What a wondeerful job Awards by Paul did for the name tags for St. Columban Church in Garden Grove. They were quick and did a beautiful job on our name tags for our Pastoral Council and our Greeting Ministry of our parish. The quality is outstanding and the service and communication can not be beat. My sincere thanks to you all for a job well done that will be displayed every weekend thanks to you all. Exceptional service! I ordered some trophies for my son’s soccer team and they looked great. Everyone was very helpful. I will definitely come back next season or for all my award and recognition needs.

I had Paul make up some medals for my middle school girls volleyball team, since they won the district championship and the district doesn’t award individual prizes. I wanted the players to have something memorable as a keepsake of their accomplishment. I visited Paul’s shop, and he helped me select the design (from among several options), wording, font, etc. Even the ribbon would be done in our school colors. He gave me a written quote, itemizing each charge very clearly. Pricing was reasonable, and turn-​around time met my needs perfectly. The medals turned out beautifully! I was so happy to be able to give my girls something so classy, and just in time for our after-​school awards ceremony. Thank you, Paul! I will keep you in mind for the future and happily refer you to others.

They give the best service ever! We don’t even have to go in. We just email them with our info and they make the plaque for me.

Great service! I have been working with Awards by Paul for a few years now and they never fail to deliver excellent work! They are our go to place when we need plaques, name plates, bases for statues and engraving.

Honestly, I will only write a review when a place did a great job and left me very happy or if it was sooo bad that I took time to let it be known. These guys are the best. Especially Paul. Very helpful, very courteous. Most importantly he knew what he was talking about. I went in looking for a fantasy football trophy with a design in mind. He didn’t have anything in stock or in showroom that I liked so I showed him wht I was looking for. Within couole days he had the best looking trophy I could ask for. Where he went over the top was the double base he found for me to use. even when he went on vacation for over a week communication was still great with his son who was at that point in charge. Definetly recommend this place to anyone needing work done. And for the record I have no clue where other reviewers get that Paul could not be kind or courteous. I talked to him well over 10 times during this trophy and not once was he anything less than amazing !! thanks awards by Paul, we need more family owned businesses like this. I posted also a pic of the most amazing trophy I’ve owned.

Terrible customer service. Hard to work with. Steer clear.

Warning: This guy is a complete nut! I cannot believe how horribly I have been treated by Paul at Awards by Paul. I requested a rush order and was told there would be a $ 48 rush charge, to which I agreed. Late in the afternoon on the day my order was to be delivered, I received a message from Paul that I needed to drive over to the shop and pick my order up. I responded that I was disappointed, since that was not what we had agreed to. It was at that point that the verbal abuse began. Paul’s messages became very aggressive and defensive. He eventually agreed to deliver my order, but acted as if he was doing me some huge favor. He then charged me an additional $ 100 shipping charge. When I complained about the charge and told him I would be Unilocaling about my experience, this was his response:
«you are unbelievable; you ought to examine yourself in the mirror; you sit back with this sense of entitlement that we somehow should fall at your feet and worship your business. And you act as if you are spending your money when in fact it is not your money; get over yourself; we have been in business for 37 years but doing right by our customers, producing quality and great service; and because I wouldn’t bow to your demands, you think I am going to be upset?
Unilocal away all you want; good customers know when they have a good thing.
That $ 100 freight comes right out of my pocket, I have to pay it but it is your freight, not mine, so yes I will remain adamant that you pay it because that is the right thing to do.
I have not lost a customer that I care to bust my butt for that is for sure; you have lost a good vendor, one who is dependable and excellent. So I think you are the one loosing here. So yes, let’s get the facts straight, we don’t want your business nor do we need it; Go bother another vendor with your bad attitude. Maybe they will roll over for you. Good riddance.»
I would recommend steering clear of this place unless you like being randomly charged without warning and then verbally abused if you complain about it.

They even help you in a pinch. We needed a last minute award and they went out of their way to help us find the perfect award and made sure that it was engraved in time for our ceremony! I needed last minute engraving on a plaque and found Paul on Unilocal.I went in Friday morning and spoke briefly to Paul about the plaque and provided the wording. Monday afternoon I picked up the plaque and couldn’t have been more pleased! It looked great! I really liked the font and his layout of the wording. I will use Paul for all of my future awards needs.

I have been doing business with this company for a few years now and my experience has always been positive and the work that is done is always good. This year, however, I was very disappointed when my invoice was $ 60 more than the original quote. It was explained that I was not quoted the correct price, but rather than apologize and honor the quote, I was informed that the price could only be adjusted by $ 16. I understand that people make mistakes, but I’m not sure why the customer (who didn’t make the mistake) has to pay for them. It makes me sad.

Thank you Chris, Gail, and especially Paul at Awards by Paul who have worked with me in the past couple weeks to get my company a clock award for our Assistant Chief’s retirement party this Friday. We received it yesterday (Tuesday), on time as promised, safe and sound packaged in a box within a box nestled within some foam. The award itself is beautiful and the intricate, difficult to work with VA seal looks great! Paul was fantastic with his diligent attention to detail and prompt and friendly communication while working through 5 or 6 revisions and practice runs with scrap pieces to make sure it turns out just right. It was pleasure working with you all!
