The UPS Store

I have used this particular UPS store extensively in the last year and have been very satisfied. The thing keeping them from 5 stars is the fact they seem to have a turnover problem, I never see the same person twice.
For the most part the employees are courteous and do a great job shipping items. I have shipped several framed paintings with glass and they arrived to their destination just fine. I have shipped boxes all over the place including New Zealand and they did a great job.
It is certainly not cheap especially if you have them pack the items for you, but they do a good job.

I’m almost more mad at myself since I read the (bad) reviews before I decided to go here but since its close to my business I went here anyway. Big mistake! The teller Barbara is probably one of the most unfriendly people that I have ever met. No customer service whatsoever! I came in, as a new business client, to send a package for roughly $ 200 to Chicago and one of the first thing she says (rudely) is that they normal charge for putting some tape on the box. Why would you even say that to a new client that’s about to pay you $ 200 for shipping. Then she mysterious charged me roughly $ 50 more than I was quoted online and when I politely inquired why she again rudely said something like «I only do what the computer says!». While that might not sound so bad, you would have to be there to understand. Her whole demeanor, tone of voice and attitude was from I entered the door to leaving just horrible. If ever one of my staff members talked to a client like she did to me I would fire that person on the spot! I will give UPS another chance but NEVER again at this store. I urge you to do the same! I would give this place zero stars if I could.

If I could put «No Stars» I would. I sent a box to my mom in Nevada and the box arrived with a missing item in it. No one will take responsibility for it. Not the store or UPS. The so called Manager Jennifer, couldn’t have been less helpful. She’s just there to take up space. She’s got no clue what the customers rights are. wouldn’t give me the information on the store owner. Has the nerve to say «why would anyone want your item?» It was a pampered chef baking dish. How do I know that someone just didn’t steal it? This is the most unprofessional business I’ve dealt with. Do they realize it’s a federal offence to break into mail and packages? Well. They soon will! I don’t play this game. Use the postal store over on Farmington! Far more professional than this place

Visited this store today to send off an envelope that needed about 4 inches of tape to completely seal it. I was informed it would be no problem to tape it up, but it would cost $ 1.50 to do it. Are you kidding me??? I feel sorry for the emloyees of this store who have to put up with customer’s reactions for such a ridiculous charge. I took my envelope to the Hillsboro UPS store where they happily taped it up free of charge.
This is what gets me: the owner of this store thinks he’s saving money by charging for a couple inches of tape, but doesn’t see that by doing this he’s driving customers away and keeping revenue away… business 101.

Unfortunate that the USP website says its hours are until 7pm. It’s hard for me to carry a package and a toddler, so I double checked the hours and made sure to make it before 7pm. When I get there the doors are locked and an employee tells me its closed. Apparently it’s closed at 6:30pm and I got there at 6:33pm. All I needed was to drop off a prepaid package that would have fit drop box, but there was none. I was sad, so I called to see if UPS would pick up my package without fees, since their website was wrong. They would not waive the fees, since the UPS stores are franchised. I’m not sure what makes me more sad, planning carefully and not being able to drop off my package or the fact that they wouldn’t do a simple thing (waiving a few dollar fee to pick up my package) in the name of good customer service since it was their fault the website was wrong. If I can help it, I will no longer be doing business with UPS. I like good customer service.

The first time I came here I had pre-​bubble wrapped my item and just needed a box and to ship it. The teller was very friendly but I was very annoyed that he had to charge me $ 8 for packing services. I decided since the guy was so nice I could come back again but next time pack everything myself.
The second time I came back, there was a customer in front of me wanting to ship a book overseas. This time it was girl teller (who wasn’t friendly at all) who told the woman it would cost her over $ 100 to ship it. The woman stormed out.
It was my turn now and I came up with my tiny envelope that only weighed a few ounces, it was the smallest packaging I could find. The teller, who was unwelcoming yet again, told me it would cost $ 21 to ship. OUTRAGEOUS! I immediately left. I went to the USPS on 185^th and they only charged me $ 2.07.
This UPS store is either a scam or the employees don’t have a clue what they’re doing.

This is the absolute last resort place for anything. No one here seems to care about the customers. Every time I go here I end up waiting like half an hour for something that should only take about 2 minutes. The turn over rate on existing employees is probably largely to blame. I could not print anything the other day because they where out of toner? At least that is what I was told. Seriously, if it is not imperative I strongly recommend going to FEDEX/​Kinkos.

I’m subtracting a full 3 stars. The 2^nd star remains due to the aforementioned bubble wrap recycling availability.
The kid working there tonight thought that his UPS driver had more priority than me, the customer, and told me as much.
I’m popping every fucking bubble on the next batch of wrap I return there.
