Same people are opening up another Peet’s Location in Alexandria, right next to the new wegmans on Telegraph and Beluah, currently hiring now, but should be open by end of July, beginning August! Yippee! So excited!

LOCATIONNOWCLOSED: I was so excited when this Peet’s location emerged so close to where I live! Having become a fan of this coffee chain during my travels westward, I expected to be as bowled over as I had been years before. But, for whatever reason, though I tried to give it a go more than once, something just didn’t quite wow me. I heavily disliked the inconvenience of the always crowded strip mall in which the shop was located. I did, however, think the baristas were extremely friendly and helpful; still, the lattes I ordered were just okay, and I found myself pining for the taste of the Starbucks across the street, or my favorite local stop, Grounded Coffee, a few miles away. That’s why I wasn’t surprised to find the store already gone just the other day. It wasn’t terrible by any means, and I feel like they tried hard to impress, but the location was a killer.

Nice alternative to Starbucks in Hybla Valley area. Parking is a challenge. Coffee is freshly brewed. Small amount of seating but in a new strip center and should do well.

While waiting for my stylist at The Hair Cuttery, I went to Peet’s which is right next door. My first visit since I’m a Sbux junkie and I really like the place. It was super spacious and great table spaces for the techies along with free wifi which I can use at HC. It is quite different from Sbux. I’m accustomed to certain things that I have taken for granted. They actually made a drink, which was good, that I had to put the lid and sleeve on myself! *clutching my pearls* I haven’t done that in forever!!! I almost didn’t know how to do it lol. Overall, the place is nice enough to get my business again. I like that they make up drinks and write them down so you can order those instead of the traditional ones. I’ve never had a coconut macadamia latte with whip before. Quite tasty!

Finally a Peet’s in Alexandria. I lived on the West Coast for several years and Peet’s was one of my favorite coffee purveyors. Consistently high qualify beans always roasted fresh and spectacular brewed coffee, especially French pressed. Their business model is to never locate the roasting facility less than a few hours drive from all of the stores, so you know the beans are extremely fresh roasted. This location is no different. While the location isn’t great located in a tiny strip mall and off Richmond Hwy, the quality of their product is still excellent. The venue is also very clean and modern with hardwood floors and comfy leather chairs near the espresso bar where you can relax while waiting for your coffee. Too bad Peet’s isn’t located closer to Old Town Alexandria, else it would be a necessary stop on my daily grind. Instead I’ll have to settle for a delicious cup of joe at M.E. Swings instead for now.

Gone. They’ve close for business for good already. A real pity, it was nice while it lasted . So very glad that you’ve opened up. The service was great, fast and friendly. Treats were super fresh. Very glad too that you are open at 530 weekdays and 6 on weekends.
