LETMETELLYOUWHAT’S REALLYUP! This store is actually a little kiosk on the lower level of the mall. Usually, I breeze by the kiosks because some of the merchants are very aggressive and actively solicit you which is just annoying. I really don’t like being solicited when I am shopping because if I enter the mall,(which is rare), I am definitely focused and on a mission. I stopped by this kiosk simply because of the pretty pieces of jewelry that was on display. The trend in jewelry right now is big and bold necklaces and bracelets with charms. I just love it because the pieces are fun, colorful and creative. The problem here is the pricing. Mall rent is just too darn high so that extra cost is passed on to the customer. Jewelry that I have recently seen at the Arts and Craft fairs is double or three times the price. The bracelets with the charms were $ 40-$ 45, while the same bracelets at the fair were only $ 15. The trend is to layer these bracelets and this can start to add up fast. I just don’t believe in playing more than is necessary. I also believe that when it comes to jewelry, sterling silver components should be the material of choice for quality and durability. The person selling this jewelry did not know what material was used and this is the problem when purchasing from anyone but the artist or creator behind the product. If you just want to purchase a piece of jewelry because you want a durable souvenir or you don’t mind spending extra because it’s Christmas, go ahead. Just know what you are paying for and that there are other options.
