The store has moved to 1323 King Street. Same great selection of interesting and stylish wares, but a new location a few blocks up the streeet.

Beautiful little shop. Middle Kingdom wares, greeting cards, and small selection of unusual jewelry. Love the stuff I buy there, and will take friends there whenever they’re visiting from out of town.

Lots of fun to poke around in. Chinoiserie has so many interesting things. I bought a set of brightly patterned tea cups that I couldn’t resist. They were very reasonably priced, too. Perfect place to buy a unique gift for a friend!

I love this store! Everything in it is beautifully designed. We registered for our wedding here because of the uniqueness of all the dishware. We especially loved the Heath Ceramics line and the iitala glasses. The owner, Peter, has an amazing eye and is incredibly helpful with everything. This is truly an amazing place! A hidden gem in Old Town.

Best design shop in Old Town. Not _only_because Peter has such a nice selection of Finnish Design(Iittala and often all kinds of more-difficult-to-find classics). Highly recommend!

This is my fave store in Old Town. It’s refreshing to find a place on King Street that’s not filled with kitschy antiques. Chinoiserie is the store for the perfect gift — for someone else and, better yet, for yourself! Their wares are asian-inspired but very contemporary. They sell design books and stationery. Hand-painted bowls and teapots. Funky dishware. Modern take on chopsticks and placements. I can tell the owner is very design-conscious as he stocks a ton of iitala on the back wall — from vases to glasses. I even found a small Lotta Jansdotter handbag in the back. I could spend hours in this store! I even love the minimalist business card — a 2×2 square, black on white, sans serif font and perfect kerning and leading. Yeah, I’m a dork, I pay attention to this kind of stuff.
