I’m posting because I’m honestly worried that this place isn’t busy enough and I would hate to see it go! The food is always amazing, serving sizes are large, and the prices are very reasonable. I’ve had all of the enchiladas, the tacos, and the fajitas and o have yet to be anything less than delighted. It’s become a bit of a ritual at the office to drop the car off for an oil change next door and have lunch at this place. The only problem is that it’s always empty!

This place has good tex-mex with flavor! Waitstaff sometimes has trouble with English, which does not bother me one bit — the food always comes out right and tastes great. I’ve dined in and done carry-out, both the same and good!

The appetizer was gross! We had the ceviche with mix seafood. Tasted like lime squeezed on a bunch of fish. I’ve had ceviche before, but this is the worst, For lunch I had the beef chimichanga and that thing was darn good! Shared it with my other half and we were both stuffed. Chips and salsa is also yummy. :)

I came here for lunch because I felt like mexican and thought this place would be authentic. The dining room was pleasant but that’s about it for this place. I ordered vegetarian fajitas. I thought the food was just ok. I did not find the taste extraordinary or flavorful. The tortilla chips were store bought and not home made. The salsa and guacamole were but did not taste extra flavorful. Overall I felt that the food was not authentic at all. The waitress never came and refilled my water. Most entrees for the lunch menu start from $ 9 and up. Since I could not find any authenticity in their food, I felt the prices were high for lunch. Should have gone to Thai. I probably did not order their specialty and they had an off day at the restaurant. But I doubt I will be back.

Exactly what I wanted. Good food, cheap, modest place, guacamole was fresh and creamy, friendly service. I will be back.

I have driven by this place for years and just stopped in for lunch on a whim really. I placed my order and checked in with Unilocal and my order was out in just under 11 minutes! During my wait I had the opportunity to read this spot’s reviews and instantly started to doubt my decision to drop in Paraiso Latino, but I soon discovered that those reviews were wrong. Authentic! Authentic! Authentic! I ordered a carne asada chimichanga that was packed with massive flavor. Rich with spices and beefiness, this chimichanga was nestled in a crisp, battered-fried shell. My sides of beans and rice were as good as anything I have ever had in Mexico, El Salvador, or Costa Rica. I devoured my meal like Cujo and not because I was under a time constraint for lunch(cue the 7 dwarfs’ sound track from Snow White: «Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It’s off to work we go»). Yum! And at just under 11 minutes and 11 dollars, this plate of Latin nom, nom was the perfect midday taste treat. Now, as for some of those negative reviews this place has garnered, all I can say is that I think they miss the point of Paraiso Latino: It is not some plastic representation of a Latin restaurant, for that you should just head to Chilies or Taco Bell. No, this place serves up awesome food that has real flavor and real Latin style. Of course, I didn’t order a vegetarian burrito and my waitress’s language skills where just fine, but then, this is last restaurant I would ever choose to start my Vegan journey and I could care less if my waitress speaks perfect English… No, if this is your thing you might want to head to the local wheat grass shop or perhaps Medieval Times: «Sorry, my Lord, there were no utensils in medieval times; hence, there are no Utensils At Medieval Times. Would you like a refill on that Pepsi?(The Cable Guy)
Lastly, I noticed that the had many of the spirits that I often see when I travel through Central and South America. I can’t wait to come back in when I am off duty and have an authentic Pisco Sour. The only thing wasn’t quite perfect about my experience was that my Chimichanga was slightly greasy on the bottom and the salsa just a little too chunky for my taste, but other than that, this was a great stop for lunch.

Do not listen to the ignorant people who do not realize that the only way to get authentic El Salvadorian food is to have it cooked by natives. Amazing El Salvadorian style chicken tacos, puposas are muito bom and the Margaritas are delish. Bartender and wait staff are very sweet and friendly. I come here once a week.

This place got a bunch of negative reviews, but I liked it. It’s some of the better Latin food in the area. The combo fajitas are consistently good, with chicken, steak and shrimp, and the prices are more than reasonable.

They didn’t speak English well enough to fulfill our order. Okay, that may sound ridiculous considering it’s a Mexican/Latin restaurant but they don’t have a sign at the entrance stating, no hablamos ingles. I actually wouldn’t have taken exception to that. What frosts me is that despite giving specific order details, none of them were followed and that includes my ordering water. When the waitress apparently didn’t understand, I said«Agua.» She nodded her head as if she acknowledged, so I finished my meal without a drink. The food itself was pretty good. The queso con chili was made with Velveeta. When I asked why no queso blanco, the said, «we no have.» Well, that wasn’t true because the chimichanga another person ordered was served with traditional queso blanco. Really? Velveeta? You cannot get free soda refills as they are only served in cans. We liked the fajitas adequately but the service was absolutely atrocious. It was not a good experience and for that matter, it was very expensive. One order of cheese dip, 3 fajitas and 1 chimichana was $ 60. I would have been better off taking the family to Taco Bell. Very disappointing.

Went for dinner one night with a friend. We were the only customers in the place at the time. The employees were all very friendly. The food was good — having lived in Texas and Arkansas I’ve gotten spoiled by really great Mexican food and this wasn’t quite it, but it’s good. Oh, and I had a really great glass of Shiraz and it was fairly cheap. If you want something quiet, good, with good prices then I’d reccomend this place. It’s very close to where I live so it’s a good option when I am hungry and don’t want to fight traffic on route 7.

Cute, place with really great service. I was rushing so I order take out and they had it all ready for me quickly. They also noticed that I looked thirsty gave me a glass of water and put a coke in the bag with my meal. Although I’m not a fan of soda it was a nice gesture. The fajita was tasty and the rice and beans were well cooked.

I checked this place out the other day. I thought with it being a smaller run restaurant it would be cheaper. I paid $ 10 for a burrito. Though it was a large one, I felt like it was a bit pricier than it should have been(the whole menu). It’s ok, but I’m probably not going back.

Not bad!!! Not the best Salvadorian food EVER, but I got a $ 9 combo with a pupusa, enchilada, and tamale and it was pretty good. Not bad at all for a standard, cheap, Salvadorian plate.

Came here for take-out lunch one day. I guess I felt like having real Mexican food(also Salvadorean) instead of Taco Bell across the street. The neon sign indicated open but there was hardly anyone inside. It was pretty dead, so I’m guessing they make most of their business at night since they have a bar and entertainment area with speakers and big screen TV. Waitresses were nice, cute and nervously shy when speaking English to them. Spanish seems to be their native language. I was disappointed because there were no lunch specials on the menu, so I got the chicken burrito for $ 10 which is above my price point for lunch… so already it’s not looking good. I get back to the office and open up my container and was pleasantly surprised how delicious my burrito looked and tasted. I couldn’t find anything to complain about. Good food, but I just wish they had a lunch menu.
