Hadn’t been here for a few years and decided we’d give it a try as bit is in the hood. Saturday night at seven no reservations we were seated immediately. Surprised! Had oysters, salad and sliced steak special. All very good. Reasonably priced for atmosphere and great service. Will make a regular place again.

This was my second visit and it just keeps getting better, I had the filet the small cut which is small about 3 oz but plenty for me it was seved on top of truffle mashed potatoes, and the sauce over the filet so good. Service very good and staff knowledgeable, if you try guarantee you will be a fan.

The Lamb was really good, very nice atmosphere. The set up is really nice. The Calimari is excellent. I loved the Prickly pear Margarita(summer only). Great bar tenders & servers.

Fine dining in Albuquerque. The food was excellent and the fact that they carry non-alcoholic wine will bring us back here again.

Really disappointed last visit — was looking forward to their yummy fish tacos, went to lunch at 1pm on a Friday, was told we couldn’t get them until after 3pm, and only in the lounge… What I did have, which was a wrap sandwich was a little flat on flavor and the bill was a little disappointing… almost $ 50 for lunch for 2 sitting at the bar and drinking ice tea… I do not like the new lunch menu either, just my opinion.

Went to Savoy for a fast dinner. I sat in the bar. It took a while to get acknowledge as a guest. I had to actually go and pick up my own menu. After getting my menu I ordered their Philly steak sandwhich and a drink. The service was quite slow for a weekday night. With them not being at all busy. Finally received my food. When I tired it it was delicious. I also ordered the side or truffle fries which were amazing. Overal, the food was great. The truffle fries were amazing. Service was lacking for the type of resaraunt even at the bar. They only got 3 stars because of their subpar service.

Just happened to be driving by while looking for a place to eat dinner on date night and happened upon the Savoy. It was relatively empty for a Saturday night at 6 but quickly picked up by 7:00. The waiter was prompt and friendly. Not overly eager which I appreciate. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer. It was okay. Not too special. The bread served before the meal is DELICIOUS. Very dense and served with a lard type spread. Yum. I ordered the prime rib(petite portion). It was NOT petite, it was a large portion. It was pretty good. The sauce served with the prime rib is a bit too gravy-like and overpowers what should just be a delicious cut of meat. The mashed potatoes were good. My husband ordered the lamb which was also served with an odd tasting sauce that overpowered the lamb. The cous cous was phenomenal. Because I checked in with Unilocal,I received a FREE order of house made truffles. The chocolates were a nice end to an okay meal. For one appetizer and 2 entrees, our bill was about $ 70. I suppose I expected more heavenly fare for such a price. Scrumptious flavors I would rave about for a day or so. This was not the case. The atmosphere was nice and could be considered romanic if that is your purpose. I’m not sure if I will return as I would rather spend my money on searching for a more amazing high end restaurant. Overall it was great for date night but the food was o-k.

Nice upscale dining. They have a good happy hour menu too. Ahi has always been great. I have had steak there as well. It is pretty good but not amazing. Good wine selection and reasonable price points. Live music on the patio on certain nights, check their website for schedule.

This review is more a review of the Bar and Grill. My husband and I are on a very tight budget but we know we can always get delicious local food from a great restaurant at way affordable prices if we go before 6pm. The bar has a happy hour menu in which you can order a burger with truffle fries or a prime rib sandwich with peppers, onions and a side of truffle fries all for $ 7. The food is delicious, the portions are plentiful and we know the food is local. We have also eaten in the dining room a few times and the food and service are very good. The herb butter served with the bread is outstanding! The steaks have always been cooked to our liking and the vegetables are always fresh. Lunch is also a very affordable way to eat delicious food at Savoy. Don’t pass them by just because they appear to be a high end restaurant, you can eat affordably and we really appreciate that!

My husband and I tried Savoy as a date night experience. We made reservations on a Saturday night, but I don’t know if they were necessary, at 7 the restaurant was only half full. The bar side seemed to have many more customers. The setting and décor is upscale with a partially open kitchen. One of the joys of an open kitchen is watching a professional team of chefs work to create artistry in food. I have to say, the chefs appeared a bit sloppy to me. All of the chef jackets were too big, most of the chefs had different colors of t-shirts on and facial hair. They were also very loud, but appeared to like each other and were having a good time at work. Open kitchen concepts work a bit better with a more professional chef team as though watching a performance rather than cooks in a kitchen. They reminded me of when I worked in family style restaurants as a teenager with a young crew, it was impossible to tell who was expediting, who was the exec, who was the sous… it wasn’t upscale. Even our server remarked that the kitchen was loud that night. Would I to return I would ask for a table further away from the kitchen. Our server was a very nice person but maybe was new? She didn’t know the specials, and didn’t have many suggestions. We asked for the specials otherwise wouldn’t have known them and the pace set was very quick, no offer of an apéritif or time to review the menu. It kind of felt like when you’re at IHOP and the server asks what you want as fast as possible. The food was definitely 3 star A-OK. I liked the food, but didn’t think that it really went anywhere new or interesting. The portions were enormous. We each ordered an appetizer and an entrée. We really didn’t need the entrée, the appetizers were huge. We didn’t finish a single plate but had them wrapped to take home. I had the goat cheese and crostini and the nightly special; a flatiron steak and shrimp. The goat cheese was good(I mean come on it’s cheese) and the crostini was fine. While this wouldn’t win any awards, it tasted good. It’s something though that anyone could make at home and with the huge portion on a very small plate it wasn’t visually a showstopper. The special was meh. Grilled steak is always good and the temperature was correct to order. I think the issue was more with presentation and texture. There was really nothing on the plate that elevated it. Mashed potatoes covered with a squash in sauce then the steak and finished with some fried onions, that were mushy. The entire thing was really a plate of single texture with no stand out flavors. The shrimp were under the squash and sauce and I couldn’t tell how they were prepared, there was that little flavor. The whole plate was a bit one note with no real impact. We didn’t bother with dessert. Overall, we spent about 125 $+20% tip for this date night. The setting was upscale if not elegant, the service was ordinary, the food was mediocre. It kind of felt like the type of place your grandfather would take you for a graduation dinner. It felt old fashioned, tired, and without innovation or energy. I think I will try the happy hour in the bar as they have a separate menu and happy hour specials. This wasn’t worth a special date night and it was disappointing. I will continue to look for a modern fine dining establishment.

Upscale atmosphere and unique chef crafted food! Savoy has daily lunch specials that offers food from local farms. Lunch ends at 2pm but they allow you to stay without rushing you out. Wine list is robust and live music make it a fun night out! Savoy has delicious food with mediocre servers. If you have a business meeting, friends gathering or date night Savoy is the place to make it a special night!

Had dinner with my best friends on Monday, I ordered the eggplant entrée and asked for it Vegan. The kitchen did a beautiful job preparing the dish! Eric was our server and he was most gracious and attentive. Thank you Savoy for a wonderful experience!

I love this place! we decided to host our intimate wedding reception here and the staff was so very accommodating. Majority of my party do not eat pork and when it was discovered that one of the menu items contained pork, the staff was quick to suggest an alternative. They were very kind about it and did not complain even when we were a bit loud(there were several small children about). The food itself was delicious! the petite steak i had was the best cooked steak I’ve ever eaten! Furthermore the covered patio area was quite nice and overall the private party process was very smooth as i had steady contact with the coordinator. I would recommend Savoy Bar & Grill for anyone looking for a great intimate party venue.

We have been here twice; once for our anniversary, and once for my husband’s birthday. Both times have been wonderful. My husband and I do not get to go out often, so when we do, we like to make an evening of our meal. On our second visit, we told our server we wanted to take our time, and she obliged 100%. My husband surprised me with a diamond ring after we ordered our drinks, and our server gave us time to gush and and enjoy the moment. Our server explained everything to us wonderfully and was amazing at using descriptive words for everything. One of our favorite places for a nice meal!

I almost forgot that this beautiful, elegant restaurant used to be good ol’ Yesterdave’s. But in all seriousness, it’s a great setup and tasteful environment. The restaurant was elegant, inviting, and perfect for the occasion we were celebrating. The menu here is diverse, taking some risks here and there, but not over-doing it. I absolutely loved all the appetizers; we sampled quite a few! And my main course was fresh and flavorful. I really appreciate how the food is not over seasoned with anything. Sometimes it seems as though restaurants cover up natural flavors with too many spices and add-ins, but not at Savoy! Instead the food is simple, yet still bursting with natural aromas. I really enjoyed my experience here, but my one complaint was the service. It was confusing because we had one waiter at the beginning of our meal and suddenly we had a different waitress. She was very odd, and a bit too close for comfort. She also would not fill the wine glasses as often as we would have liked, or as full. All in all, great experience. I definitely recommend checking this one out if you have not.

Atmosphere was grate bartender Arthur was grate making my wife feel at home for her birthday. One of the nicest bartender in town. Prime rib was good but was served with steamed broccoli under it(not a good idea) to me prime needs to be served with nothing to ruin the meat taste. Grate place to meet with friend’s. My first visit for my wife’s b-day and was just ok, but as I said the bartender made our night.

Okay, I’m a HUGE fan. I cannot vouch for the regular dinner menu but I’m sure I will soon because the wine tasting event was the best I have ever had — and that includes a couple in Napa Valley and one outside of Paris years ago. After an initial miscommunication with one of their staff, the manager reached out to me to get me to come in, which I did, last night, dragging one of the parentals(my darling Mom). First of all, you should know this is not just a wine tasting: It is a very high-end, five-course dinner from excellent chefs who are flexing their culinary muscles and clearly enjoying the opportunity to be creative, and wine pairings that are spot on. The tasting room is just a private dining room, beautifully lit, with several tables that seat 6 – 8 each. With just two of us, we were seated with some other people who were all repeat customers and were raving when we first sat down about how great the last one was. The chef came out to explain each dish and his inspiration for same. The pastry chef came out at the end and when she said the words«goat cheese,» my mother’s face was priceless, but seriously it was the best dessert I have had in ages, and even Mom loved it. I did not love every wine, but I loved the way they thoughtfully paired each one with the accompanying dish. It was more than a tasting, and more than a dinner, it was an experience. It is expensive for Albuquerque, but you are not paying for someone to make you feel superior at your next dinner party with some new wine jargon, you are paying for the ridiculously good food, great atmosphere, and some truly remarkable wines that you don’t see on most wine menus — certainly not here in our fine state. The chef, the sommelier, and the management come table to table to answer questions and make sure you are happy. I won’t go into detail about every single item that was served but will say that there was nothing that was not creative, very tasty, and beautifully presented. I expected to have a little taste of something with a drop of wine with each and was pleasantly surprised to find that I was getting full by the third course and had to lay off to save room for the rest of the deliciousness. If you want something special, get on their email list and try one a wine tasting. Truly a memorable evening. Thanks, Kevin and Michelle!

Yummmm! This place does such a great job with top quality service and food. I was impressed with the waiter we had. He had answers to everything, and if he didn’t he pulled someone over to explain. The food was delish! I had the prime rib and a moscow mule. The combo was delightful. Such a FAT piece of meat ha(see the photo). Located in the NE heights, and a perfect spot to bring someone for an event(here for a bday) or just to get a good meal. The atmosphere is elegant and a nice tone. Kind of expensive but worth it once and a while.
