Employees are friendly and the location is convenient to other establishments. Love their double coupon promotions. The employees at the deli are nice and meat is very fresh

I went here after the Blizzard of 2016 and they had everything I needed to stock back up on and more. Apparently the night shift stayed for ages to get everything restocked and it showed. So much nicer than I expected!

The staff is always friendly(and usually very busy). My prescription is one that not a lot of places carry, and since I first sent it there, they’ve made sure to have it in stock for me. It’s always a quick and easy stop when I need to get something.

This is my go to store. I finally have to say something. This store has gone down hill. It is getting dirty and could use a thorough cleaning and/or remodel. Lately I have noticed that the front end is being run poorly. There are more carts in the parking lot then there are in the store. The other morning I saw a cashier sitting on the counter of their check out lane — got time to lean, got time to clean. The last several times we have been in we have had to bag our own groceries. Where are the managers? This use to be a friendly neighborhood store. Knew all the managers. People use to say hi. Disappointed what this store has become. Guess there will be a new one soon enough.

Stopped in here a couple times for random things while on the way to visit my dad in rehab. Got a fruit and cheese tray — everything was fresh, but well and tasty Got sushi — delishious! Got boars head deli meat — very fresh, very tasty Got a donut All visits were fabulous, lines were short, staff was very friendly. Definitely a nice place to shop and find what you need.

Went for a Venti Ice water with Matcha. First off they skimp on the matcha and don’t put enough. Then they charge me $ 3 for a tea when it’s a 85 cent drink. Not satisfied.

Come here regularly for their Starbucks drinks to groceries. First, their Starbucks baristas are outstanding. always friendly and treat you with a smile. And they always get your drink right. Sometimes I’ll ask for additional condiments like add whip cream to my latte, and they’ll be forgiving to not charge me because it was extra, not regular part of the drink, unlike one of their previous managers, Sandra, who was quick to charge even if I was not aware. As far as grocery shopping, the place is always clean and organized except when the extreme couponers come in and just hoards and disorganizes the shelves, and basically clean out the stock for something they don’t even need. Staff are friendly throughout which makes this place very welcoming.

This is the BEST Harris Teeter in DC! Location, Presentation and Quality of the Staff is Beyond Reproach! The crowd during Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner from the surrounding DOT, Navy Yard & Metro have this place full. They offer WiFi and there’s a Starbucks as well. You are able to visit here and shop and grab some food to eat during your visit. The place is extremely clean in the isles and public rest room. I’m impressed as the staff attempts to greet everyone passing through the doors. I invite you to stop by to take a look at this place and judge for yourself. It’s close enough to Nats Park to grab items before the game and easy access in and out of the garage. «Let’s Go! Make It Happen!»

As much as I gripe about the prices, I can’t help but love this Harris Teeter. What I have come to enjoy as an initially reluctant but frequent shopper 1. Convenience – right there in a big sprawling shopping center with plenty of parking. 2. Very well-organized aisles 3. Cleanliness 4. Attractive floral department, and they do provide arrangements for special occasions(hint hint newly engaged men and women) 5. Really friendly staff manning the meat and fish counter 6. Good sales on meat and seafood 7. Variety of offerings – canned coconut milk, San Marzano tomatoes, and imported cheeses all in one setting 8. Nice wine and beer selection 9. Large range of pharmacy and drugstore products 10. Random products – gloves, hats, scarves, seasonal gifts I still think their prices aren’t the best, but that HT card makes all the difference. Lovely sales. The freshness of their produce, meat, and seafood is also quite impressive. And their customer service is good.

Hands down the best grocery store I’ve ever shopped at. Open 24⁄7 they are always very clean and and fully stocked. They have awesome customer service and are very attentive. They have an amazing return policy and they pay attention to their registers. If needed, when busy they are quick to supply cashiers and open more registers. The prices really are ridonkulous, but if your living in this area I’m assuming you can afford it! If not they have their VIC membership card that’s free to sign up for!

4 stars for being so close to home haha Nice little shopping center. Good parking space and They always have a neat and clean environment. But the prices are a little above Giant and other places. But I still love it. Customer service is ok. Haven’t had a problem with them and they don’t really show anything exceptional that would make me say anything positive about them. Oh and I believe this is a 24 hour store. If I’m not mistaken lol. Which is also a positive point.

This review is for the pharmacy. This pharmacy is extremely busy, and the staff always seems to look overworked and stressed. I hate to give such a bad review, but it’s like this every time I come to the pharmacy. They obviously need to hire another pharmacy tech or pharmacist. The pharamcists aren’t mean, but it just seems as if their souls are dying a little each day! The lines are always pretty long too. Go to the walgreens pharmacy, better service!

What can you really say about Harris Teeter, I mean its just a grocery store right? Actually I have stronger feelings tonight. Some of them are good feelings… Its very handy for grabbing things I need because they’re kind of everywhere now in Northern Virginia now that they dominated and squashed the competition. I also love the fact that they have deal busters about half the normal 30%-too-high price, and when they do I completely clean them out to get even for the bad feelings I have about them. Bad feelings would include shutting out all the other competition, having generally ridiculous prices on everything, and not even really particularly having the greatest quality of meat or produce to accompany or justify their arrogance. Other good things are that there is usually a Starbucks inside, they have Red Box machines, pretty good fresh bread, and they give away free cookies. Other bad things include: the fresh sushi is really not very good, and I can’t stand the screeching fake birds as you enter and exit.

I have shopped at this store at least once per week for the last six years. So let’s just say I’m qualified to comment on this joint… Ahem… There’s a lot that’s good about HT and I’m not going to focus on that b/c it’ll take way too long; and plus it’s so much more fun to bitch about the stuff that annoys me. So let’s focus on that, shall we… The Deli Counter… I’m pretty sure HT hires their deli counter workers from the same resource pool as the DMV. These are the most miserable, un-friendly lot of people you’ll ever meat. Get it… «meat»? I slay me. Come on deli people, crack a smile everyone once in a while. You get to slice pepperoni for a living. Can’t be that bad. Just sneak a slice now and then; that’ll perk you up. The Beer Aisle… Admittedly, I am a bit of a beer geek and have fairly high requirements, but HT is at the bottom of the god damn heap when it comes to craft beer. It’s a sad day when Giant is better than you at ANYTHING. And Giant’s beer selection FREAKINGCRUSHESHT’s. And let’s not even talk about the beer selection at Wegmans; second only to Total Wine. Anyway… I have sent numerous emails to their beverage manager begging and pleading for them to expand their selection but it seems that their distributors have them by the balls. Lastly… Isn’t it nice how all the cashiers politely ask«Did you find everything you were looking for?» when you check out? Well next time, try saying«no, I didnt find X». You’ll see that said cashier wont be able to help you and doesn’t seem to care. HT — I love you but you need to step up your game. If they opened a Wegmans within 5 miles of here; you’d be crushed like a small bug.

I shop here 90% of the time for groceries. Morning spot for Starbucks(although it’s gotten to be pretty busy with long lines). Produce has a great selection. Seafood counter is decent, I’ve had a bad experience with shrimp that I bought that turned out to be «stinky», I called the store and was given a 2x refund which I appreciated after having to order out that night since the shrimp was yucky. I love that they employee neighborhood high schoolers, it’s nice to see familiar faces bagging my groceries. I dont really have any improvement suggestions — pretty happy overall.

Read this review understanding I don’t care for grocery stores. But Harris Teeter is a grocery store — like all, they’re to be avoided under almost all circumstances. I don’t like shopping for groceries and the stores always seem so dang inefficient — making for longer than needed trips. So as with all grocery stores, I’ll start with the negatives: this is a very busy Harris Teeter. It’s laid out as poorly as all grocery stores are. The positives? Good parking, and eventually your work there is always done. Staff is always helpful here. I’ve never done anything more than must-do, die-if-I-don’t forays into this store. You may ask — why even review grocery stores? I hope a Harris Teeter Exec reads this and says — how can we make our stores more efficient for dudes who don’t like grocery shopping, who don’t like lolly-gagging. Then he’ll make a grocery store for dudes… and I’ll go there… as long as it’s close.

Oh I hate Harris Teeter everywhere I go. The Aldie store on my way home from Dulles at 23:00 is only open. I would love quiet, but those stupid noices! There are no freak in pigeons in Aldie! 99% of the time, I have stopped there, an item has had the wrong price. It takes 15 minutes to find someone to fix the problem. The non-union under paid employees no nothing, have no clue what is going on there. The prices are so high, I shop, and put it back its ridiculous!!! The lactose free milk there is $ 1.00 more, 1⁄5 more then Martin’s, a sub of Giant. Terrible! I hate HT! Even in Alexandria, It was pathetic… Never again!

I don’t always have time to shop around for best prices so when I go to the grocery store, things that are important to me are fresh produce, a variety of fresh quality meats and variety of normal grocery items. While Harris Teeter does seem to have higher prices, unless you are taking advantage of their VIC specials, they do deliver on what I am looking for. The store is clean and well organized. The deli carries Boars Head products. There is a small meat and fish counter and everything I have purchased has been fresh and delicious. If you are in the market for boneless, skinless chicken breast, it is offered at the meat counter for only $ 1.99 per pound. The jalapeño cheddar bread from the bakery is delicious. I did make the mistake of purchasing their fruit tart thinking it would be similar to those sold in Wegman’s — not so. They do however have free sugar cookies(regular and low fat) in the store for«kids». My dad certainly enjoyed those — and no one complained when he took a few more than one. The staff is so helpful and friendly. For the convenience and quality, this Harris Teeter is hard to beat. I have to admit the bird noises(recording) at the entrance can be a bit disturbing. Makes me think I am about to be attacked like in the movie The Birds.

Positives — 1) Spacious, clean store 2) Large wine and beer selection(YAY Virginia laws!!) 3) Lots of produce to choose from 4) A lot of produce is now behind glass/plexiglass doors which keeps it fresher and makes the store more energy efficient 5) 7 layer bean dip? YESPLEASE!(Beware, it sells out fast on special occasions like the Super Bowl and NYE). 6) Special deals for VIC card customers — this is the only way to shop affordably at this high end chain. 7) Great customer service. I wanted 7 layer bean dip and they were out so a customer service representative called another store to see if they had any before I drove over there. 8) Plenty of parking. 9) Red Box 10) Always has shopping baskets at the door. 11) 4 – 6 self checkout terminals Negatives — Can be very expensive particularly if you are not a VIC customer. I shop at 2 – 3 different grocery stores a week and while Harris Teeter has the variety, they also have high prices. Bell peppers for $ 2.99? Try Giant for $ 1.84. Goya beans cost $ 1.50 a can here while I’ve seen them for about a $ 1 other places.
