Refreshed Aesthetic Surgery

I moved from San Diego to Orange County a couple of years ago and found Dr. Miller in Aliso Viejo. I’ve had years of botox and fillers in San Diego. I would usually go in and say what areas bothered me and I’d have that area treated.
When I saw Dr. Miller, he listened to my concern which was a loss of volume in my cheeks. He carefully examined my face and pointed out other areas that had lost volume. He explained the aging process and the options available to help diminish facial hollowness that occurs as we get older. His explanation made perfect sense, so I agreed to several syringes of Radiesse and some Juvederm injected into my cheeks, along my jawline, and an area above my brows.
The results were amazing! Dr. Miller’s expertise is exclusively facial plastic surgery. You may go in to see him for one thing that is bothering you, but listen and consider his recommendations. He’ll look at you objectively with a keen eye for what will make you look your best. I couldn’t be happier that I took his suggestions.

Singularly outstanding! I did my homework and choosing Timothy R. Miller, MD as my surgeon was one of the best choices of my life. In the six years I have been his patient has always been professional, thorough, precise and a good listener. I have had only procedures appropriate for me including Sculptura, Botox and juvederm injections, carbon dioxide laser of face and neck, and my amazing lower face and neck lift surgery. He earnestly listened to my goals before performing my surgery, and when I first saw myself in the mirror in recovery, I saw how beautiful I could be!

Unfortunately my experience with Dr. Miller is not a positive one. I was introduced to Dr. Miller by a friend who was literally transformed. The transformation was amazing. So it was this example that prompted me to choose Dr. Miller.
He did not have such a great per patient relationship but I just assumed that was his personality. At this point, in retrospect, I should have spent more time and spoken with other doctors or at least his associate Dr. Gagnes. I decided to opt for a lower and upper eye lid bleph, face and neck lift and facial fat transfer. I was hesitant about the fat transfer procedure but was told by him that it was the procedure that would make the most difference. I was very specific about not wanting to look overdone and especially that he not put fat in my already very prominent cheeks. This conversation was witnessed by my friend.
Fast forward to my initial visits after surgery with Dr. Miller where he assured me that I did in fact look great soothing my doubts. My face was like a giant balloon especially my cheeks. He claimed that he had put very little fat in that area. So I waited and waited for the swelling to go down. It unfortunately never did. I did not look like me and instead looked like bulbous cheeked overdone version of my old self. The only part that was not done enough were the upper and lower Bleph. He did redo the upper which looked better. As for the fat in my cheeks his only comment was that «some people can win the lottery and still not be happy!» Seriously did he really say that? So I decided to wait and hopefully it would deflate. Skip forward three years and my cheeks have gotten even more bulbous. I am of course very upset. Fat does not go away and in fact according to my surgical records he injected the most fat into my cheeks despite the fact that I had instructed him not to. He injected in my cheeks more than in any other area. Now that it seems to be getting bigger despite my even losing a bit of weight which supposedly should work. My next step was to have thermage which is supposed to melt fat. Three moths after thermage the cheeks seems to be getting more pronounced and now there is unevenness. This Drs lack my of empathy is profound to say the least. In the meantime I am having dental work done and because of the heaviness in my cheeks I can no longer make a full smile. My nose has also become more pronounced and seems bigger. My next step is to possibly to have the fat liposuctioned out of my cheeks. I will begin my search for the right dr. In the new year. I say save yourself and avoid the fat transfer altogether unless you are quite gaunt. As for the rest of his work… Honestly I can’t honestly say that say that for me it was top notch. I have seen better results. But it is his post surgery behavior which was really shocking. So in closing I recommend interviewing as many Drs as possible before making this life changing investment.
Would I recommend this dr. To a friend? Absolutely not.

I had surgery with Dr. Miller less than 2 years ago (eyes, temple lift and chin). I did much research before selecting Dr. Miller, and a few others for my short list. Round two consisted of several consultations with the first round winners. Narrowed it down to two but my gut told me Dr. Miller was the one. My gut did not lead me astray. I could not be happier with the results. I look so much younger without looking like I had ‘work’ done. Dr. Miller is a ‘Facial Artist’ of the highest caliber!

I’m an executive level professional in my 50s that decided to have blepharoplasty (eyelid) surgery done because while my energy level is comparable to my 20s my eyes made me look tired. I did an exhaustive search of professionals and visited several in Los Angeles and Orange County. It was an easy decision to select Dr. Miller. He was professional, competent and well aligned with my goals of appearing more refreshed but not altering my natural look. He’s sharp and articulate, a great listener and communicates in a manner that’s both comforting and confident. I decided to proceed with both the upper and lower parts of my eyes.
I am writing this review having had the procedure one week ago — and typing from a public place. The entire process was commendable, from his friendly and thorough staff through detailed explanations of expectations and an outstanding surgical experience including extensive post-​operation visits. I would emphasize this: Dr. Miller’s attention to detail and commitment to blending skill and taste is remarkable.
It’s still early but the results are obvious. I would encourage anyone who is considering facial procedures to place Dr. Miller on your consultation list. I was interested first and foremost in results and secondarily on the overall experience but did not have to compromise either. Moreover, while I wouldn’t recommend making cost a primary criteria, you’ll find he’s competitive with other surgeons of his pedigree.
