Oh no! My husband and I headed over to Jimmy’s last Friday(Nov. 7) for breakfast, and they’re closed! I hope this is only temporary. :(

its sad to report that Tom the owner of Jimmys had a heart attack about 2 weeks ago and passed on, so Jimmy’s has closed there doors. Tom and his co owner tried but its over. Tom RIP

This is my «go to» place for breakfast! It is reasonably priced and the food is so good. To be honest, I haven’t tried anything other than breakfast, but my father-in-law raves about their fried chicken.

We had such a great experience. The young man who greeted us was so friendly. The waitress was attentive, even serving plates out of reach of my little one. The food was yummy and plentiful. So glad we stopped in!

This place sucks. Jimmy himself didn’t want to make the meal right or comp any part of the bill. Don’t do it!

I’ve not been back very often, but when I did, I tried the Eggs Benedict again. It was much better than the first time, which was in the early days of the restaurant. I now think this is a good restaurant for Alpine to have and I hope others give it a first or second chance.

This place is such a great candidate for the tv show«restaurant impossible» That will be the final time I use the word great to describe this place. Their was 4 of us that walked in about 12:00 ready for lunch. This restaurant was not staffed properly. I don’t need to work in the industry to know someone should be up front at all times to welcome guests. I knew right then I would not be back. We were seated and had no menus for a good 5 or so mins. The bus boy came by and finally greeted us and asked what we wanted to drink. He was sort of a pompous ass and was catty and a little sour to my request for water and 4 menus. The service was very slow and the waitresses kind of dragged their feet where ever they went. I’m used to places that hustle and want to please their patrons. Our food came to the table(not all at once) and it wasn’t especially good. Thankfully, the only ok thing was it was served warm. Didn’t really make up for the fact that most of the sandwich bread we all had was soggy. Let’s be real. This place needs leadership and a new *fresh* menu. Hopefully they get it right in the future. I however don’t recommend this joint to anyone.

Terrible experience. Where do I start. First it took a few minutes for anyone to notice us when we walked in. The service was atrocious. We had to ask for straws, refills, menus, placemats, silverware. Not even at the same time, but over several minutes because they could not catch on. The humor was to tell customers ‘no’ when they asked questions, promptly followed by a weak laugh and a ‘go ahead.’ It was awkward and unprofessional. The restaurant was insanely messy. Food and used napkins everywhere, and nobody cleaning it up. The food was horrible. I got a sandwich with chicken and melted cheese and avocado. Absolutely zero flavor and the bottom piece of bread was soggy as if it was sitting for a while before being brought out. I’m pretty sure the chicken– or whatever was on my sandwich, was frozen. I won’t be returning. Ever.

Not a fan! They don’t keep normal business hours, sometimes on Sundays they close at 2pm, during the week they will close at 7pm. The hours sign says open till 9pm. Food is not good and service can be rude and slow. Lucky for them it is not busy as they have maybe 10 parking spots total.

Good restaurant… Great service, good prices, good food. Nice variety on the menu. Steaks are probably their strongest dish.

We’ve been here three times since we moved up to Alpine. Each time the service and meal has been great! The prices are also very reasonable. For the money it’s a great value!!! Love Jimmy’s! We will be back for sure.

Their Breakfast is served all day and is always great. Owners Tom and Marta are two of the friendliest folks I’ve met. They did have problems when they opened — everyone had watched for months and months as they fixed up the building to occupy it, and they were just overwhelmed by the town’s response. To anyone that went in the beginning when they first opened — Give them another try. They are so willing to please, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. (PS — Coffee is better than Janet’s!)

The food was not good at all. The service was fine and the servers were nice, but the gravy and biscuits came out cold and the Eggs Benedict was not even worth trying. The Hollinday sauce was curdled and greasy. I sent the entire plate back. The owner then came out with a sample of the canned sauce that they buy with the explanation that they sometimes over heat it causing it to curdle. No thank you! We will not be back!

Second visit, not as good as the first… This morning was our second breakfast at Jimmys. While the staff and the ambiance are still nice, the food was S-L-O-W, cold, and delivered to another table before we got it. Nothing-and I mean nothing-came out of the kitchen for the 25 minutes that we waitied for our breakfast. The owner spent the entire 25 minutes sitting at one of the tables chatting with someone – maybe he was the one cooking today? Then, we heard plates banging like crazy for several minutes before we were finally served(but not before someone else got our order before we did). I figure we’ve had one good experience and one lousy experience, so the next time will determine if they get added to our regular rotation.

Traditional family style restaurant with good food and a very comfortable, friendly atmosphere. My wife and I have eating there regularly since they opened. As a new business they had a little bit of a rocky start but they really want to please their customers and provide a quality product. Very nice!

Yeah… new to Alpine and won’t be lasting long. Nice wait staff — but the food and the wait sucked. The wait… about 20minutes for breakfast(after ordering that is). The food — horrendous. I didn’t finish my meal. One waitress, one cook, one lady who appeared to be an owner, and about thirty people to serve at 11a. The sausage was cold, pancakes hard and horrible tasting, the eggs were hard, crunchy, and came with the wrong cheese, the hashbrowns were alright. The water was served out of a hard water faded pitcher. The waitress could be heard yelling at the cook. Yeah — no thanks. Can’t wait to see what they put in there next~!

Terrible. Simple as that. Went there when they first opened and had a house salad and the lettuce was half brown. My dad had a sandwich and said his bread was stale. We gave them another try a month or so later for breakfast and it was no better. I had biscuits and grave and the biscuits were stale. Eggs were very undercooked, pancakes were not even warm, and the toast was burnt. Not only was the food a disaster but the service was just as bad. Our waitress only came to check on us once. The poor woman who owns it was running around picking up all the slack of the employees. Bless her heart, she could tell we were frustrated and gave us $ 5 off our check. I’m not gonna waste my time there ever again. You shouldn’t either!
