Decided to check this place out due to the reviews but was sorely disappointed after receiving terrible service. After our drink order was taken, we had to flag a waiter down FOURTIMES. 1. Had to ask twice for pappad that never arrived with our order. 2. Had to ask them for more water even though the waiter walked around the area refilling other tables glasses. 3. Had to flag someone down again to get the check after several minutes of finishing our food with yet again empty glasses of water. The food was good, not the most flavorful Indian food ever, but still good. But the service was like pulling teeth.

Good but not my favorite… buffet had good selections and the bread was brought to table fresh. Raita was missing some more cumin. Wish they had biryani in their buffet but instead they had a vegetable rice which didn’t compare.

I was excited to find out there was another indian food restaurant in this area. However, the quantity and quality of the food was a huge disappointment. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and I only had six pieces of chicken! The chicken was hard and dry. At coconut express they give me double that amount and theirs even tastes better. The tandoori roti here was tasteless and stale. It’s as if they spent too much time on their décor and not enough on their food. I don’t recommend coming to this restaurant and I was very surprised as to why it had such high ratings on Unilocal

I ordered chicken tikka masala with garlic Naan. The waiter said that this was their most popular dish I would say that it’s a 6.5÷10. The rice was very good, and I like the way the household spices of India and cinnamon in the rice it added a very nice flare. The largest issue was: EACHINDIVIDUALNAANIS $ 3! So, if a table of 4 orders Naan, that’s $ 12 worth of bread! Ridiculous! Each person was $ 20! WOW! Update: the next day while eating my over-priced leftovers, I discovered a dark hair in my food that definitely did not belong to me, nor a family member. YUK! Alas, my favorite Indian restaurant is still Our Place in Irving.

So this place is good. Like real good… like yummy in my tummy good. My husband and I have been to Spice Creations a few times and it does not disappoint. Food: I would say our favorite thing we’ve had thus far is their tandoori shrimp. Like what?! It’s nuts how delicious it is seriously. Their chicken tikka is solid, as is their butter chicken. I think personally their butter chicken is better but both are flavorful and delicious. I’ve had their samosas both chicken and vegetarian and I would honestly say their veg is better. The pillowy goodness of the potato is perfect with their chutneys with an added crunch. My husband loves their chicken samosas so it’s a very close second. As for other vegetarian options I have tried, their matar paneer is seriously a star. My husband who is very much a carnivore stated he could go vegetarian if all vegetarian food was that flavorful. And finally, the naan. Go for the garlic naan. The regular is really good but their garlic naan is great. Atmosphere: It is pretty laid back but clean and actually very pleasing to the eye. The kitchen has a solid glass window so you could see what is happening behind the glass. I appreciate the transparency. It’s a very open concept. Service: When the owners are serving, it’s pretty spot on. The female owner is super kind and friendly… otherwise…it’s okay. Not overly friendly but not rude. Quiet and adequate. Price: This is where it lost a star for me. It’s expensive during dinner. I think to get our fill the first time we spent well over $ 50+ for the both of us and we took home very little. But there is a silvering lining and a caveat to this… their lunch buffet. $ 9.99 on weekdays and $ 12.99 on weekends for all you can eat buffet of their greatest hits… yes please. (One time I literally ate so much that I couldn’t eat dinner. We ate at 1:30pm and I didn’t eat again until 10:00am the next morning… worth it!!!) All in all, Spice Creations is worth the hype!

Great restaurant! Has been open for only 1 year and as you can see the ratings speak for itself! Food is of excellent quality and the décor is modern– very different than most Indian restaurants I’ve been to. And the music is Indian but just instrumental, which is relaxing and pleasant. Buffet is $ 12.99 on weekends but totally worth it. The selection included, curry chickpeas, samosas(& everything to make your own samosa chaat!). They also serve Indo-Chinese dishes like fried rise, spring rolls etc… The food selection(buffet) is fantastic for meat eaters but they do have veg options as well as appetizers and desserts. You also get your own fresh naan brought to your table with additional naans at no cost. All dishes were cooked perfectly. This place is a 5 for sure! Too bad I live a 30 min drive away. Totally recommend if you’re planning to come by the Allen area.

Super yummy! I’m very impressed. I’ve always been a picky eater but when husband started eating more Indian food I knew there had to be something that I would that wouldn’t burn my mouth. One of my now GFF/BFFs is Indian, her mother made us different entrees until we found a plethora of combos that I can handle. The Biryani is my favorite! I love ricey dishes that have flavor without having to use curry. I ordered the Lakhnowe Biryani with Chicken and garlic and herb naan to go. Amazing! My mouth hasn’t been this happy in a while! The aroma from my lunch made my coworkers hungry! And the Raita… Omgs delicious! I will definitely be back!

We loved this place!!! Very nice dining experience, loved the flavors in the dishes we had. For an appetizer we had the paneer manchurian, very flavorful and a nice start to our dinner. My boyfriend had the cashew mushroom masala, which has the best flavor of any Indian dish I have tried before, while I had the starter sized Tandoori Chicken Tikka… which also had excellent flavor! We followed dinner with two desserts, which our waiter recommended. Both were excellent and there wasn’t a drop left! We were so busy trying to keep our 14-month old daughter from disrupting other patrons that we forgot to take photos. We will be back soon~ Spice Creations, thank you for a nice dini g experience!

Decent Indian food. Had to ask specifically for naan. It was moderately spicy. The butter chicken was tasty as was the chicken tandoori. Service was meh… Will try again sometime.

Probably the best Indian lunch buffet in the area. The jasmine rice is superb. I could not stop eating the chicken tikka masala. Even the vegetarian dishes were fantastic. This place is a real gem.

We have been eating the buffet at SC for over 1 year now. Today we were so very disappointed. We left our receipt with our thoughts concerning no service and no food. We came at 12:30 and felt odd taking the last of the salad, rice, chicken, fish and cheese dish. We thought food would be replenished quickly but it never was. We’ve experienced this at one other restaurant, but never here. We went back to the buffet 3xs, but the chicken was never refilled. We left hungry and kids were asking for more. Our son who is allergic to nuts also left feeling ill and taking Benadryl trying to feel better. It surprises me I hadn’t written a review before about SP. It would have been 5 stars. We were always greeted, always getting glasses refilled, plates taken, asked about our needs. We even recommended to several friends. Not one of these things happened today. Plates were only removed at the end of our meals. After getting our bill with a price increase of $ 20 confirms we will not be back along with my son who is now vomiting after eating salad, rice and tandoori chicken. Not sure if it’s new spices or cross contamination but too scary to every try again. I appreciate the restaurant’s response to my review. Over a year ago we had spoken to the chefs and was told no nuts or gluten were used in the Indian dishes on the buffet. The Chinese dishes did contain both and felt safe eating there, skipping the Chinese dishes. I have never heard of nuts used in curries or on tandoori chicken or kebabs. Our responsibility of checking with the chefs was lacking and made our son very sick this entire day and night. If this hadn’t have happened we would have still had very little food and drink from the buffet with no service and a bill that was $ 20 more than usual. I have gone thru and read your most current reviews and I see that we are not the only ones that had this experience. We first saw 5 men in the kitchen and 3 ladies on the floor with two managers in 2015. Today it was 1 man on the floor and 3 people in and out of the kitchen. You’re understaffed and customer service and food are both lacking.

Tried their chicken tikka masala, samosa chaat, papdi chaat, veggie biryani, and blackened fish masala. All items have been very good and delivered in a timely manner. Will order more!

After seeing the great reviews, I made it out for a late lunch. First thing I noticed, which is rare, is that in addition to the buffet, you have the option of ordering from the menu during lunch. Love that. Since I was in a bit of a hurry, I went with the buffet, and I found everything to be very fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend.

HOW did I not know about these guys? They are excellent! Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in Dallas and it’s so ridiculously close to my house that I’m mourning the months I’ve spent living here without the knowledge of their food. I grabbed a ton of food for my friend and I to binge on while we hung out and I was very impressed. We started with some Gobi Manchurian(medium heat) and it was extremely flavorful. A perfect little appetizer, and I will say that the medium is a decent level of spice, but if you want to sweat you’ll want to go hot hot. I think I’m going for that next time when my friend isn’t there to whine about it! Then we had Chicken Tikka Masala(also medium heat) with two orders of their regular naan. I do wish an order of naan had more than two pieces, but two orders was perfect for my friend and I. The meal was big enough for us to split, and still have room for some gulab jamun which came as two large doughnut type balls in a sweet syrup. Perfect for one each! Everything was sooooo good and I can’t wait to go back!

This was my first time here. I had low expectations because most places in Allen are so bland, plus this spot has been doomed with everyone else who’s been here. But I was very pleasantly surprised! I had the buffet. The fried items were definitely overcooked, but all of the entrees were good. And some were great. Overall, the vegetarian dishes had the most interesting and delightful flavor. But the chicken was superb. I also had a masala tea, which was excellent. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a good restaurant in Allen!

First time in. Service was good and helpful. We had vegetable curry(Indian spicy) and lamb tikka masala(medium) it was really good. We also ordered plain naan and goat cheese naan… very good, too. I had leftovers, it was enough.

These guys surprised me. I’ve known they were here for awhile however,(out of sight out of mind) just forgot. So we went in for an early dinner one night. No one else but a few take out orders. I was concerned and it wasn’t feeling right. Boy was I wrong. They have great food so don’t hesitate. It’s got a little different take than your typical Indian in a good way. I’m finishing this review based on my second visit. Still good food. They didn’t have what I wanted to order which on a Friday evening is not good. The waiter informed me they had non of the baked dishes listed? There were not many patrons there. I’m afraid they may not make it and I really like this place. They need to figure a way to drum up more business quick.

Food — 5⁄5 Service — 4⁄5 Value — 5⁄5 This is my new favorite place for Indian lunch buffet, but my wife still prefers Mumtaz. I just felt the quality of the food was better, but my wife preferred the wider variety of items and dishes that she likes at Mumtaz. I like that they bring naan out fresh to the table too. Service is attentive but not suffocating and I felt I got my money’s worth without having to eat until I couldn’t walk anymore.

Finally had a chance to try this place out, I saw the«coming soon» sign and couldn’t wait for them to open. WOW, what a great place. Upon entering, the feel is pretty awesome, there is a wall in front of the door so you lose the strip mall feel and can escape into a very well decorated restaurant with a great feel to it. The service was just as awesome as the appearance. To describe this place, I would say Fine Indian Cuisine with a touch of elegance. So next question was naturally, how’s the food? Ordered Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala and my friend ordered a curry Eggplant dish. Everything was delicious, and I mean super delicious. Our glasses were never left empty and they were attentive without being obtrusive. I want this place to stay, it’s a great spot to have in Allen. Hats off, I give Spice creations a BRAVO!
