients they use are great! Food has flavor, not stingy with the portions. I woukd definately be coming back when im in the area. The ppl behind the counter were friendly, a small business but big hearted. Highly recommend giving it a try

My son goes crazy for their potato tacos. Tiny hole in the wall place that is most likely family owned but they have really good authentic mexican food.

Excellent Mexican food. You never know what expect to with a little hole in the wall but this place has delicious homemade Mexican food. We had chilaquiles and menudo it was all tasty. Cinnamon coffee to boot. FYI we ate on a Saturday morning so they are open on Saturday.

Homemade tortillas with quesadillas. Ask for a quesadilla with mole design pollo. It’s not on the menu but they’ll mark it happen. Kaboom.

I got the Chile Verde Burrito and I would have given it 5 stars because the flavors were amazing. The pork was so tender and the green salsa was just right. The reason I gave it 4 stars, reluctantly is because the burrito could have had more meat and less beans and rice. Next time I’m getting the plate version!

We live about 5 mins away from Juliana’s Mexican Food and it is one of our restaurants of choice. They are open late and they are always very friendly. Their menudo is delicious and their Quesadillas Chilangas are pretty good too. The jamaica(hibiscus) water is very tasty as well. The only knock is that their asada meat looks a little little ground beef. It is not ground beef, but it may look that way because they use a little too much oil on it. Other than that, everything else I have tasted has been delicious. Oh, bring cash if you don’t want an additional small charge for using your card.

This place tried to pass off hamburger as carne asada. Anyone who lives in SoCal know the difference between carne asada and hamburger. I’ve had their burritos before and really liked them, but today? No, not only did they try to pull a fast one, but they were rude too. Do yourself a favor and go to the little Mexican store in the same parking lot. The owner there is funny, pleasant, honest and a good guy too. Don’t come here for good food.

Whats a boy to do when the hunger sets in and he craving some Mexican after a long meeting? It was 9:10 pm and I went to my trusty Unilocal app and whadda ya know Juliana’s is right around the corner. Haven’t been there in years, why not I told myself. «Oh no!» As I pulled in to Julianas parking lot. I thought she was closed. There was one dude parked outside talking on a cell phone who I figured must be waiting for his girlfriend or something, but the lights were all on and the sign said open so I dashed inside and asked one of the ladies behind the counter if they were still open. «Jes til 9:30» she said«are jou hungry?» «Starving» I told her. «A little or a lot?» «A lot» I replied. «O jou want I make jou especial?» she asked «Like what?» «Maybe tacos or burritos, wha jou like?» «Hell I like everything» I told her. «K, I make jou something good» «Right on, cuz I’m hungry» Several Min later she brings me a taco plate and a coke. «That looks great, thanks, how much do I owe you?» «$ 8 – 9OK for jou?» I handed her a ten spot and off she went. WHAT I GOT: Tacos, Al Pastor, Lengua, 2 Asada, rice and beans. TASTE: Al Pastor … the pork with a touch of pineapple/onion tender and tasty. What a great taco! I’m going back for more! 5*****Stars Lengua … tender and savory beef flavor, like a Mexican French kiss for your mouth. 4****Stars Asada … The asada tacos were kind of ordinary but the house green sauce made ‘em very tasty. 3.5****Stars Beans … Very authentic! Manteca frijoles as they should be. 5*****Stars Rice … Nice flavor(chicken stock) the seasoning was spot on. 4****Stars «Ey! jou like my rice and frijoles?» she asked me from across the counter as I was finishing up my meal. «Hell yea» I said«You know how to do it right. The Pastor is awesome too!» «I’m glad jou like, I make only small pots of rice and beans, to keep fresh taste. Jou come back early next time, I keeps jou happy.» «Aw thanks, I’m happy now.» I told her. «I make jou tummy more happier nex time.» «Thanks alot! I’ll be back soon!» I couldn’t have asked for better service. They(she) treated me like a king. 5*****Stars Its a small joint witha few kooky decorations, a TV(football) and a dozen tables.
Juliana’s makes some good Mexican grub and the Al pastor and her beans are awesome!

My good friend Chad A and I(once again) were waaaay overdue for a Mexicana Grub Fest and he suggested this place since I was feeling like I did to much Boy from Nickerson Gardens & was Jones’in for a fix. ====================================================== As soon as we pulled up I knew this was another authentic hole in the wall great Mexican eatery and I said«King Taco… quien?» Chad and I were both greeted with smile by the owner(such a nice man) and his staff and, as we conversed in Spanish that Chad had brought a new friend, I found out Chad had just been here a few days ago! Well, my fellow Unilocalers after this review you will know why as did I! Upon entering the inside of this authentic, mouth watering and welcoming family owned business Chad directed my attention to the young lady behind the counter making tortillas from scratch… yes by hand, then pressed then made for packaging but in our case they were being made for our orders and here is mine, I’ll let Chad’s update fill you in on his Grub Fest: 1) Tacos-3 doubled up tortillas filled with Cilantro, Onions, Mole Salsa, roasted Serrano Peppers filled delights. 1 Taco con Carne Asada-Juicy, tender diced chunks of seasoned meat that had the perfect texture and a great starter too. 1 Taco con Cabeza(the meat and part of the brain de la vaca), the best cabeza taco I have ever eaten as most have just been under cooked but this taco was full of flavor and had just the correct portions to make the combination of the Cilantro and Onions pop goes the weasel my taste buds! 1 Taco con pollo, unseasoned, dry chicken(which was most unfortunate) but, adding the sauces and dipping this taco into my Menudo made this taco tasty & palatable and up to speed in a second! And, a large bowl of Menudo and I mean large too! This is how I like my Menudo, full of 20 perfectly textured(I counted) fresh cleaned Tripe and, just the correct amount of seasonings. And, add the Limes, Cilantro and Onions along with those homade Tortillas for dipping and I was a Puerco! Also, an extra large freshly made Jaimica that I could taste the Hibiscus Flowers and juices so well blended. Cost: $ 16 and worth every penny and then some. Also, for those of you who know Michael P., this was the perfect meal after a night of Tito’s+420. And, do the math and a visual as to why this meal was just what the doctor ordered, that doctor being that talented young lady under the guidance of a man who knows how Mexican food & Menudo are done spot on…(no make that cuisine) for those who seek the real deals guidance. $ 1 charge for using a credit card, bring cash if that takes a a big bite out of your budget porbrasitos! Juliana’s Mexican Food, you make me sing this about your familia and comer:

I have used Unilocal in the past to guide me in my weekend culinary adventures. However, i should really pay more attention to the number of reviews on each restaurant. I this case, I can tell you I was extremely disappointed with their tacos. The carne asada was not asada… it looked almost boiled and had a stale weird taste… absolutely nothing like the pictures posted here. I also tried the«tacos al vapor» and all i got was a regular taco with a tortilla heated with steam. Obviously, these people have absolutely no idea what a true taco al vapor is… don’t waste your time and money and skip this place. It is also not kept very clean.

Yum! Just stopped by here after dropping guests off at Disneyland. The family working here are so friendly and helpful. I had a vegie quesadilla and my son had rice and beans. The quesadilla was so delicious! Thick handmade tortilla, stuffed with sauted mushrooms, onions, chilies, and queso fresco and garnished with lettuce and crema. My toddler ate all his rice and tried to feed me the beans, which were flavorful whole beans, rather than refried. Their tamarindo is fresh tasting and not overly sweet. Prices are good. Our lunch set us back eight bucks. The place is packed with regulars, plus lots of take out orders. Their sign says they specialize in steamed tacos. I’ll be back for sure.

After a long day at Knott’s Berry farm, we were in the mood for some comfort food. If you are tired of Mrs. Knott’s fried chicken… then head on down to Juliana’s Mexican food. They have some amazing tacos… it really doesn’t matter what you order here… because everything is great! You can’t really go wrong with tacos al vapor(not fried; just steamed) The guy offered all the different types of meats… I just simplified it… and asked if I can get one each of the different meats. They also have a front patio area that is right in front of the taco guy, so you can get them nice and hot! The wifey wanted to seat inside, which was fine with me… that way you can see what the regulars are ordering. There was a gentleman eating a giant bowl of menudo… it looked good! Two of my favorite types of tacos are, Lengua & Tripas. The tripas need to be crispy… well that’s the way i prefer them, and guess what? They are perfect at this place. Then we saw that they also make quesadillas con flor de calabasitas(tender squash flowers) Of course we had to get one… THEQUESADILLAWASSOHUGE… we ate half of it and took the other half home. The aguas frescas are refreshing especially the horchata. I know it’s in Anaheim quite a drive from Downey. but if it’s this good then it’s worth it! Come see for yourselves.
