I used to frequent the Bethlehem location because I lived there and they kicked ass. Then I moved to Allentown. Then I learned about their spot on Hamilton and I said«oh sweet» for the first time. Then I went there and they also kick ass. It’s not hard to find a good bagel in the valley, unless you’re looking other places than Johnny’s. So don’t look anywhere else. Unless you’re driving. Then look at the road. Everything is fresh and the coffee is good, they have good baked things and good cooked things and other things. I also like their pickles. Plus they make little decorations with stuff if you eat there. Kinda like my Mom made smiley faces on my pancakes, but not that.

Would recommend for anyone staying at the hotels in the area. Great bagel with lox, fruit, latte. The crepes looked great too.

Absolute worst service ever. They screw up your order every time. Also, their system for ordering is terrible. You wait 15 minutes at the end of the line, then come and ask you again what you ordered. Done with this place forever!

Great place. The only thing to be wary of are the home fries on their website they say they are cooked in Olive oil. In the Allentown location they are cooked in butter. If you’re like me and you don’t do to well with butter, make sure that you ask, ask, ask! Because the website lies or the cooks don’t follow it.

Good soups and deli sandwiches. I enjoyed the Reuben and the tuna melt. Lots of selection and seems to be popular.

Expect to have your order messed up every time you come to Johnny’s. There is absolutely no ordering system, it’s completely dysfunctional. You tell the employees your order, they hear the exact opposite of what you said. I ordered the Santa Fe chicken salad special today which was supposed to be blackened chicken, avocado, artichokes, cheese. I received a buffalo chicken salad with an array of vegetables, nothing of which was supposed to be on the salad I ordered. You may as well just tell the staff to give you whatever they feel like making, because that is what you will get every time.

Nice breakfast/lunch/dinner sandwich spot. A fast-casual joint; lots of tables and high-tops lining the Windows — good for people watching. Lots of hot and cold sandwiches posted on a blackboard menu above the counter. The griddle/grill cook helped me — pleasant guy! I went with a sausage, egg and cheese on white. The bread is thin slices and still soft and chewy after the toasting(just the way I like it). Service was with a smile, and that goes a long way in today’s culture.

Stayed a cross the street at the hotel we walked around a bit before settling here. We are not Starbucks people. Nice and clean lots of options for sandwiches and breakfast bagels. Reasonably priced. Friendly people to make and serve food. Great window seats to watch the walkers outside. Hubby loved the egg and bacon bagels and latte. I had pumpkin coffee that was ok nothing to get excited about.

–Convenient location to ppl and government buildings. –Bagels and baked goods are very good. –Coffee is meh, but preferable to Starbucks any day! –Sandwiches are good(try the Sherif!) –Salads are ok. –The usual cashier lady is nice and helpful. –The manager lady who usually shows up around lunch is also nice, she runs a tight ship and get’s things done! –There’s one cook who is excellent,(African american) he always cooks everything perfectly, fast and is always nice. –Plenty of seating and always clean. The only complaint that I have really is one guy that works there, he is tall with dark hair and he is always arguing with the other cooks. He slows down the cooking and seems to cause problems in the café. Just be aware if he’s there, he might slow stuff down. Otherwise, it’s a great addition to downtown.

I do not know how the bagels are. But as for the gyro, I must say it is the worst gyro I have ever had. Terrible, meat was very thin, had olives on it and no flavor, on top of being expensive. I will not go back there.

Conveniently located across from the PPL center, this bagel shop serves good food with a relaxing atmosphere. We went when it was not crowded and the food came out quickly. The burgers were nicely done and generous in size. The Jennah’s funky chicken was very tasty, recommended. Two thumbs up. Next time we’ll actually try the bagels.

Better than superb! Friendly staff, savory and flavorful food, fast and courteous service! I got the sheriff sandwhich, the best ever with fresh mozerella, spinach, and chicken(Hot Pannini).

Who knew? Coming through town this morning, we needed a quick bite and decided to grab a bagel at Johnnys. What a great surprise! Big, clean place, huge menu, friendly service. Not only did the food taste great, but was beautifully served with hand carved strawberries and bananas! Definitely not your average bagel place. We will be back.

I LOVE this place. I’ve only had their breakfast, and it’s been so good every time. Their bagels are very good and their portion sizes are large. Not to mention the very funny and friendly staff! Johnnys is worth the trip downtown.

I love me a good Bagel, and Johnny’s delivers. They have a wonderful assortment of sandwiches and salads, some on bagels, others on traditional breads. They also have good coffee. It gets a bit busy at lunch during the week, so get there a few minutes before 12 to be sure you get served quickly. Lots of tables and chairs too. I think they need to clean up their menu. Once I ordered salmon cream cheese and got a big delicious piece of smokes salmon with lettuce, onions and all that. Wonderful, so when I went to order it again, I got the cream cheese. Confusing.

I travel to Allentown for work sometimes and this place is right around the corner of the office. I have been two or three times for breakfast and have always had a great experience. The guy behind the counter, Hector, was always friendly and did a great job on our dishes. The menu is very extensive and the portions(at least for breakfast) are pretty large. I really liked the plain sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich; but I equally enjoyed the nutella crepes. I will continue coming here for breakfast when I am in town for work.

My family and I have frequented the Main Street Bethlehem location of Johnny’s Bagels and Deli for years. So when another Johnny’s opened up 5 block from our house, we were thrilled! Their bagels are always fresh(personal favorites – spinach and herb, poppyseed, and blueberry) and their specialty cream cheeses are to die for(personal favorite – garlic and herb). They have a wide selection of bagels, omelettes, sandwiches, burgers, gyros, soups, coffee, specialty drinks – you name it, this deli has it. I frequent this location almost every week. I’ve never had a bad experience at Johnny’s; the staff is friendly although sometimes during the breakfast and lunch rush they may be a little busy and preoccupied but that’s understandable. All in all, Johnny’s is the best thing that has happened to Downtown Allentown.

Great food, atmosphere, even the customers are helpful. We thought we would spend our money outside the arena on some real food before the game and I’m so glad we did. Great experience visiting this place. The menu is very large and there are so many yummy choices. We will definitely be back
