Not many options out in Amboy to eat, nicks is a cool place to stop in an grab a beer. We stopped in Sunday for breakfast after ordering our food it took over an hour to get it, the waitress was really nice but we have know idea why the order took so long, by the time we got our food we were so upset it wasn’t even enjoyable. We will not be going back for breakfast that completely ruined it for us ;) make sure to Always look over your check, every time I’ve been there they have added drinks or food I never ordered or given me someone else’s check. I’m sure we will go back for lunch it’s a nice ride out on the bikes and a good spot to stop to grab a beer & a sandwich:)

My wife and I went there for prime rib Saturday night. $ 23.99 for 10 oz cut. Ordered it rare got well done. It was at 5 so we asked waitress. She offered a desert. Found out loaded bake potato is $ 1 extra. Since reopening prices have increased a lot. Don’t mind paying for good meal but what we were served was really bad and really expensive. Been long time customer there and things are not the same. Couple came in after got prime rib and looked like it was cooked perfect… Maybe hit and miss. Last two times there were just awful dinning experience. I’m sad

This is just about as badass as Northwood in Battle Ground. This truly is more badass than any other place around Amboy and Yacolt. Kinda the only restaurant around here where I live. I ALWAYSALWAYS come here every time we go out to Yacolt. Best damn place on the planet earth! This place makes me feel SO happy to be living in Yacolt.

This little stop in the road has come a long way. New ownership/management is doing a great job in building the place up. We made it our destination yesterday for a Sunday bike ride. Attention all riders: This is the place to stop! It’s a beautiful ride from Vancouver, and the return trip can be on a different route. Our server was a sweetheart, the food good bar grub(Don’t miss the Logger Dog), and the beer was cold. Nice draft selection and full bar. They have the support of the locals, and we’ll be back on our next ride too!

Nicks ‘s started serving breakfast a month ago. The food is like they have been doing breakfast since the dawn of time. I had the chicken fried steak with country gravy. Real country gravy with chunks of sausage in it. Breakfast here is a home run. I will be back.

So I had four Coors lights… next day $ 190 taken from my account to this shithole??? Yeah never returning. Adding $ 170 to the tip for shitty service isn’t my idea of a good place.

Since reopening, it’s not nearly as good. The portions are way smaller, the service is slower, and the prices have increased. I hope it goes back to how it was.

A bunch of us from work decided to go bungee jumping a couple weeks ago. As we were all leaving, alive, we asked where a good spot to grab some food and drinks would be. Megan told us, Nicks in Amboy is the best local spot. So the caravan of cars drove down there and grabbed a spot in the gravel parking lot in back and walked inside. Seems pretty typical for a bar in this location. After reading a few other reviews, it seems like this place has been here forever and probably a popular spot for bikers. We had 13 people and while the back area was reserved for a birthday party, there was enough room along a wall by the pool tables. We’re not picky people and it worked out great. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place like this. But they were quick to start proving me wrong in all categories. First, our waitress was on it for drinks and within a couple of minutes, everyone in our group had waters or beers in hand. Not bad. Several minutes later, our orders were in and we were all re-sharing our stories of jumping off the bridge, what it felt like, etc. The place had three pool tables and that kept us busy for a little bit while the food was cooking, which didn’t seem to take too terribly long. I started seeing food come up and got ready to dive in. I ordered the sampler platter because they didn’t have any chicken burgers on the menu. They had a couple of sandwich items, but nothing caught my eye for whatever reason. The beed burgers I saw come out looked insane though and everyone seemed happy. My sampler platter was great and came with a side of marinara and ranch. Overall, everyone seemed happy with the food and that’s pretty solid in my book. If you’re bungee jumping anytime soon, I would suggest this place to anyone, if you make it out alive, haha

Really hit or miss I’ve been going here since I was a kid. now almost 30 and a little more traveled… it’s bar food if its not deep fried… well. burgers are ok… Amanda and ed are awesome… the pony tailed brown haired lady that looks pregnant is a awful hostess/waitress rude never comes back to refill drinks. ordered food 30 minutes before kitchen closed drove 30 minutes to get it… keep in mind starving… she didnt even put the order in! Then blamed me for driving down when the kitchen was closed even tho I ordered it to go while the kitchen was still going… we will not eat here when she’s working… also watched her go from trash from floor to touching her face straight to making drinks and serving food without washing her hands she is gross and rude.

Went for a scenic Clark County ride today. We stopped at the«World famous Nick’s» in Amboy. Amboy is as rural and rural gets. Out in the Sticks one might say. Nick’s has been around since 1951 and for many years a Loggers bar. It is since gravitated towards a family and biker oriented bar and grill. On any sunny weekend, Nick’s will be packed with bikers. Now, don’t freak out when I say bikers, because we bikers are people too, and are some of the nicest and helpful people you could ever meet, Nick’s knows this and welcomes us with open arms. And if you happen to be at Nick’s the same time as many bikers, you will never be safer! The front of nicks is all Motorcycle Parking, with a nice big lot on the side for cars, trucks, and tractors. The insides are clean roomy, homey and a bit dated. They also have a large dance floor and a nice stage for bands. In the men’s room, the exposed bricks have graffiti on them, some from local biker clubs, but, there is NOPROFANITY, it’s mostly«so-and-so was here» type of thing. There were some old regulars sitting at the bar area(it was before noon) and they greeted us with smiles. My friend and I decided to sit by a side window seat where we had a nice view of Cedar creek lazily flowing past Nick’s. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, she brought us menus and told us about the special, a Jalapeño Bacon Burger with Pepperjack Cheese. I love me some heat in my food so I ordered the special. It came to us quickly with some nice hot fries. The burger was good and perfectly hot, spicy wise. It was a decent meal for the price of $ 7.95. If you love to ride and love to eat, Nick’s is a great ride destination.

They have WiFi. It’s a dive bar and I will always go when I am in town considering, is the only bar that is in town. The food is so-so but what impressed me was that they had WiFi. Really? Nick’s? The servers are pretty cool and the people in the bar are pretty welcoming.

I just went to Nick’s today and OMG it was GOOD! I had their bacon burger with pepperjack cheese. For someone who rarely orders a burger I was expecting just a burger… but this was not just a burger… it was the best burger I had ever eaten! I could hardly keep it off my lap. The fries were excellent and the server was great too. It was just one of those days where I didn’t care about the calories and boy oh boy am I glad I picked this place to divulge in such a meal. My friend had a BLT and she enjoyed her meal as well. Get in there and try some good food!
