Stopped in for brunch. 2nd time here last time the fish and chips and chowder were great. This time had the wild boat burger with onion rings. The burger was great but the onions rings were just okay, with a couple of them not even cooked to the point that the batter was powdery, like there was not enough liquid in them. Also had the spinach omlette which was just okay. Nothing special. The club sandwiches coming out of the kitchen looked good. Ill stick with the fish n chips next time.

Used to bowl/eat/drink here every Wednesday. The new owners have made lots of changes that have taken we old time locals some getting used to. But I’ve become used to them; I do keep forgetting not to order the chicken strips as I much preferred the old way; the new way is more like chicken fingers dipped in a pancake like batter and deep fried. Not horrible; just not what I’m used to and not even close to as good as the crunchy brown chicken strips of my, well, basically entire life. My last experience here was not a good one. I went with my friend, our young teens and her 5 year old for an afternoon of bowling. Ordered nachos and tater tots for some snacks. The cheese served is nacho cheese sauce which I do not care for and I knew this so I ordered with just cheddar. I went into the bar to order Shirley temples for the kids and dirty Shirley’s for the adults. The bartender(new and not especially friendly) would only sell me one dirty and said my friend would need to bring her id to the bar. In the past any of their bartenders would have walked these drinks down to the lanes and checked Id there. Not this guy. Nachos arrive; not much for toppings. I ask our waitress for jalepenos; pretty standard nacho topping. She brought a small dressing cup of them for me; thank you. Ordered one more Shirley Temple that my daughter decided she did want after all. When the bill comes the jalepenos are $ 2. For about 10 pickled slices that should have been on the nachos anyway. Ok; I will pay it. The waitress double charged me for drinks I had already bought and paid for in the bar and carried down myself. Ok I will pay that too; maybe refills on the kids drinks weren’t free. I didn’t notice until we left that she had also padded her tip. I’m a server too and always tip 20% at least. Not sure if she«couldn’t tell» what numbers I wrote or what but the bill was ridiculous and the tip was padded by I want to say 3 or 4 dollars. Not. Cool. This place has some really great dishes and some that are just mediocre. The chefs are mostly Mexican and the Thursday special of various Mexican dishes has been delicious every time I’ve tried it. Hangover breakfast and bloody Mary’s are a must here when you need have greasy food and hair of the dog to Survive the morning after a good time. I don’t get here too often anymore as I’m not on league and getting ripped off makes me pretty mad. It might be awhile before I feel like going back in

We’ve always had great food here. Today we waited at the booth for about 15 minutes with no hello or anything. We went to order our food… which was two orders. My boyfriend wanted to just get an omelet with bacon, avocado and cheese. The server said«what number is it?». We told her there wasn’t just an omelet with those three things in it. She said that«we are wayyyyyy to busy to go inventing new things today, you have to order something that’s on the menu!». REALLY? Wow. Mine happened to be totally undercooked and greasy, I ate two bites and was done. She knew this and still charged me $ 14.50 for my uneaten, undercooked food. A big THUMBSDOWN!

I ordered the teriyaki chicken burger and it was delicious. But my significant other ordered the fish and chips and clam chowder and it was amazing! I’m so happy we found this place! We’ll definitely be returning!

Want good food at a good price? Want good service? Want to avoid pretentious menus? Then this is your place! Nothing fancy, just great food in a nice atmosphere. We met the former mayor on his 93rd birthday… it was his choice for the special day… Pretty much sums it up for me! Plus the prime rib dinner is awesome!

Always loved bowling here. Food used to be good at resonable prices. Not any longer. My 6 year old and I had lunch there. Mini corn dogs(burned) and fries for kiddo and a french dip for myself… over 20 dollars. Charged 2 dollars for a glass of milk for my daughter. Never again will I dine here.

We stopped by on our way back to Seattle from Victoria. We Unilocaled all the other stops in town for lunch while on the Ferry but decided lets have some first and food secondary. What a surprise. bowling was great fun for the kids. Very clean establishment and everyone super friendly. $ 2.75 a game for kids, $ 4 for adults. How do you beat that ? We ordered chicken Caesar salad, a grilled chicken salad, and a BLT. All of the entrée’s exceeded our expectations and then some. Chicken Caesar — fresh green romaine — grilled chicken was super moist. Girls favorite. Grilled Chicken salad — Same great chicken — bacon, cheese, olives, eggs. Boys favorite. BLTA — Bacon was thick high quality. Only bummer was they forgot the A — bummer … Kids devoured both salads before we had a chance to take photos. On the way out we noticed they had one awards for Best 2013– 2015 Trip Advisor for fish and chips — next time !

I am writing this review about an experience from about a month ago, now that I finally have a Unilocal account. Even though it is quite a bit after the fact, I wanted to write about the excellent service the bartender provided that evening. I came in with a group of eight — a work crew in from out of town. The bartender was so accommodating during the ordering process. I’m a server /bartender and sometimes it can be a task to handle a large group flawlessly… and it was not the easiest group ;) But he handled it so well & was super friendly throughout! I have a feeling not all would have been as patient & cheery as he was. He continued to go above and beyond to check on us & make sure we were happy with everything while bowling. We had a great time and I just wanted to commend him on a great job. I thought this was a pretty standout experience… enough so to remember to share it a month later when finally able to! Thank you! PS — I didn’t order food that night which is why there was no mention of that. But the service enough on this particular evening was enough for me to come back and write this.

The absolute worst service greasiest food and outlandish management. Will not accept their mistakes or make adjustments. Got charged twice on debit.

We thought that if we each ordered a bowl of clam chowder we would also share a sandwich with those delicious tots. Well, my husband also got an order of onion rings. They were delicious as was the prime rib sandwich dip. I just heated a pan with a little butter to re heat the tots the next day and they were as crisp and light as the night before. The waitress even sent home some of the au jus for dipping. There was enough for our dogs to have a treat on their dry food.

When you are looking for a great Prime Rib(special), great Steak, or great Eggs Benedict, and don’t care about the décor, because you are looking for good food, this is the place!

Usually at a «combo» business, some of the integrity of each part of the combination is sacrificed in service of the gimmick. That is not the case at San Juan Lanes Bar & Grill. Under one roof you will find one entire bowling alley, one entire bar, and one entire diner with delicious fish & chips. Amazing.

We love the Chicken fried steak breakfast. It’s huge and delicious! You get a crispy chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, 2 eggs and toast. They have yummy desserts to choose from as well. If you’re a health nut look elsewhere, this is not your stop.

Fantastic fish and chips! I actually prefer their fish and chips to Anthony’s. I’ve had other items there as well that were pretty good, but I keep coming back for the fish and chips.

Yum. One of the best plates of Eggs Benedict ever! Slightly smoky ham, eggs poached perfectly, coarsely grated hashbrowns hot and slightly crispy. A plate of morning goodness. It was cold… early morning, so I think the bowling alley hadn’t warmed up yet.

Good ol’ alley. Years ago my grandfather owned a boat and docked it here. The locals told us once(when it was too late for us to set sail and we stayed a night in town) that the best food was at this alley. I doubt this is still true since the town has gotten fancier but the food looked pretty good and people came just to eat. The have a bar and plenty of lanes you can bring your drink to. $ 3.50/game per person($ 1.50 happy hours prices). Half sizes on shoes. Negatives: Medium selection of balls — to find one that fit my hand I had to bowl with a 14-lb ball. The screens are classic — no silly animations after a spare or strike.

My friends and I were in Anacortes for the weekend. We hadn’t planned on going out, but when we saw the bowling alley was 2 blocks from our hotel, we decided to walk there so we could have some drinks and not need to worry about driving. I love bowling, and this alley is the typical bowling alley. I was impressed by the price($ 7.50 for shoe rental and 2 games!). We had a great time and even made friends with our neighboring lane. The cons: Cocktails were a little pricey. $ 9.25? At a bowling alley? Okay… And they closed at 10:30. On a Saturday. But it is a small town, so my friends and I mostly thought it was funny, not annoying. All of the employees were very nice and helpful, and they recommended some places to go afterwards that were still open. We even ran into one of the workers later that night, and he recognized us and asked us to come back to bowl again the next day(we had other plans, but if we hadn’t, we might’ve!). I can’t comment on the food, as we didn’t order any, but the drinks were good. Overall, a great place!
