Mothers is a unique neighborhood bar in a unique area of town. Thanks to its live bands, Mothers is a hopping bar. The home made bar is beautiful and they have regular drink specials. Stop in to Mothers on West St.

I spent two years up the street from Mother’s. I have a lot of great memories there. The drink specials are great and the service is impeccable. When you can, catch some live music at Mother’s on the weekends.

One of the better bars in Ames. It has a real Cheers feeling to it. I’m no longer a regular on the bar scene like I was 20 years ago as a student, but it seems I always bump into someone I know when I go to Mother’s.

I was so sad when I’d heard the Boheme closed, but Mother’s is a great bar. There are pool tables and TVs, great drink specials, well drinks served in Mason jars, and a surprisingly decent beer selection. I have a musician friend who plays there frequently and it’s a good space for a show.
