Suburban Extended Stay Hotel East

Shame shame shame shame on you for kicking out an elderly woman just for money! I will never stay here and will tell everyone to avoid at all cost. Way to make Abq look bad during one of our biggest events. Shame shame.

Good place to stay and is right off the highway. We were initially put in a room with plumbing problems (had to flush the toilet three times and feared it would overflow at one point), but when we spoke up, they gave us the option of being reassigned to a different room or having the toilet plumbed while we stayed in that room. We chose to be reassigned, which was a huge upgrade. Not only did the plumbing work, it had a small kitchenette with a toaster, stove, coffeemaker, and large fridge so that you can do your own cooking. Also has pots, pans, dishes, and dish soap so that you don’t have to bring your own. Flat screen TV, a little upset that we were too busy to take advantage of it and just watch some TV together before bedtime. At night, we heard what we think was them trying to snake the toilet in the other room to get it working again, so I know they were on the issue promptly.
Pretty affordable, pretty nice. Breakfast is a little lacking: they ran out of cereal bowls and sometimes they run out of yogurt and other stuff.
For a good nearby meal, try Mr. Powdrell’s BBQ. Turn right out of the parking lot and go a few blocks down; it’ll be on your right.

This is one of those places I wish I could give zero stars too. Yes, the people here seem nice, but we drove over 12 hours and all we wanted to do was check in. We waited at 8:00 PM behind someone checking in and they took about 30 minutes to get to us. I’m not sure why it took so long, it seemed like the girl had no idea what she was doing.
We decided to get food before we went to our room. Got to our room and the key didn’t work. We had all our stuff with us because the place DOES NOT look safe in anyway! We walked back to the lobby and got new keys and walked back to our room and again still not working. It’s 10:00 now.
I decide to call the front desk and after getting the voicemail 3 times someone picks up the phone. I tell them the key isn’t working and I need someone to come to the room and open the door because we were not going back to the lobby.
She was CLUELESS! I have never had this type of service. Finally I tell her to refund the money because we are staying someplace else and she says the security will open the door to a different room.
STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! ITS NOT SAFE! ITS INCONVENIENT AND I AM DREADING EVERY MOMENT WE ARE HERE!

Had good experience overall. Nice rooms, great rates, awesome staff, beautiful pool and jacuzzi. Great barbecue area, security at night and very soft bed.
