Fantastic sandwiches. I first ate at one in Carlsbad. Much better alternative to the typical sub shops and you get something different.

Well that was by far the best green wrap I have had ever ! The servers were great and so friendly. What a great, chilled and laid back place. Great food and service, I would come back in a heart beat.

Went here on date night recently and my boyfriend loved the selection of beers on tap. They’re definitely meant for a palette that enjoys strong flavor. I’m more a fan of subtle flavors when it comes to beer so my boyfriend ended up drinking both our beers. The sandwich was good with grilled chicken, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and we added avocado. Not a fan of the special sauce but it came on the side so that’s okay. It’s too sweet for me. Would like to come back and try the vegetarian sandwich and get the cherry cider instead of a beer or maybe a Riesling if that’s on tap next time(not a fan of Chardonnay). Loved the décor — relaxed beach vibe. The wall hangings of Anaheim Hills, OC, and California were a nice touch to personalize the restaurant to the area :) Overall I felt it was 3.5 stars for the flavor and my boyfriend felt it was 4 stars because of the fair prices, hence the 4 star rating.

I finally got over to check this place out tonight. They were having a Ballast Point tap takeover and it was packed! Great spot with a really relaxed atmosphere. Food was great, I ordered the Turkado. It was huge, I was hungry and still packed half up to take home. Or rather, the amazing, attentive staff wrapped it up and bagged it for me. Tap list was really impressive. I came for the tap takeover but saw a few other beers I had to try. And the staff knows their beer. I was able to get good information about the beers and each beer was tasty. The service was incredible. I swear I blinked and my sandwich was in front of me. Everyone, every single employee, was friendly, efficient, and fun. It felt like having beers at a friend house. It was a packed house and could have been chaos, but the employees worked so well together and were on top of it. Turned out to be a fun place I can’t wait to visit again. Congrats, you guys are killing it.

Displays never disappoints. I’m glad they have a location in North Orange County. I’ve been here a few times but this is the first that I’ve rated it. I’ve never had a problem with the service and the line has never been too long either. I think the soda machine is awkwardly placed, but I’m there for the beer anyway. I’m a creature of habit so I had my Ceasar salad like always and once again, no complaints. Board and Brew rocks!

I have yet to be disappointed at Board and Brew when it comes to their sandwiches. California delight — I just loved this combination, but could it be because I’m just a big fan of cream cheese? Even though it’s a healthy sounding sandwich(turkey, sprouts, lettuce, tomato) it’s the fact that you want to eat it all in one sitting that puts you over the edge.(This time, I was good and packed ½ the sandwich for leftovers) Beef Dip — mmmmm the horseradish means business here and it’s a tough call if I want to dip it in the au jus to tame the horseradish or use the secret sauce. Best of all, the selection of beers that will compliment your sandwich and don’t forget your Zapp chips

I feel like this place has been here for a while but I never really noticed till now. Came here per suggestion of a friend. I ended up getting the turkado ofcourse based off of all the reviews and such. It is a pretty good sandwich! If you like avocado I definitely suggest you get it. It comes with a lot of it! It’s pretty stacked and filling, thus the price is definitely worth it! Their secret sauce or whatever is sweet. It’s unique but meh I would prefer spicy with what I got. Nonetheless it was still tasty. I wasn’t able to get a brew so maybe next time ! I ended up going near closing on a Wednesday night? It was really empty when I went. But I assume during lunch hours it is pretty packed. So expect to share the community table. It’s good for people that wanna grab food with a friend or two. Large groups I suggest going at not busy hours. It’s also located in a large shopping center near a high school so be aware of the crowds and such during lunch rush. Definitely will come back again and hopefully try the other sandwiches.

My mom saw that a new sandwich spot hit her neighborhood and when we were in town she wanted to check it out. We had a great experience here and the food was delicious. My wife had the turkado and I had the Italian sub. The special sauce is pretty tasty too. Both were pretty large but we were somehow able to scarf them down. I’d love to come back, try a different sandwich and get a beer.

As an alumna of UCSD, I frequented the Board and Brew in SD quite a bit. This one is very comparable. Cashiers were decent, but according to my friend, «it was a robotic experience» lol. I brought my friends here, because they haven’t been before. All three of us enjoyed our sandwiches. My Cali Delight was delicious as usual, but it started falling apart from the very first bite. D: If you’re coming in from the Chase Bank end, it’s around the corner near Jamba

This Board & Brew location is my favorite, to date! The furniture is not only new, but a step up from the plastic, patio chairs at other locations I’ve visited. I like the long, sleek surfboard table against the glass wall, facing outward, offering some people-watching opportunities. The indoor eating area is simple and small, but attractive; there’s also a small outdoor eating area. The staff was very pleasant, and someone was impressively on top of keeping the tables clean. I ordered my first hot sandwich«from the Grill» menu; their Baja Chicken(with a side of their secret sauce, of course!) was so flavorful — perhaps my favorite, so far!

Been wanting to try this place since I live about 5min away. Got the left coast pastrami &roast beef spicy. I also tried the milk, milk, milk stout beer. So much yums! Both the sandwiches were super delicious. Definitely try the pastrami sw with their house sauce! The slight sweetness was perfect with the sw and the peppers inside. Their roast beef also has a good amount of chili in it that gave it a nice kick. Decently priced for the giant proportions! Service was also friendly.

Well priced, good vibe, great sandwiches, and craft beer — winner! Cute little busy place with a small bar and a rockin’ patio. Nice, friendly, and helpful service. A craft beer menu that is not huge, but ample and worthy. I like. Turcado(turkey & avocado) with secret sauce for $ 7.25, what? Great price for a huge 8″ wide roll. While it’s not the best I’ve ever had(bread is a 4.0; sliced turkey is medium cut and they give 4ish slices while I prefer super thin and a mound of it), it was very good and worthy of going back again, and again. What’s in the sauce? Maybe sriracha mayo, maybe not. It’s a $ 10 sandwich at a bargain. — Locations: Anaheim Hills, Bressi Ranch Carlsbad, Carlsbad Village —

I found the Board & Brew is very a very good place to eat. A cute little place that had some pretty good sandwiches. My friends and I have really enjoyed and hope to return to again. I got a very delicious sandwich that seemed to melt in my mouth. The staff here is very friendly and a pleasure to talk to as well. I am very pleased with this place.

I ordered the Turkado sandwich on squaw bread(as requested~ not really fond of sourdough bread in general) with no onions. I was very impressed with the portion and amount of ingredients used, which complimented altogether nicely. Chips(to me) are a necessity for every meal with a sandwich. ;) Their ‘secret sauce,’ however, was a miss for me; which was predicted by judging how it tasted– I’m guessing thousand island and vinaigrette mixed together. *Nice try As for my friends, they ordered: Baja Chicken(a bit too much on the jalapenos) Left Coast Pastrami(was just okay) *Each having different, impartial reviews of their own, but we all agree the free secret sauce being a miss toward our tastes. Service was enthusiastic(*thumbs up!) while finding a table was a bit of a challenge on a Sunday.

I am not a sandwich person unless it’s a panini. I don’t know why, but I’m just not a fan of meat, cheese, and bread(weird). Anyway, someone from Board & Brew stopped by our office and dropped a few menus and some BOGO coupons. It just so happened that they dropped them off right before we were ordering food for some meetings in the office. It was like the sandwich Gods smiled upon us and said, «Don’t go to Costco and get a tired sandwich tray. Keep it local and go to Board & Brew.» We took a shot and it has paid off handsomely. My favorite is the Turkado which is a turkey sandwich with globs of avocado. And it’s not some old half brown avocado, it’s fresh GREEN avocado. We’ve been ordering consistently from them for about a month now and all of our employees look forward to Board & Brew when he have meetings. It’s almost as if Panera, Togo’s, Corner Bakery, and Subway have been thrown out of the equation. Those are fine places but our employees definitely have a preference. I’ve never eaten in the actual restaurant but I popped in once to pick up lunch for me and a coworker. To be a local sandwich place their tap list is legit. Whoever is in charge of their beer list definitely knows craft beer. There’s just so much to appreciate about this place.

— I had the Tuna and it was pretty large. If you’re starving it’s the perfect size to fill you up, if you are sort of hungry you can probably share. –they did not skimp on the guac or tuna like most places do. –ingredients were fresh… –their special sauce is good. –check in for a free drink. –will return again to try a different sandwich. –friendly staff Negatives — there was only one fountain drink machine that was positioned right in front of the line to order. I need my personal space and you are allowed none while getting a drink. :(

Here for the opening and it’s just as killer as the locations in SD. The vibe is still true to the brand: super fun & SoCal feel. We went a little crazy and ordered a bunch of food: Baja Chicken Beef Deep(+ jalapeños) Baja Beef For me, the Baja Beef took the title this evening. So good w/a touch of spiciness. Turns out that they cook their beef and roast beef in the shop! No wonder it is like crack. Don’t half step. They have a patio area also where you can drink beer and wine… we’ll be doing that next time for sure.
