Colonial Cafe

Food was good above average. The portion can be a little bit bigger though. Only reason to go would be the kitchen sink. Other than that, save your money take your appetite elsewhere where you can get much more and much better.

Staff and food is very good.
Would have been a 5 star but when I called them to ask a quick question I was forced to listen to 5:13 minutes of their special commercials before I hung up and called another restaurant.

Sitting here on Black Friday and the service all rocks! Mel is FABULOUS! Glad we decided to come here instead of Burnt Toast this morning!

We came in on Saturday at 10:50pm (after an evening of hitting haunted houses) and the staff was very friendly, despite the fact that they were scheduled to close in 10 minutes. We came for just dessert and everything was prepared well, unfortunately they didn’t have any brownies for the sundaes.

Best restaurant ever! The staff are all super efficient and courteous. For an affordable family restaurant the food is great! The menu even includes healthy options and they always accommodate any special requests. I take my whole family and grandchildren there and they love it. I hosted my daughter in law’s baby shower there and they were amazing!

Delicious fun place for ice cream. For the adventurous one try The Kitchen Sink! Bring friends!

My wife enjoyed her chicken fried steak and basted eggs. I ordered the pineapple chicken with four cheese mac. The mac was great but the chicken was rubbery. The wait staff was very accommodating and took it off my bill. I would give this another shot based on the pleasant staff and that my wife enjoyed hers.

My go to place when I’m with the kids! Their servers are great and attentive. They are vey kind to my kids and also acomodating to kids. Food is good too.

I will break the meal down into the good and the bad.
The Good — the chicken fingers are very tasty.
The Bad — everything else.
The service was very poor for it not being a busy time. Only one refill was brought to our table of three throughout the entire meal.
The nachos were okay, but the chips were extremely greasy.
The chicken tenders only came with franks hot sauce and a BBQ sauce. I would have loved to try them in ranch/​honey mustard as well. The price was a little on the high side as well.
The ice cream was very underwhelming and insultingly overpriced. Culvers has significantly better tasting products for probably 50% of the price. We ordered a turtle Sundae. What came to us was three scoops stuffed into an old style ice cream cup with chocolate and pineapple. The menu for the ice cream resembled nothing I had ever seen before — our options for the sundae were to get 3 scoops with whip cream or 2 scoops with no whip cream.
If you want to get good but overpriced chicken tenders, this spot will do. Otherwise, go elsewhere and get culvers or even a mcdonalds sundae for dessert.

Colonial Café was great! My family & I decided to try them out for dinner and we were very pleased! After reading reviews about other Colonial Cafés in the area I had to try their Mac & Cheese Bacon Melt sandwich. So I ordered it with fries and an Old Fashioned Cherry Coke. Everything was excellent!
I am giving them a 5 star rating because the food was excellent, the cleanliness of the restaurant was nice, the oldies (60s) music playing overhead was great, the staff were friendly one of which was our waitress Lauren. She was awesome! She made us feel very welcomed, brought us refills without having to ask, she had a smile with a cheerful attitude every time she came to our table, and she didn’t keep us waiting too long for anything.
After dinner I ordered their Caramel Pecan Cinful Pie. It was excellent, too! It was a warm apple pie with cinnamon ice cream, roasted pecans, and a thick caramel sauce.
If we’re ever in this area again, we will definitely stop in for another great meal!
