I have a business with multiple locations, and was obligated by our lease to procure an HVAC service contract in 2012. Since these guys are in the same development as our Manassas gym, I thought, why not? At the very least we’ll always be able to find someone to talk to! That was a mistake. The very first thing they did after signing the contract was hit us with a $ 600 bill for«relocating a thermostat.» They did not relocate a thermostat. We never asked them to relocate a thermostat. Our thermostats are in the exact same place as they were when we occupied the building. We don’t actually *want* to relocate a thermostat. That bill keeps coming up, roughly once ever 6 months, along with threats to go to a collection agency. Afterwards, they were supposed to perform quarterly maintenance. About twice out of 4 scheduled times a year, they simply don’t show up at all and claim they did the maintenance. The other two times, they sometimes claim they did ADDITIONALWORK, and then bill us for it, without actually checking in with us about a quote, whether the work is appropriate, or even if it’s necessary at all! The last straw was this week, when we put in a service call a week ago, and they simply didn’t show up. I called yesterday and left a message after nothing happening for a week, and the service manager, Theresa, called me back. She accused me of not paying our bills in a timely manner(when in fact the only«non-payment» was over fraudulent billing, as above), and told us they’d canceled our contract in November(again, without notifying us!). In a nutshell: avoid like the plague.
