Harvey’s Sports Bar

I’m writing this review in hopes that someone from this establishment will care. However, I’m sure it will just be written off or go unnoticed. I just left your bar. The place was packed, you had one bartender and a barback on. Being that this is a local bar but at the same time an industry bar, you might have anticipated a bit of a rush at the end of a holiday weekend. I stood at your bar for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. The bartender walked by me 10 times. She stayed at one end of the bar for a few minutes making sure her guests who had seats were taken care of and at least three men who walked up to the bar after me, one of which was my friend whom I should’ve just given my order to. I’ve noticed this behavior from this particular bartender before. And I know it’s not the way I tip because I always give at least %25. The worst part of my visit was your barback. Every time I go there he is rude to customers and tonight he was rude to me. The last thing I want after a weekend of dealing with rude people is to have rude staff in an establishment where I’m trying to enjoy myself in the company of friends. Especially when that staff inserts themselves into conversations that are not directed at them. This review probably won’t do any good at all. The fact that I will never patronize your establishment again won’t hurt your business. I took your barback’s suggestion and left. I just thought you should know why.

I just left your bar because your sorry excuse of a bartender sucks. I was standing there for 20 minutes waiting to be served while she was serving only he people who were tipping her. She’s stuck up and slow. FYI I was also willing to leave a tip, but you didn’t even bother asking me if I needed anything from the bar so I walked out on your siddity ass.
Learn the process of customer service you asshole.

I’ve been in here twice since I moved to town a couple of years ago. I wasn’t overly impressed either visit.
Both times the place was packed with a younger crowd who were apparently having their first beers and shots.
My latest visit the bartender acted as if he had better things to do then to get us a couple of drinks.

This place sucks. I had just recently moved and was a little down on my luck so a friend invited me out. Out of place from my normal dive, I enjoyed the scenery and met a few cool people. A friend purchased two drinks for me as I sat back and relaxed as he threw himself to the wave of people that he had befriended; as he is a regular. As I’m Sitting alone the bar’s manager appproaches me. He then tells me I’m not purchasing any drinks, I’m charging my phone, I’m soliciting, and I will need to leave. I explained how that was not the case but I see he only intended to cause drama. He made my crappy night way worse. I tell my friend and he just is in denial about the whole thing. So I ended up leaving. I wasn’t there to start any trouble I just wanted to meet people and have a good time. Any good comment for this bar should be flagged. This place is ran by losers and is poorly managed.

THIS was the bar I was looking for. We were staying in Anaheim to go to Disneyland, and may partner & I are not the typical «corporate» bar kind of people, so we searched out a dive bar and landed at Harvey’s (also recommended by the bartender at our hotel). Juke box, pool tables, full bar, locals, most importantly: cheap drinks for the area they’re in!
Have you seen Horace & Pete? Because the old guy behind the counter reminded me EXACTLY of the character in Horace & Pete played by Alan Alada. He was such an a$$hole, I felt like I couldn’t order a drink without risking getting punched in the face. No drink I ordered was ordered in the way he preferred, whiskey and ginger? Yes you can have a bourbon & ginger. Single tall whiskey ginger? «Bourbon Ginger?» he replied, I guess there are no single tall drinks here, nor whiskey. He completely ignored most of my requests and made what he found acceptable. It was fantastic.
The second night we came here there was some psyco chick that had two guys fighting and ended in blows with one guy left with his face covered in blood. I don’t wish ill upon anyone, but I expected to see nothing less here. They wouldn’t call the cops, they just had to kick her out like 5 times because she kept trying to come back in. Classic terrible sports bar, I was a fan.
Last but not least, we got an angry shrug from the Alan Alda angry man when we tried to pay for our tabs together. He yelled something mean and proceeded to put our checks together and close us out.
Why the 4 stars? Well, Alan Alda old man was a prick. But not quite the 5-​star prick I prefer at a terrible bar like this. If 4.5 stars was an option they would get that because of the absolute drop-​dead gorgeous bombshell behind the counter with Alan. She wasn’t our server, but my goodness she was gorgeous and seemed to actually do her job well, not just a trophy server (see what I did there).

This review is on the mixed drinks… There strong as fuck. If your looking for a stiff drink this is the place to come to! Cheers

Sports bar with no food? Not even fried food? WTF?
Get a fryer how basic is that .
Don’t watch a game you might get hungry.

Amazing tap selection. Great music. Cute bartender. What more do you want? Great place.
Also has pool tables dart boards and several TVs to watch sports.
But what makes this place really great are all the cool, down to earth, people who work here and hang out here.

Came here for the first time the other day with my girlfriends and loved it!!! Good prices, GREAT drinks and the bartenders are awesome! We’ve found our new spoy! The only bad thing is the bathrooms are really small but not a big deall!!!

One of my favorite sports bars to go and chill play some pool and have some drinks. Love this place. Drinks are bomb, nice clean friendly atmosphere.

Rude bad phone etiquette.
Called to ask about ppv and she said no and slammed the phone not even thanks bye bye. Guess what you will never see my face nor a dime from me.

Went in here after 3 months to relax and I asked for a michelata and the stuck up bar tender gave me attitude. She asked why I never tip and that I’m rude ! Wtf I haven’t been in here in months ! She then said it was fine don’t tip … I was so confused I know that her co worker was pulling the stings. Needless to say when you ask and beg for tips you seem lame .
You should be tipped on your skills and attitude. You girls suck we miss randy !

I really like Harveys Sports bar, nice environment. But the last time I went the lady bartender blantly said «why dont you tipp?» I come here about once a month or two so I dont know if she had me confused with someone else, but to be asking (or harassing) for tips is rude and unprofessional. It definitely made me feel uncomfortable and didnt start my night well. Had my one drink and left when I normally stick around for a few. Having a rude bartender accussing about money can definitely change your experience at a bar

Everyone is nice. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great sports bar. They have awesome hot dogs. Love it.

Travel all over and love this place. Great staff great service and alot of fun. Will be back. Also great happy hour.

Mary was my bartender and she was very friendly. She was very observant to make sure my drinks were never empty.
I thought that the place was nice, nice crowd. Prices were good. I will be back!

It was a freakin hot Friday, 8÷14÷15 and I needed a place to chill. Asked the lady at the front desk of my hotel if she can find a place for me to go that wasn’t far from where I was because I would be going alone. She found Harveys. Well ok yeah it was before 11:30 am but hey I was hot and alone and needed a cold drink. Not many people were there but the most important person was there… the bartender. LOL. Mary was super cool, she made me feel as if I had been going there for years. She rocked. Jukebox rocked. People rocked. The drink prices really rocked. I definitely will be back and will recommend Harveys to my friends who have had too much Disney. LOL

is a quiet place during the day, a home away from home for the local «older crowd» if you will, and depending on your bar tender can also play into your visit as well, we have two older type vets that have been here 8 years plus one older man one older women, the woman definitely has a bit more puls in her still, thats for sure. The older man is grumpy and makes time pass slow. Then during the evening and night you have your younger crowd followed by the younger bar tenders. A bit livelier and a bit more crowded. Over all, a place you definitely want to start at or maybe end at. You pretty much can drive your own atmosphere here. Yup! That kinda place

Great place to chill and have cheap drinks the only problem I have with this bar is how rude the bartenders are. We’re regulars and everytime we come for 1. the bar tender Nikki horrible only serves men and ignores woman and if u don’t tip her what she likes won’t serve u again and will let u know. And will look u straight in the eyes and just stand there and still not serve u. 2. The owner an old grumpy ass man who also is rude and demands his tips I understand ppl deserve tips but tips are earned not forced! Spent a good amount of money on drinks and demanded more then what we tip him and we weren’t even done with the night! The reason for my rating only being 2 stars if they had better bartenders it would definitely be a 5 oh and they changed there security ppl much nicer ppl the old ones they had all look miserable like the owner (:
