Empanadas are epic. Pork buns are perfect. Didn’t get coffee but a definite stop next time I’m back through here. Roberto is really nice too.

My sister and I are locals, every Saturday after kajukenbo with our 5 year old boys we like to go have brunch. We always try to keep it local that day. This was our first time trying Roberto’s out and we were so pleased! 1st of all they had cream sweet buns! We went in for donuts and coffee and left with specialty buns, cakes, roasted garlic nuts, and of course donuts. The woman at the counter was sweet and very pleasant. Inside is very clean and spacious. We loved it! It was what we were looking for but had no idea it was… if that makes sense lol! See you next Saturday! We are going to try their breakfast menu

On a whim decided to check this place out since they were open, I was up and wanted Filipino bkfst. Immediately knew it was a mistake. First of all — it was pretty dim in there. I understand ya tryna save $ but a little more light is better to see — or maybe that’s the reason for the darkness. hmmmm Secondly — If a customer walks in the door, get off ya damn phone and greet’em. We said Good Morning first and barely got a response. After a good 5 minutes he decided to put his phone down and come to the counter to help us. Thirdly — do some cleaning. This place just opened up but there was not a clean table and the floors had crumbs all over it. Had to sanitize my own table before eating. Also the chairs were all over the place and one table had either hella mail or hella bills on it. We both ordered the tocino bkfst. Wasn’t anything special and maybe even undercooked. There wasn’t a whole lot of baked goods for being a bakery. The place seemed kinda sad. I’m all for supporting local businesses which is why I gave it a try, but it wasn’t a good impression and I will probably not return.

I ordered two things from their menu: a white mocha and toasted ham sandwich. They brought me warm milk — no expresso, and toasted bread with cold ham and cheese inside. The worst part is, when I asked if they could remake my mocha they were unsure how to make it. Maybe they should just scratch that item off the menu.

Super chill Filipino dudes slaying up some free-trade coffee and home made pastries while serving their community. Smile. Get a pecan puff and a macaroon and roll down the windows on the way home.

Roberto’s was empty when i went in, noonish. brew: organic coffee(brazilian claimed) 1.90 -«moscetti?» tasted a little harsh, smoother later eats: chocolate croissant(1.35) –not flakey at all, tasted like bread –some chocolate taste, –pastry at least 2 days old. 2.5 stars *noticed hopia and other filipino pastries.

We ate here and was bit disappointed. My in laws ordered american sandwich, bread was already tough the bread was toased early and they put sausage the longanisa(pinoy sausage) instead of american sausage links, the fruits was supposed to be included was missing. The pilipino breakfast was already pre cooked so wasnt freshly cook, the egg has no choice on how you want it everybody gets scramble i think that sucks since everyone doesnt like scramble. Its a waste of money try it for your self. Theres other places here in vallejo that cook pinoy breakfast made to order and cook egg according to your desire.

I was so looking forward to trying out the local bakery, boy was I let down. First off, it was 9:45am and they seemed to be out of any kind of donut, all that was left was the day old items. I got one donut, mind you day old(or longer who knows), and it was 1.00. Who charges full prices for old danish? I mean really? Skip this bakery and go to Safeway. I’m all about supporting small merchants, however not going to support a «bakery» that serves old donuts and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months.

Staying in American Canyon this weekend at the Doubletree next door to Roberto’s. Wanted to be adventurous and try something we have never had before and Roberto’s did not disappoint. I ordered the Filipino breakfast which included the garlic rice – yum! We also bought the Hopia’s(Mongo) and they were delicious. The owner was a sweetheart.

I like the homely feel of Robertos. Ordered the garlic rice with tocino. It was delicious! The garlic rice had a good garlic taste without being overpowering and the tocino was good. Also, the eggs were cooked to perfection! And it came with a cup of coffee! If you’re looking for a meal like home, this is it.

I love their Ube Hopia!!! Super delicious. My only complain for this business is that their hours aren’t consistent with the online hours posted here.

First off, Roberto is adorable. You can tell he is there a lot. You kinda root for the guy… The pastries were delicious. Coffee wasn’t bad. Nothing to write home about. Not a bad place to stop for pastries and coffee.

I ordered a sandwich for about five dollars. I got an egg, a couple slices of value packaged lunch meat, and A slice of processed American cheese singles, and square sandwich bread. I guess the bread is baked there, but my five dollar sandwich tasted exactly like something that could be thrown together in seconds from cheap ingredients. Except that they didn’t have any mayonnaise. They only sell probably a handful of sandwiches per day and they had no mayonnaise.

YES! On a weekend trip to Napa Valley with the girls, I booked us at the Double Tree hotel in American Canyon. On our last morning there, I was dying for a cup of coffee. I Unilocaled the nearest place and found Robertos. Lo anSd behold, it was a Filipino bakery! I excitedly jumped out of bed and exclaimed that I was going to get some Siopao for breakfast! The girls immediately changed out of pajamas and we took the five minute walk over. What we found felt like a trip to my mothers house for breakfast! — Coffee: eh — garlic fried rice, tocino, and scrambled eggs: delicious! — Siopao: The BEST pork siopao I’ve ever had! so good that we ordered some to pick up later in the evening for the road home! — Hopia: Fresh ube hopia hot from the oven… amazing! — Pecan tart: Fresh and better than the ones you get from the Philippines! I loved this place… I would have never found it if I didn’t need my morning cup of coffee and my Unilocal app!

Food: Ordered garlic fried rice, scrambled eggs, and tocino. The garlic fried rice was the only thing that was good and hot. The eggs and the tocino were cold and mediocre. The place was clean. Would I go back there again? Uhhh, no.

Found this place cuz of Unilocal and put it on our must-stops for our Napa trip. We arrived after the morning rush(10a) and picked up some coffee, red bean hopia, chicken empanadas, and a last-minute«tuxedo» coffee. Their regular coffee is really good. Great flavor and absolutely not the donut shop stuff that’s been sitting on the burner. It’s nice to know that you can get a good cup from a mom-n-pop while avoiding Charbuck’s. Next, the hopia. Howee I grew up eating this stuff and Roberto’s, I gotta give it up to you. This is as good as it gets. Crust that’s so flaky my gf and I were calling it f-f-flaky and it’s got a nice crunch to it. The filling is just right. Not too sweet not too blah. Empanadas… Freakin’ yum. Loved the freshness of the chicken and the peppers were a nice touch to the filling. Crust wasn’t overly greasy and just a handful of heaven driving up Highway 29. Then the Tuxedo coffee. I had no clue what that was, but my gf guessed it was black and white chocolate. I don’t usually go for flavored coffees but this was a near religious experience. This is tuxedo cake in straight liquid form. It’s hot, and chocolatey, and cakey, and just pure magic. Now I have a dilemma. I need to get my Roberto’s fix more often, but I live in SoCal. Boo. If you love good down home Filipino baked goods and good coffee you have to experience the magic they’re making at this local gem :)

Came here today(Sunday at 330pm) and Unilocal said they were open until 8pm. When my mom and I got there– of course, they were closed. There was a piece of paper taped to the door, Sunday hours 7am to 2pm. It would have been helpful if Unilocal had the correct info. Found out about Roberto’s from 3J’s Oriental store in vallejo. I gave thrree stars because of their hopia. I’ve been wanting to try their hopia baboy and it was delicious! Mom wanted to see what else they offered but was disappointed because they were closed. Boo! I guess we’ll make another trip out there when they are open.

Nice to have good coffee available in Am. Can. other than Starbeezees… The pastries are good just like the coffee. They serve Moschettie coffee, which is local coffee roaster, which I have yet to visit. The place does offer a free wifi and the password is on the board. The décor could use some updating and so could simple things like the cups the coffee is served in. The service is a little slow, but friendly and helpful. In my opinion, they could maybe present the pastries a little better, but they are good! Give’em a try!

If you are going to the Napa Wine Country then on your way there you will want to stop at Roberto’s on your way to take along some great Filipino Bakery goods. The Hopia is the best ever and the flavor just melts in your mouth. Tell Roberto Pastor Curry sent you
