Fitness 19

I am a returning member. Started in 2013 loves it. I stupidly went to another gym and over paid. I just re-​joined and I could not be happier with the customer service and facility! Very clean! Every member was greeted with a friendly hello from the front desk employee. You can’t beat the monthly price very affordable. They also offer free wifi! I highly recommend fitness 19 to anyone who wants to take fitness seriously!

I got my membership cancelled in November, so I expected to be billed for December because everyone pays for the first and last month. However, I recently checked my bank statement, and I found out they have been charging me the $ 10 for January, February and March. Seriously, what kind of business does this? I still have the cancellation form. Expect getting a call sometime soon, and I bet this was not accidental.

I live in Texas and my daughter is attending college in Illinois. My daughter is a volleyball player and needs to stay in shape for the season. She stopped by the club and liked the general atmosphere and the responses from Alex (on staff at the time). Because I live In Texas and she is still only 17 Alex needed to get approval. First thing the next morning Tony the Manager, called me and put everything into play. «NO FUSS» at all, extremely professional. She started working out that day, Tony remembered her name and introduced himself and she felt right at home when she picked up her ID. They treated her great!!! This is the club to use!

This gym does not deserve the bad reviews it got! I love this gym! The customer service is awesome! The trainers are great! The people that go there, are there to work out! I belonged to lifetime fitness and it would frustrate me when girls would go in there looking all pretty just to get attention! This place is not like that! If you want to go somewhere where your going to really work, go here! No one here is on the treadmills just to walk and impress the body builder across the room! This gym is great!

I have been a member since late 2008. Great gym, especially for the price. The gym has been recently renovated (about a year ago i think) and is always clean. The owner and staff are very nice and helpful.

To be honest, I felt like I was tricked. Everything was great till I received the final bill. But, overall I still paid a fair price.
You join this gym mainly because it’s cheap but beware the hidden charges. If I had read the Unilocal post of this location from Derek R 2÷11÷2013. I would have planned accordingly to this scheming business.

If you’re looking for a place to see or be seen… go spend the $ 50 a month at lifetime. If you want a gym where you can get it done, then save the money and come here.
Space is not wasted here. Machines and treadmills are just enough apart that you are still comfortable. I never have a problem with access to what I need… though I tend to go after 8pm on weekdays.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There’s no showers, pool, or climbing wall, and that’s why the monthly is so low. There’s also childcare, which I have used, to great satisfaction. The staff is nice and they always remember my son.
After receiving the value here, I will never go to gym that charges more than $ 8 a month.

This is one of the best cost effective gyms that I have ever been to. It is extremely clean, has every equipment needed, and the staff is better than the «high priced» fitness center that I used to go to.
This staff is absolutely amazing from the trainers to the manager. Everyone is nice and extremely helpful from working out to overall nutrition and they make you feel as though they truly care about YOUR overall health.
I have only been going here for a month and I am already greeted with a «fist bump» every time I enter the door. How personal and encouraging is that???
I don’t rate too many establishments a 5star rating but Fitness 19, in Algonquin, is deserving. At the end of the day it is all about how I am treated and how approachable and serviceable their staff is. I would rate them 10 stars if I could!!!
