This company was so helpful with the furnishing of my new home. I ordered shutters, rugs, and drapery. Everyone was very friendly and made sure I was satisfied throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend this company to my family and friends.

We wanted wallpaper and I put in an order but said I wanted to speak to my husband first. She said I can pay for it but that it will not go through until I e-sign in the email. I never e-signed and called 3 days later to let her know that we decided not to buy. She said she’d never had a return and didn’t know what to do as they had already ordered the 4 rolls of wallpaper. She said she’d call me right back. The owner Sean called me right back and proceeded to verbally assault me and tell me that he’s not giving me my money back($ 278 for 4 rolls of wallpaper) and then proceeded to threaten me. I told him I would dispute the charge with my credit card because I never e-signed and there is no clause in the email that says all sales are final. As an owner of a business this man has no professional etiquette and quite the potty mouth. I’ve had to dispute this with my credit card to get my money back for a product I never even authorized purchase for.

I have used Classic Blinds and Shutters on two occasions. The first for blinds and the second for drapery. Review for Blinds: 1) Plantation shutters are excellent. These guys make the best plantation shutters I have seen. They open and close in both directions and seem well made and well fitted. 2) Their work on the silhouette blinds was good. Not perfect because on some of the windows the blinds are very slightly too long and so don’t hang perfectly, but generally they hang okay. 3) The service was very good, the installer did a nice job and tidied up properly. He did leave some sawdust on the sill which he should have vacuumed but not a big deal. 4) There was some misunderstanding over pricing and the use of room darkening over light filtering shades in the upper level. I think it would have been better if they provided everything in writing to avoid this confusion. I did think he gave me a bigger discount on the phone, but then forget at the time of billing — I could be wrong — but if we had written agreements this confusion could have been avoided. Review for the Drapes: On the drapes, I was less satisfied: 1) Upon installation the draperies caused the rods to sag because they hadn’t accounted for the heavy velvet drapes that I told them I was ordering. 2) They also incorrectly drilled the mounting points for the rods, and left a bunch of extra holes in my wall. 3) On the first visit they did not fix this and left the home with the holes in the wall which weren’t filled and painted. 4) They also hung the draperies incorrectly so they don’t look symmetrical because the part which goes on the other side of the mount was hung on the wrong side. The company did step up and say they would swap out the rods at no additional cost and fix the damage to the dry wall. However after 6 months they couldn’t find a suitable rod, and so I was left waiting with poorly fitted rods and drapes for 6 months until they came back to me. The company eventually agreed to come to my house to remove the incorrectly specified rods and fix my drywall. They waived the final payment of $ 642 — I was nonetheless out of pocket $ 358 for the bedroom curtain rods(despite giving them the rods back). Basically I lost money, they lost money — it was a bad outcome that could have been avoided if they had paid more attention in the first place. I was able to have Restoration Hardware fit different rods which were higher quality for a similar price. Bottom-line — in my opinion you should use these guys for blinds and shutters, but steer clear for drapery.
