The Deli Plaza 2

Hands down one of the best places to grab a sandwich or salad when you work downtown. They are very generous with the meat and toppings on whatever delicious item you choose. Always fresh and quick.

I really, really wanted to like this place. The reviews were great, the presentation was decent, it held promise. Unfortunately, that promise was broken. I stood there for 15 minutes until someone asked if I needed help. Once I was asked, I told them I wanted a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel. Pretty simple… until I was asked 4 more times if I wanted sausage or bacon on a wrap. What?! No, no. I stayed patient and made my order again. 20 minutes later, I finally got it. I also asked for a tuna sub which first got made into a wrap and they had to fix it. That took 20 minutes. I was in that deli for a total of 40 minutes for 2 easy sandwiches.
Once I got back to my hotel, I ate the breakfast sandwich. It was awful. Very greasy, the bread was hard and actually cut the roof of my mouth, and the egg was burned. I didnt even know you could ACTUALLY burn eggs. You can.
A little later, we split the tuna sub. Did you know tuna could be tasteless? That mayo and lettuce and tomato could also be tasteless? Me neither. Not until today.
So, my dear deli, please learn to season. Learn to listen and remember. Pay attention to your business. I would love to see your business grow into something delicious and well known. Anyone can cut boars head meats… not everyone can add a delicious touch that sets you apart from the grocery store.

This place is my favorite in town! The best deli coffee, the most delicious wraps, and fresh sandwiches made on the spot. This town needed a joint like this. Owners are so friendly and keep the place spotless.

One of my favorite places in Downtown Allentown. They have a nice variety of bagels and their breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Great sandwiches and wraps for lunch. The gyro wrap is my favorite. All the ingredients look fresh and presentable. They also have a wide variety of beverages. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I’ve been told it’s excellent. The service is top notch. It’s nice to go to a place and see that the employees take pride in their business.
