Dairy Queen Altoona

Decided to go in this DQ one evening for a quick bite to eat for dinner. This location is close to our home and I didn’t feel like running down to the other side of town where the other fast food places are located. I ordered a burger basket with an iced tea. Surprisingly, the burger was fresh and delicious. The fries were piping hot. I thought to myself, why don’t I eat here more often? The food is good, it is very close to home, and it is very reasonably priced. I think this DQ may move to the top of my list when I need something fast and don’t want to cook. The service was great too with all the people working the counter being very friendly.

Although DQ is not my main to go place for ice cream, I stopped in here at night once just to try something different. I’ve eaten at many DQs around the country and this one is pretty much the same as others. Staff members in my opinion are always friendly at DQ, maybe it’s being around ice cream that makes them happy.
This is the first location where I tried actual food from DQ, their burgers are okay, but nothing to talk about. Their ice cream as you should know are pretty tasty and would satisfy your ice cream craving.
Only downside to me is that it is located farther than the other restaurants in the center of the city of Altoona.

Went here over the weekend for a quick trip to the restroom, but once I got in I sold and had to get something. Had to get the Original Orange Julius its been ages since I had one, along with a grilled chicken sandwich both of which was as good as I remembered. Customer service was on point and food came out quickly. Definitely going to try to come back to this place next time I am in the area.

This is the best Dairy Queen that I have ever been to! The pumpkin pie blizzard is to die for. The service is outstanding! It was the first time I’ve been to one in quite a while, so I walked in Sunday evening, the place was packed. I had no idea what to order. Fortunately the cashier was very helpful and asked what I typically like to order with my ice cream. I gave her a few of my favorites and she quickly recommended the Pumpkin Pie… it was AMAZING… just like a pumpkin pie, it was so creamy, and the cashier also told me that they used Low Fat ice cream. i felt even better eating it
I will definitely return to this location because I received such friendly service and a delicious dessert!!! Next time I’m going to try the blizzard with butterfinger and snickers!

Most people love DQ, tho the eats are good, this one can really frustrate me!!! I ordered pork tenderloin sandwich and requested the works on it… what I got was mayo, tomato, thin piece of lettuce… ewww…doesn’t this belong on a BLT??? My idea was mustard, ketchup, pickles, and onion! So if you order a sandwich, be very descriptive of what you want. NEVER am I even asked if I want lids on my malts, blizzards, etc., they just hand it to me and look disturbed when I ask for lids and a carrier. Excuse me, I am the only one in the car… do I look like I’m gonna eat all 3 now… and how the hell am I gonna steer??! AND what really angers me, as soon as I pull up to the window I am handed whatever type of icecream dish I ordered, while I am forced to wait 5 – 10 minutes while they cook the food I ordered, so like tonight, by the time I got home, the blizzard was melted and the smoothie was almost warm. This is NOT a one time problem!!! If they are going to hire school age children to work their franchise, they need to give them proper training!!!
