I love coming to this place. The food that I’ve had is always good, and their drinks are beyond reasonably priced. Great service and great atmosphere.

if you have a coupon, mention it when ordering. I was right there when Bill B. wanted to pay. then I had to go back to change the check. then he couldn’t figure out how to get the coupon up on his phone. in the meantime, I had other tables up front whose food was up. but Bill B. wanted me to validate his coupon even though he couldn’t figure out how to get the certificate number up. so I had to go talk to the owner for him. she insisted we need the certificate number. I returned to inform him of this. I couldn’t wait any longer for him to figure this out,(and I don’t touch customers’ phones) so I left to take care of other customers(which I did have, a few other tables came in the dining room after him, and I already had a few table up in the front) I did return to get the certificate # when he finally found it. but the I had spent so much time waiting for him to find it, I had to wait on the other tables. this is what he calls«nowhere to be found» and if Unilocal allows people to say whatever they want, even if they leave out the whole story, then they should let ther server a chance to tell the truth.

We visited this past Saturday night. I only went because I had a certificate. We walked into the bar side first. Had no idea there were two entrances. When we were being seated, there was only one table occupied. I thought that was weird. Big place and it wasn’t packed on a Saturday night, why? I had mixed experiences with the food. My son and I both had the French Onion Soup and the New York Strip. My wife had a chicken sandwich. All these selections were good and well prepared. The French Onion Soup was very good and not too salty. We ordered the Calamari Steak. My son and I love calamari and I should have known calamari doesn’t come in steaks. It was horrible. Don’t waste your money. The previous reviewer says they had the Potato Pancakes and the were great. Not ours, they were soggy, cold and had a weird flavor. Service was so-so. After we were ready to pay and leave the waitress was no where to be found. Definitely won’t be back.

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. They gave us plastic forks and knives and paper plates. The music was strange because they played a melody of one song with the lyrics from another. It was distracting and very load. We waited for a while for our pizza to bake and when it did come, it was okay, nothing special, and we had to ask for stronger utensils because I had bits of plastic in my pizza. The décor was very outdated too. Overall, I was expecting a nice meal with my boyfriend, but I was more than disappointed with the service of this place.

Went here for a friends birthday party. The place was rented out to the party. She ended up inviting a lot of smokers and a good portion of people sat inside smoking because it was cold out. Place seems to be run very wild and is very old school. I did not eat here but after my experience, I don’t think I ever would.

This place is horrible. Rundown & the service is horrible. Went there on a Saturday night only to have what I think was the owner or manager, an older woman, so busy«hitting» on the guys old enough to be her son, that she basically left the bar tender, the only other person working in the bar, high and dry. We actually had to bus our own table and get our own drinks. Her behavior was repulsive not only to us, but other guests as well. We will NEVER return.

I love the owner Teresea! She makes you feel right at home. Very cheap drinks and great service. The food is excellent! They have ½ price pizza on Tuesday too! It’s a great place for or dinner or to hangout. My friends and I really like coming here, Teresea goes above and beyond for us.

I can’t understand why this place doesn’t have a line out the door! Granted it was Labor Day weekend but it seems like our party of four was the only diners. Normally this would make me run for the hills but i am so glad we stayed. Yes it looks like a 70’s supper club but that is part of the charm. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an app and my waitress even scraped the cheese on the plate and put the garlic butter in a container. We ordered a Cesar salad, pizza, sandwiches and the stuffed cabbage roll special. Everything was great! The cabbage rolls were especially delicious — our friend said they rivaled his Grandmas and they were really stuffed full. We will definately be back to sample the Polish Night and are planning to go watch a football game and enjoy their game buffet. I thought the prices were very reasonable. Skip the Randall Road corridor and head on over!

I’m never taking myself or my family to this restaurant again. This place was great about 10 years ago if you wanted a semi-ok dinner for your date. This time, the chicken was dry, the steak was undercooked(not what I had ordered), and the shrimp was pale, grey, and flavorless. The service was horrible, we waited an hour for what I would call crappy food. They charged us $ 2.00 for each soda we drank, no free refills. They had the nerve to charge us for each individual glass of Coke/Pepsi, and it was extremely diluted and didn’t taste right. We vowed never to return.

There’s nothing fancy about this place, but if you are a steak and potato person, they’ve got you covered. I went on a weekend evening, and the place was deserted. So if you like to eat your steak and potato in silence, they’ve got you covered. Basically, if you are a quiet omnivore, they’ve got you covered.

Food was ok, service was bad — but what really upset me was that they charge $ 2 per soda, NOREFILLS… I know I didn’t look at the drink portion of the menu — but the server kept coming by asking if we wanted refills — so we said yes. Mind you she didn’t come by as often with the appetizer, soup, salad or meal — or to even check on us after she served the food. We got charged $ 12 for two sodas(two refills). NEVERGOINGBACKAGAIN.

Great steaks, prime rib, chicken & seafood. Prices very reasonable. Many sandwich selections. Food is all prepared fresh, and soups are all homemade. Salads are made when ordered. Great chicken wings, hot or mild, and made when ordered, pizza made to order, all ingredients are fresh, thin crust is awesome, and as everyone knows a butter crust pan pizza takes 45 minutes, but is well worth the wait. Cold beer, good atmosphere, live music on Saturday nights.

For how long this place has been in Algonquin, I am surprised that there are not any reviews. But this may also have something to do with why it was so eerily quiet when we went there to try half-price pizza night. The only other people there were the owners and patrons that seemed to be friends of the owners. We were greeted immediately and were able to choose where we wanted to sit. We were promptly given service by the bartender(I think she was also one of the owners). She was very friendly and allowed us to look over the menu without hovering. Prices were decent and the menu had a variety of steaks, seafood, chicken and children’s options. We ordered two vodka cocktails and were pleasantly surprised at how generous she was with the alcohol. The drink was well worth the $ 5(Better than any other bar for the same price). For dinner, we ordered the pan pizza with two toppings. We had some time to wait due to the type of pizza, so we also ordered mozzarella sticks and a basket of fries. The appetizer wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. The only odd thing about Wine and Roses was that we were given paper plates for our appetizer and our pizza.(I wonder if this was only because of the type of food we ordered.) The pizza was very good, as a picky eater, I was pleasantly surprised with its taste. I did notice that the sauce used was the same sauce that was given to us with our mozzarella sticks. Our waitress/bartender(/owner?) gave us two $ 5 off coupons for our next visit. I would come here again for their half price pizzas or if I am up for a drink or two.
