Nothing fancy, but food is delish! My faves are the huevos Rancheros and their(street) tacos… just meat, onions, cilantro, yummy with their salsa. When weather is nice, very pleasant on outdoor patio.

Next time I plan to visit an eatery for the first timeI will check on Unilocal first. Tried their potato taco on a Tuesday. Bad idea. No meat only mashed potatoes w/tomato and lettuce. W/plenty of hot sauce made it palatable. Otherwise Yuuck. Guess I can’t fault them too much however as I asked server what it was and she did say potato. A bit much for 2 bucks

Found a huge bone in my chicken taco. I guess I’ll be sticking with the bean rice and cheese burritos from now on. I could have choked and the lady at the front was so rude.

I really wanted to love this place because good authentic Mexican food is a rarity in these parts. I tried the huevos rancheros and they did not disappoint UNTIL I found a hair in my food. Call it bad luck, an accident etc. but a hair in my food is a definite deal breaker. Where a dam hair net people! I really wanted to love you ranchero. one star for great service, another star for effort. Would have been a five SMH

My go-to spot for Mexican food. Love the food, love the salsa, love the guacamole. The potato tacos are an awesome entrée for vegetarians. Great quality food & really friendly workers. I go here all the time. I really really want to give this place a 5-star rating, but there have been a couple times when my takeout order was messed up. Being the one who usually picks up food for my entire family, I wouldn’t normally check every single item before I got home, and being a vegetarian there was one occasion where I had to go without dinner & hand it off to my brother because of a wrong order. My bro was happy for the extra food, but I can’t get over that one time I didn’t get my dinner. On another occasion I had missing rice and beans. But I’ve been here so many times, and have had so many good experiences, that it makes up for those couple of times. I just always check my takeout order before I leave. If they were consistently accurate they’d be 5 stars for sure! Overall, the food is always delicious, salsa is always fresh, and I always seem to crave their food again so I keep coming back. I would definitely recommend them for great authentic tasting Mexican food.

Pros: Delicious food. Nice booths. Friendly staff. Fast service. Are accommodating to vegetarians(just ask for no meat). Nicely decorated for Christmas. Cons: Loud, obnoxious trance/hip-hop remix music that is headache inducing. Not environmentally conscious because styrofoam cups, no recycling, and plastic utensils even for dining-in. Salsa spiciness should be labeled. Frontline staff not knowledgeable about menu items and ingredients(although she’s very friendly).

The bean and cheese burrito which my son loves was delicious I had the Cucamonga burrito with the beans on the side also very good my husband had the menudo very good as well we’ll definitely be coming back. Pricing was fair too for the size.

My son and I decided to give Ranchero another dine in try the other afternoon. Much better! The rating went back to A and the 6 of 7 tables were cleared of plates and wiped down. The Ranchero fries were awesome!

Prices are pretty decent and food is not bad. It’s around the corner so it makes a great place to go at almost any moment of the day. Nice group of people

I love this place. Their Cucamonga Burrito is fantastic. It comes with the works including Guacamole and sour cream. Free chips and homemade salsa are included even on orders to go.

Great place to go for steak fries, tacos, Horchata, and Menudo. HOWEVER most people like to have Menudo after a late night out to help recuperate but this place runs out of Menudo way to early in the morning(happens way to often before 10am), I think the owners should consider making more batches on Saturdays and Sundays because people will buy it! Also the staff could be a little more pleasant, for a better customer service experience.

Stopped by the other day thanks to the recommendation of a friend. Ordered a carne asada torta. Girl at the counter was nice and friendly. First thing I noticed though was that she did not wash her hands when she went into the kitchen. I work in the food industry as well and the first thing you should do when you get in the kitchen to help prepare food is wash your hands. The reason for the two stars, however, is that the carne asada was so dry and hard, I didn’t enjoy it at all. I couldn’t even finish the other half because the meat was just TOO dry and hard.

The wet burrito combo(burrito + soda) is $ 7.99. The burrito is pretty good but if you don’t like spicy, be careful… there were some parts that had an extra kick. I also tried the 3 tacos plate that comes with rice and beans(#1). I really liked their rice and I’m pretty picky about Mexican rice! The tacos didn’t come with cilantro or onion(but this could be because someone in my group ordered it like that). The tacos were packed with meat. The salsas are better than most. Staff is friendly, restaurant is clean and lots of parking available. The restrooms were dirty so don’t go in there unless you really have to.

I stopped in for a bite to eat before an evening game of kickball(yes, I play kickball). Anyway, I went with one of their ‘NEWMENUITEMS”; the Ranchero Bowl. The bowl is beans and rice, topped with your choice of meat(I went with chicken), cheese, pico de gallo(an onion, cilantro and tomato mixture), guacamole and sour cream. First off, all of the ingredients that go into this bowl taste good on their own. The guacamole has the great taste of freshly liquefied avocados. The pico de gallo also tastes very fresh with slight hints of spicy Serrano chiles and a slight tanginess of lemon to it. The beans and rice taste homemade. Lastly, the chicken, which is slowly cooked in a sauce of spices, is wet/juicy, chunky and very flavorful. Put all that together with cheese and sour cream and you’ve got one darn good bowl of food. On to the salsa bar, where they have four offerings: The«chunky red» salsa is full of flavor, where the cilantro and onion shine through. It is a little on the salty side, but the complimentary chips they give you aren’t overly salted so together, they taste good. There’s also a very tiny spice to this salsa. The green salsa is slightly spicy with a nice tartness to it, which has to be from the tomatillos blended in(as is traditional with green salsas). The red salsa is just plain hot! It has that HOT to it that sneaks up on you only after you’ve been tricked into putting a good amount onto your chip and it’s too late to turn back. BAM! This hot will stick on the tip of your tongue and bite it more than you’re able to bite into your burrito! Lastly, the orangish-pinkish salsa is the most deceiving of them all. It looks«cute» compared to the other salsas, but beware, it has a very, very dark side. This salsa(which must get it’s orange coloring from habaneros) has the kind of hot that invades your mouth and storms your tongue like the soldiers at Normandy, only to set up camp in your throat, where bombs keep going off constantly and all you can do is wait for relief. Seriously, it is a hot that sticks around in the back of your throat. It’s also the thickest of all the salsas. Overall, my first visit was great. I was greeted with a smile, didn’t wait too long for my food(waited about 8 minutes) and I was totally satisfied with the amount(and flavor of the) food I got(that huge bowl was under $ 7.00). I’ll definitely be back to try some more things off the menu.
